NOT A PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT DIRECT & HONEST COMMUNICATION IN ADDITIONAL TO BEING RELIABLE. I'll begin with a friend of a friend recommended me to come here, and speak to a specific individual, who's the manager. The night before I brought my car in my car wouldn't start after work, so i towed it home. He wasn't in the day I brought my car in, I needed help, assuming everyone is capable and work as a unit, I entrusted my vehicle with a guy name Ivan to check my car out. He told me it's my alternator. I bought after maker used alternator that didn't work well, I bought a brand new sensor from Oreillys that didn't work either, so I ended up buying a brand new battery sensor from Honda, then i bought a brand new alternator from Oreillys and that didn't work either, so I ended up buying a brand new alternator from Honda, which cost around $700 I went to Honda twice, loved my experience there, it was expensive but I felt like they cared enough to educate you. Honda Colma, CA. I took several trips to Oreillys buying and returning parts. I even bought a brand new battery just because it's getting low anyway and that wasn't even part of the plan. So i ended up reconnecting with the Manager of this place named Juan, he ended up replacing the brand new honda alternator for me, to find out there's a burnt out fuse due to replacing alternators a few times, he took care of that, then he told me the "fuse box" needs to replaced, so we got that done too at the same time. all of this was happening back in late February, then March. I waited this long to write this review, for a reason, i wanted to know if something will go wrong again. About 2 weeks ago, I was at the gas station and my car wouldn't start, maybe because i left the key in the ignition even though my car was off, so i got it jump started at the gas station, everything was fine. I was told by the mechanic of this place to bring it if it happens again. Last Friday i was out of town at the gas station again, my car wouldn't start, so i waited for maybe 5 min, and it started. this morning, it won't start, i asked my neighbors to jump start and it wouldn't do anything, it has the clicking noise everyone tells me it's the starter. I called the manager of this place like hey, I've mentioned this to you guys twice, did you guys not check the starter and he said no, and there's no way to check it. I'm just over this place, i'm asked to go back there next morning, but F that, I - 0% trust this place now, i'm going to 415 mechanix at this point, they have been so helpful with me on the phone. After they read this, I hope they learn, and educate themselves even more, because there's too much back and forth. 415 mechanix had fixed my starter for me, really nice guy, honest and direct, with communication skills, I suggest that place. Andy is the owner and he's great. I'm never going back to this place, I was patient for as long as I could, I was calm, but i'm better off elsewhere. read more

This establishment is super friendly , attentive and extremely quick as far as a turn around , they do not overcharge and provide an extremely positive experience I can't even name how many people I've recommended to this establishment but a true authentic San Francisco Gem . Not reliable or good. Waste of money. I tried to get starter replaced. Even though the flywheel was damaged they never made an attempt to show that to me or inform me before replacing the starter. Waste of my money and time. I was waiting in the car shop while they did this and when I asked if they could show it to me they said they saw it and it's now put together with the new starter. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE !!!!!!This auto repair shop is garbage !! My boyfriend had took his car to get his crank shaft fixed and the mechanic told him it would be ready in a few days a few days passed and the mechanic told him that it something wrong with the motor & that wasnt even the problem to begin with ..moral of the story is it has been in the shop since February in its now july and the mechanic comes up with all these things wrong with his car just to get money he been giving my boyfriend the run around mind you his car was perfectly fine it was just a piece he needed to fix his car & my boyfriend has put in over $1000 to get his car fixed and nothing still hasn't got done !!! read more

I wish I could give this place 0 Star, brought my car in for an oil change then 1 week later I was driving on the freeway and heard a weird sound, at first I thought its windy. Later on there was a guy driving next to me waving at me and said that my car is on fire . So I pullover and found out that the engine splash shield fell off. The next morning I brought my car back to the shop and told them what happened last night, then they told me its my fault. I probably hit something that's why it fell off. This is just bullshit. How the hell I don't know if I hit something that made it fall off. Lucky for them that I forgot to ask them for my receipt, otherwise i would have report them to the BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair). read more

I got my radiator fixed here, the guy was very nice and fixed my car in a short amount of time!! This was first time here and I wasn't sure since i noticed a few 2015 reviews. But now I'm 2017 they seem to be doing a great job with good prices!! They have definitely earned my future car business!! read more

This place charges cheap but they have a way of not showing or giving reciept for the work they do. If your a returning customer they act as if you never been there before. I honestly think its because they do a half ass job on things like fixing brakes, changing thermastat, fixing electrical issues, etc. I say that because they break or undo something else that makes you come back to make them more money. Once i took my car there for a thermastat change and to get my car to stop over heating, i check under my hood its a crew drilled in my battery. A few weeks past by my car was overheating AGAIN!!! ITS OBVIOUS WHY THEY DONT GIVE OUT RECIEPTS THEY ACT AS IF THEY DONT KNOW YOU WHEN YOU COME BACK COMPLAINING ABOUT THE WORK THEY DID ON YOUR CAR. I came here after receiving a flat. I always delivered parts to this location and I happened to have a flat tire. I decided to go ahead and replace my breaks as well. My car is a year old and I had Chevy check why my car was making squeaky noise. They kept telling me it's dirty like other mechanic, and some even suggested to replace my rotors which would cost me $80 to $120 for one. Here they resurfaced the rotors for $15 bucks and replace my brakes for $120 total and out in 45 minutes. Due to the bad reviews I just seen and unsure on what to say.
