Niyozaki grill is so good. I highly recommend it if you are craving hibachi. I usually get their Niyozaki rice plate with steak and chicken which comes with 2 scoops of rice and I also ask for vegetables. The steak is tender with a lot of flavor. Their ginger sauce is so good and you can tell they make it there. Everything is made to order so it's fresh when you get it. The people there are nice and they make me feel welcomed. Tried this Teppanyaki-style grill tonight and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the fried rice with steak, shrimp, and scallops, and for only $13.99, it was an incredible deal. The flavors were great, the portion was generous, and I loved the variety of vegetables included. My only small complaint was that the steak was more well-done than I prefer--probably my fault for not specifying, but they also didn't ask. Next time, I'll make sure to request it how I like it. I don't know how this place remains open. I tried it years ago and was disappointed, so I thought I'd give it a try again. I walk in and it's empty AND no a/c. A portable one that if you're standing by cashier desk you're good. I ordered shrimp/scallops Soba and salmon roll. They pull pre-packaged seran wrapped noodles w/veggies and pre-packaged salmon and shrimp. I knew this was not going to be good. The salmon roll was made (i think, I didn't see) and it had cream cheese. Got home and just as I thought....not good. The only good thing was the extra white rice. $26 wasted. I came here based on the good reviews. This isn't Japanese owned ands not authentic. The taste is ok but it's more Thai making Japanese food. My sister loved it but I'm the picky eater. Japanese is much much better. The guy taking the order needs to speak up a little more and maybe need to get a personality. This might be good enough for people who may not know the differences in Asian cuisine but this isn't for me. I wish i could give a 4.5 just because the sushi doesnt have seasoning in the sushi rice. I really had high hopes for this place. Been open for more than a month, giving them time to work out any kinks, refine their craft etc. Especially, since they're right around the corner from my house and there's no place around here that makes this style of food. The only flavor I got was after I used some of the sauces. 2. Sushi looked like it was prepackaged, and not made fresh and it tasted that way as well. Came here for the first time today to support a local spot in my city. First, the service was AMAZING and they got our modifications RIGHT! Also, their prices are very reasonable. Food: I'll break down what we ordered Clear soup: was very under salted (taste like water) and definitely needs some love. Steamed dumplings: good/decent Crab wontons: fresh and good (could have used some seasoning (green onion) in the cream cheese White chicken plate: knew chicken may be dry because it's breast and it was a little dry. The fried rice definitely needs some egg, green onion, and a little seasoning. Shrimp noodles: I ordered them without teriyaki sauce because I'm not a fan of sweet food and they were ok. Noddles were soft and needed some love as well. Maybe some veggies and flavor. Sushi: actually good for what we ordered. Not the best, but good for being cheap. I ordered the steak, shrimp, and chicken soba, tuna rolls, and vegetable spring rolls. While the food was edible it tasted really bland and was missing flavor the noodles was basically top ramen which while wasn't bad didn't have much flavor. I added the sauced included along with soy sauce and what appeared to be ranch dressing it helped but still didn't do much for flavor. While I would eat the soba in a pinch if I wanted something quick to eat I definitely wouldn't order the rolls again. They had a heavy fish taste the type of taste you get when something been sitting for a while. The spring rolls on the other hand tasted great alone and with the sweet and sour sauce. If I could make a recommendation I would look into adding spices and herbs to add flavor to the food. Again I would eat the sana in a pinch but definitely it something I would be craving or recommend to others. read more
