There were tacos being cooked fresh right outside and you could smell them inside. There was also trivia taking place when we arrived. We wanted to try the beer so we ordered from the friendly bartender. The menu is on a screen but there are two pages so we had to read quickly as the screen flipped between the two pages/lists of the menu. The trivia event was taking place further inside the bar so we stayed toward the front and it was fine and we were not in their way. They have merch if you're into representing. There is a booth where you can sit next to a skeleton - that's also fun.

They are costed in the most magical concoction of a bean puree, cashew cheese sauce, and guacamole which all have the most creamy, luscious and savory flavors. It's so hearty and well seasoned and not only filling, but you feel great after. Parking is pretty easy, as there are usually ample meters available nearby. The MBK is inside the Indigo hotel where we are staying for the weekend. The decor for the bar and restaurant area is trendy and well thought out. I love the colors and use of vintage photos for wallpaper. We were seated after a short wait and everyone was friendly. Our food was exactly what we expected. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and oatmeal/toast. We were not offered a refill of our drinks. Our server took a break but no one picked up for him at our table. There was a steady stream of people stopping in to eat and the food looked great. Everyone seemed to enjoy the space and food. I noticed there is an overall sense of things being kept up and tidy but when you look closely you will see a lot of dust. I was surprised that the bar are had shelves of alcohol bottles sitting on a very solid layer of dust. This can also be seen on window sills and areas that can be overlooked but should definitely be on the standard cleaning list. Overall, we enjoyed our time at MBK and had a nice meal. From breakfast to lunch, happy hour to din din, the MB&K is here for you all seven days from 6:30 am until 10pm each night, though I've seen the bar stay open until 11pm or even midnight. Love the vegan, vegetarian and even gluten free items, it's a have health conscious menu as well as allergen aware. Though breakfast could absolutely use an easy straightforward vgn/v option. Great bartenders each time we were here. Good stuff on their flatscreens. Solid servers and restaurant staff. We got to see their holiday/Thanksgiving menu for the day, but stuck with our non-traditional meals. A good variety of American fusion style dishes. Salads, soups, pastas, sandwiches, appetizers/shareables, burgers, plates/entrees, desserts and more. We got sat in the cozy round / circular areas every day we were here.
