Omg, just NO! We just left, my daughter got fourth of July design, they didn't even know what we were asking for, so we pulled up a picture, it took 3 people to understand what she wanted .....stripes and stars with red, white and blue. Duh. Then they said they can't do it.....? Excuse me? From the other photos it looks like they do a lot more intricate stuff. I couldn't believe just painting her nails cost $20....then to speed up the process 2 on 1....lines smudges and crooked, and the stars look like that of a four year old kid drawing. So if you are expecting something fancy then this is a place is not for you. I don't particularly care for it. N'Joy Nails is clean and the person doing my nails was polite. She carried a bit of conversation which is something I appreciate. Other nail salons don't even bother. After my pedicure was done, I thought she was going to do my manicure while I was sitting at the pedicure spa chair. I ended up sitting in the manicure station which is much easier. Other nail salons let you sit at the pedicure chair and do the manicure in one hand and grab your other hand which is uncomfortable. Easy to find , walked in and they were kind of busy but able to get me seated right away. The girl doing my nails was very nice I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she helped me find the right colors and copied it right on. When I lived in the Riverside area a few years back, I would come here all the time for gel manicures that were friendly to my student budget. Cindy is wonderful and does great work! However, the mani-pedi I received this weekend was subpar. I wish I had gotten the name of the girl who did my pedicure. She must have been new because she cut my cuticles so far down they were raw. I didn't notice it at the time, but two days later I have tiny scabs on 4/10 of my toes. The manicure wasn't much better, and the polish was so haphazardly applied that there are visible cracks in the sides. I wouldn't discourage anyone from coming here - it's a good value. As a walk in we were seen right away which was nice as it was packed inside. I was taken to get a pedicure and my friend was told there was no way we could get pedi's at the same time despite the multiple chairs open on our side of the shop.. She went to get a fill to which they began taking off EVERYTHING instead of a simple fill which she asked for. They gave her a fill price instead of charging a full set. The young lady doing my pedicure was very rough and caused my toes to bleed because "lots of dead skin." Never have I ever had that happen. Nonetheless, the polish turned out alright. She went on to do my manicure and did not file them even, kept forgetting to turn the LED light on, and gel was being LED'd to my skin surrounding the nails. It was not a neat job. My gel manicure didn't last a week - Most likely because she was messing with her phone and AirPods the entire time. Great environment and very professional my nails were done in a timely manner. The nail Tech not only held my attentions with conversation but when she did speak to someone else it was in English and involve me in the conversation, she made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. The only inconvenience is that Luna works by appointment only and is in high demand some of her work is displayed on Instagram. Tried out N'Joy for the first time, after living nearby for almost a year, and wasn't thrilled, unfortunately. I went in for gel removal and a basic manicure, and the paint job just wasn't great. The gentleman who worked on my nails took great care to remove my old gel polish, which I greatly appreciated, but when it came time to the actual nail painting, it was just a sub par job. I got white polish, which can definitely be a bit tricky, but I came out with extra paint on the skin around my nails and some uneven coats. Normally, I would have asked for him to paint another layer to fix it, but I had been there nearly an hour and was just ready to go home. The salon itself also felt really cluttered and a bit dirty. And, the pricing online was incorrect; it lists a $10 manicure, but I was charged $15 + $5 for gel removal. Bummer. read more

They advertise $20 acrylics but nickel and dime everything including charging more for shapes. My $20 acrylics somehow turned into $55 nails. My gel pedicure chipped within 2 days. When I got back from vacation and wanted to remove my nails, they didn't soak at all. Rather, they used a plastic nail to pop my nails off and the woman got snotty with me that it was painful! Deserves 0 stars lol. My friend and i went in to get our SNS taken off and redone, but with nail art on top because when we were referred here we were told they were amazing. Both of our nail techs started to remove our SNS, but THEY JUST RIPPED IT OFF. No soak or anything. We will start with my story.....My nail broke and bled immediately when they started and i begged to have them soaked and at first i was refused because it would "take longer" and that's not how they do it. After about 5 minutes of me sitting in agony and begging to have my SNS properly taken off they agreed, but when i sat down they brought just straight up a bowl of acetone for me to put my nails in. When they finished all of my SNS still isn't off bc they used the grinder to take them off which doesn't do anything. I stopped there because I wasn't about to let them do anything else to screw me over more. Probably the worst experience of my life. Now on to my friend.....her nails didn't break off when the SNS was being ripped off and attached below is her final result and her nails are throbbing from the improper removal. We showed them pictures of what we wanted (linked below) when we walked in and were confidently told they could do it, and they tried I'll give them that, but if they couldn't do it they should have just told us so we could leave immediately. DO NOT GO HERE. I hardly post reviews but I had to for this place. I decided to come here and get a fill which they advertise for $13. I sit down with a lady and say I want the coffin shape bc that's exactly what I already had, so I wanted to keep the same shape. Then I hear another worker next to me tell her client "oh let's watch, this is her first time doing a square nail". Which pretty much means