I paid for a manicure, pedicure and tipped $20. When I left and saw my nails in the sun I could see that the polish had been applied so lightly you could see streaks through to my natural nail. I returned within 30 minutes and asked for a refund for the manicure only. The staff said it was my fault because I picked the color but it had nothing to do with that, it was about how it was applied. I was then told I should've said something during the manicure even though I could t see how bad it was until I was outside. They refused a refund so I am disputing with my bank and never returning. There were also several other things I could mention about cleanliness and the overall environment but I'll leave it at this. read more

Never go to this salon. It is filthy. Dirty tools, towels, stations. Should be shut down for lack of hygiene. I made an apt and every guest sat waiting while they let more walk ins come and wait with not enough staff. They used cheese graters as callus remover and did not sanitize before or after use. No tools were in disinfectant. The man in this picture cut both of my toes cuticles where they bled and proceeded to pretend he did not when I told him. I was so upset and they charged me 60 dollars and told me to never come back when I complained about it being cut. Horrible people, disgusting salon and should be closed down permanently. read more

I was recommended here , first time going. My "nail technician" was with this tomboy girl?. I asked how much it was for gel with coffin and the lady up front said $35 . But my NT said it was $40 . No biggie but the whole time getting my nails done , was the worst experience ever . She was on her phone most of the time and was distracted and over-drilled my nails. When it came to the gluing the fake nails on , it burned so bad! I almost left with 7 nails done, I was ready to leave, but she said it's because my nail bed was "too thin" and I only had 3 more nails to go. Most of them were crooked, the coffin shape was so uneven and the edges were left sharp. Not to mention , she used so much nail glue, it was left all under my finger. I have spent so long trying to find someone who does my nails the way I like. I'm so picky! Luna does them great! Her skill set is out of this world and she can replicate anything I show her. She's also consistent. They stay on so well even though him a hairstylist and my hands are on water a lot. I went to N'Joy nails after Lovely nails across the road was not able to give me the service i wanted: Christmas nails. I walked in and was seated immediately. It was full of people so I figured it must be good. I am greeted by a woman who speaks quite and very good English, it was just hard to hear her over the drill. She did an amazing job, though one of my nails was crooked at first. I got tips added and painted over with a red color and she designed my nails for me, all for about 20 bucks. I tipped of course. But just a couple thoughts: New chairs are necessary for customers. The employee lounging on her iPhone with a half cut open shirt was inappropriate. But these are just two complaints from somebody used to a different suburb salon setting. This was great for E. Riverside. This is a detailed review about my experience with Luna. Luna was highly recommend by a friend of mine, plus I look on her Instagram she does great work. On My 1st appointment with Luna, I came right on time. I waited extra 10 minutes due to her working on another client. Which was no problem, I wasn't in a rush. My nails looked great, I like them so I ended up booking another appointment. Luna doesn't give you choices. She tells you when your appointment day is and what time. The day on my nail appointment with Luna, I got a flat tire. I texted her and told her that I will be unable to make my appointment. She texted me back telling me about her cancellation policy. I ask her why do I have to pay you an extra $20 because I had a flat tire? That didn't make sense to me. Luna is Very unprofessional, too emotional, immature and very rude. I've been going to N'Joy for a few years now. I recently started doing SNS (powder) manicures and my nails have never looked better. Linda does such a great job and every time I come in she is very cheerful and helpful. I even went in with a broken nail and she fixed it and touched up my other nails without charging me extra. I did have a gentleman once and he did not do a great job with my SNS manicure and I ended up breaking a few nails, but other than that I've been very pleased with their services. read more

I rarely ever get my nails done, probably 3 times in my lifetime before I came here and I've been back for refills which I've never done before. I tend to just grow them out until I'm eventually able to scrape the acrylic off. Reason I came back for refills is for the great service even as a walk in! Terrible! Went here today in a pinch when my regular place was unexpectedly closed. The owner seemed nice but my technician was awful! She hurt me several times while giving me a pedicure, then barked at me that if I wouldn't jerk, I wouldn't be hurt (in other words, blamed me for the fact that she was causing me to wince in pain.) Then, her pedicure "massage" was maybe 2 seconds of wiping lotion on, not remotely massaging. To top it all off, I get up from the dryer at 10 minutes to leave and she YELLS hatefully across the room at me that I need to wait 20 minutes (at this point, I've been getting mani/pedis over 20 years and know I'm fine at 10 minutes). Just a rude, careless technician who understands nothing about customer service. For the first time in years, I left zero tip and won't be back. read more
