Nice patio but terrible service. We were literally the only people there, it was during operating hours, and couldn't get service. The bartender couldn't be fussed to take our order. However, I can see this place doing well with proper staffing. Oh, and by the way, the menu they had posted on their website at the time (3/15) didn't match anything that they were serving. Bartender said the whole menu changed but the website hadn't been updated yet.

I came to this restaurant/lounge while traveling for work and staying in the adjoining hotel. It's got great views and a really cool patio ambiance, loved that. They didn't have a great wine selection but I heard the cocktails are pretty good - I had a Pinot Grigio because there was no Sauvignon Blanc and my only other white option was a Chardonnay. I also ordered the sausage fennel flatbread. The pizza was okay - it wasn't amazing but it was good. The service was fast and good, my only criticism there was that it wasn't overly clear that it was a "seat yourself but order at the bar" kinda place. Ultimately, I would recommend as a nice, quiet place to have drinks before heading out downtown. Great views!

Hot Hot spot!! It's an adorable setting on the rooftop of E CENTRAL hotel and its dreamy LA view is popular. So this rooftop lounge gives you a half 360 of the Sunup & Sundown vibe. They have umbrellas for the hot days & heating lamps for the colder eves. The food is amazing & the hostesses are darling. We had a wonderful time and seating is sorta a chic la chic eclectic atmosphere... Fun people & Music Parties of 2 to 20 are welcomed. They'll cater to your every need!! Loved it

Cool little hotel bar located on the second floor of E central hotel, with a nice outdoor patio to people watch.

Trying to take this all in that the game was cancelled

Located on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Nicely decorated bar/lounge with an indoor, semi-outdoor seating areas. Great view of LA Live, Staple Center, ESPN ect. We were staying at the hotel, had drinks before going across the street to check out other venues. Drinks were ok.... waitress was friendly. Tried going back the following nite to basically pre-game before heading out on the town, we were told the Nixo patio lounge was closed for a private event...... I replied, well we are GUEST here can we just order a drink... answer was NO......okkurrrrrr

Lounge is nice overall. We were staying at the hotel. The menu on yelp is wrong . They have a limited menu now. The workers at the bar are not very friendly at all. Our waiter was nice I wish I would have gotten his name. I would stay at the hotel again but I wouldn't eat in this place .

NIXO IS A GREAT PLACE FOR A BITE & BEVERAGE ==================================== Arrived at Staples Center at 5:45 p.m. before a 8:30 p.m. concert and I couldn't believe how hard it was to get into a restaurant. Couldn't go to the Yard House because there was a line out the door with about thirty people. Apparently that was a favorite with the Eric Church fans. Beer was in abundance as we walked past their patio. Then we went in Rock 'N Fish and they had an hour wait and Rosa Mexicano had a two hour wait. Tip: Try to get to Staples Center as early as possible if you want to eat something other than the food at Staples. Anyway, by this time we were starving and as we stood at the corner of Olympic and Figueroa we saw NIXO on the second floor of a hotel across the street, so we decided to check it out. That was a great decision and we now know where to go in the future for that perfect al fresco vibe. The service, food and atmosphere were great! We shared the Lobster Mac 'n cheese and a Caesar salad and they were perfect. They had a live jazz band there and they were great. Some dancers even came out for one song, but I don't have a video. I would definitely go back again.

Rooftop view, ESPN, Staples center, Microsoft theater and more restaurants were right across the street

Nice lounge, my husband and I enjoyed an afternoon at the lounge over the weekend. Weather was perfect on the rooftop Service was great, the atmosphere was perfect. We ordered the lobster Mac n cheese, brisket sliders, and truffle fries(shared the meal) For drinks I had a white Sangria, well I had two because it was so good. My husband had a blue moon, his go to beer. The food was and drinks was so good. Checked out the bathroom it was clean and maintained. Happy hours Monday-Friday 4-7 perfect timing I definitely will go back to this lounge and recommend other to go as well.

This patio has a super fun atmosphere! They had a DJ playing music, the space heaters going, and open seating. The view overlooks LA live and the bustle going on on the street below. I will say, the drink service was a little slow and the drinks were on the pricier end for what they were. But if you're staying at the E-Central hotel, it's worth stopping by!

I was pleasantly suprised about the food! We came here pre-Clippers game to have some drinks and snacks and I was pleasantly surprised! My sister and I split the poke tacos & beef roll. Salad food for a hotel bar... and we were mainly there to support our friend the bartender :) Nothing to go out of your way for, but a bar close to the arena without being at LA live

Celebrated our first Valentines Day together and wanted to really like this place. Nixo Patio Lounge is a rooftop area with a small space but they seated us in the more formal opposing side of the Lounge. A little confusing, but it's fine with us. Old-school white linens with square low tops, black napkins and silver stemware with a red rose for the holiday on each table. There was one other couple in the entirety of the restaurant. That doesn't deter us. Nixo Patio Lounge had a pre-fixe menu for the holiday which was an interesting Asian fusion. The hubs and I got different options so we got to try everything. Appetizers: Calamari with Truffle Oil - Crunchy not greasy, a slight hint of truffle this was my husband's favorite. Korean Short Ribs - Too sweet and tried really hard to imitate traditional Korean Short Ribs so wasn't really fusion but more so tasted like an prototypical short rib you can buy pre-marinated and cook at home from a Korean market. Main Course: Rib-Eye with Potatoes and Vegetables - Rib-Eye ordered medium rare, came out medium, so fairly dry. Salmon over a bed of greens/corn/meat - Best part of my meal, I felt that the salmon had a nice crunch on the outside while keeping it's flavor and not being over powered by the seasoning. Didn't particularly care for the random bed of veggies and meat that it was laid on top of, that was left untouched. Dessert: Chocolate Tort-like Pastry with Vanilla Ice Cream -Unpalatable, could have eaten something better from Starbucks. Crust was stale and the chocolate wasn't well balanced as it was too sweet and rich. Overall, service wasn't horrible but they were mostly in the back and only came out to bring out the next course. Really wanted to like this place but unfortunately, probably won't be coming back.

Our bartender was helpful and personable welcoming us and taking our orders. Under advice from Caña member Elite Yelper, Isobel L., who graciously took us under her wing, we ordered a shot of Nicaraguan Flor de Caña Rum aged 12 years that came with a cigarillo. We adjourned from the bar to the patio to smoke our mini-stogies and sipped our rum. We came early when there were very few members so it was the perfect place to talk and mellow out. Those who want a more animated crowd probably should come much later when lively dance music begins, and booties start to swing. Caña Rum Bar: 4 stars