the lady doing my nails is brand new which worried me, and I was right. My nails look REALLY bad, especially the sides of my nails. On top of it she says it's $20 because I had previously had gel polish and it was an extra fee to shape my nails coffin, even thought they were already shaped. Dirty, loud, terrible service... This place is affordable however the ladies in this salon need to work on their customer service. As soon as I arrived I was seated for a pedicure which was great. As I sat down for a pedicure a male worker sat at my station to start working on my pedicure all of a sudden the ladies working in the salon start talking among themselves. I'm not really sure what they were saying as they were not speaking English, which doesn't bother me at all, but I could tell they were talking about me because they kept pointing at me and at the male worker that had sat to do my pedicure in angry loud tones of voices. One of the ladies kept telling the male something and then she slapped his arm and pushed him away to work on someone else while still pointing at me during their conversation. The lady then proceeded to take out her phone and she tried pushing the male worker to take a picture with me which i said no to. She kept insisting At this point I started to get really uncomfortable because I could tell they were talking about me. Eventually the lady stopped and picked up a towel and threw it at me telling me to cover up my legs. I was wearing a pair of shorts which I usually wear when I go to these types of places to get a pedicure and I have never had a problem like this. There were other customers wearing shorter shorts and even low cut blouses than I was but apparently she didn't like the fact that I was wearing shorts. Embarrassed and uncomfortable I used the towel to cover my legs and someone else took over doing my pedicure. I can't say that I will over go here again. I don't think I was treated fairly and I definitely did not feel welcomed or comfortable while getting a pedicure. I would not recommend this place to my friends due to the lack of customer service skills. The only pros about this place and the reason why i rate it 2 starts instead of 1 is that its fast and fairly cheap compared to other places. Every business owner gets bad reviews, but it's what you do with those bad reviews that speaks to you as a person. As someone who handles public relations for small businesses in the beauty and fashion space, I can easily respect anyone who can grow their fanbase so flawlessly. Her designs are perfection, but my experience with Luna was me waiting 45 minutes past my appt time without an apology for the delay. Everyone has their bad days so I left and forgot about it. I did love seeing the designs so I continued to follow her on social media which is when I saw her post urging followers to "give her a shoutout" for the nasty review. Like some of the others, I was shocked that a business owner was posting this. You can't please everyone and flipping out won't make that review go away. They are called reviews for a reason, you give honest feedback on how an experience went to alert future customers who plan to spend hard earned money on those same services. The salon itself is fair priced, your typical nail salon, not super fancy like some of the nail salons I've been to in Austin, but that's no biggie. I wanna say a full set by a regular nail technician in the shop is somewhere around $20-$25. Everyone does nails their own way. I've been some times and liked the foundation, shape, and length of my nails, but sometimes the work has been a little rough. I have a big thing about nails not matching and being different lengths, so that's usually when I get picky. After going a few times, I heard about Luna from friends and also follow her work in Instagram. She has a pretty huge following and is pretty high in demand. She is usually booked for weeks, but will post that there has been an opening from time to time. Well I finally got an appointment and went in super excited. Now one thing I will say that's kind of annoying and inconsiderate that popular nail technicians do is charge their customers when they are late or have to cancel last minute no matter the circumstances, but then won't give some sort of compensation when they themselves are late to an appointment. Luna was about 15 minutes late due to the rain I'm assuming. No problem. She got there I showed her a couple inspiration images. I ended up getting medium length, coffin shaped nails with mermaid dust or whatever they call it on 8 of the nails and 2 of the nails had rhinestones on them (but not fully covered). My price was $70 after everything. That didn't even include a pedicure. Now I've had my fair share of getting my nails done. I've been to fancy places, not so fancy places, places that do BOMB nails and never have I ever paid $70 for something as simple as what I got. (BTW two rhinestones had fallen off by the next day). I've gotten tons of stuff on my nails before and I may have paid $60 max. Now I'm not the type to knock someone's hustle, because I too provide services and feel as though I should be able to charge what I please when charging my customers for their makeup, but I am also reasonable. First time going, just went in for a simple refill. It was full so I wasn't too bothered by waiting a bit. Once i got seated it was with this tom boy looking girl or boy idk. Well the whole time she was on her phone. Very unprofessional. Taking 2xs longer to do my nails because of her/his texting. I got my nails coffin shaped. They were so uneven, i wanted regular nail polish, nope. She went and got gel. The nail coats had residue on them making them look bumpy, but whatever i just wanted her/him to be done. I was frustrated by being there so long! I left and my nails were sharp af in the corners. Didn't noticed when i left so i had to come back. Thing is, i was charged $38 for a damn refill!! This was terrible service. I called and asked how much a full set gel manicure would be, and they told me $30. I arrive 15 minutes later and when I finish my manicure, they charge me any lower than 40. I explained I had just called in and that I was told $30, but no one seemed to know who I spoke to on the phone or care that there was a price discrepancy.
