Amazing! Highly recommend. This is a long story (believe me!), but I'll keep it short. My car conked out on Christmas night. I called AAA for a tow and didn't know where to go. The tow truck driver, Bob, recommended Best Auto. He said that he lives in the neighborhood and knows a lot of people who go there and are happy with the service. We left my car in front of the building and dropped the key in the lock box, around 2AM Thursday morning. A few hours later, Jim, the shop owner called me and explained that they are actually closed for Christmas this week. BUT, he wants to help me out and has a guy working on Saturday. Sure enough, the mechanic got my car fixed and running smoothly early Saturday afternoon. The cost was reasonable and honest. I was scared of being taken advantage of, being in a desperate situation. Second time going in to service my car. This time I needed regular maintenance checks for oil change, tire rotation, brake checks. Jim was very patient when I was telling him what I needed and actually told me certain things weren't needed at the moment which saved me some money. Ended up just doing an oil change and changing my cabin and engine air filters. Very reasonably priced. Waaaay less than if I were to go to my dealership to service my car. I dropped my car off at 8am and didn't pick up my car until 4pm. They said they would call me when my car is finished but they never did, so I had to call and they said my car was done. I brought my brand-new tire to Best Auto Care for replacement and wheel alignment. Jim Li, the shop manager, informed me that the service would take a couple of hours, but it ended up taking four hours. However, I didn't mind because I didn't need the car at the time. The total cost for one tire replacement and wheel alignment was $190. The mechanic noticed that the rear right wheel was denting and was causing the tire to wear out, so he advised me to replace it as soon as possible. I had a malfunctioning headlight and clogged windshield wiper nozzle. Although they were fixed, they did not inform me of a gap between the cowl vent hood and windshield glass. I do not know whether removal of the cowl vent hood during repair of the nozzle exacerbated the gap, which was from years of sun damage. I am certain they never told me that the gap would cause water leakage into the HVAC. read more

Dishonest shop. Went for an alignment and they gave the car back without the specs because "printer wasn't working", didn't even offer to show it on the computer screen. The receipt they gave also had the bare minimum information of the car - how can I trust that you did what you're supposed to do if you mess up the ENGINE SPECS that's LITERALLY on the back of the car. Called and asked for a photo of the alignment specs that should take seconds to pull up, and now it's been 30 minutes and they still aren't sending it. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

They sound very friendly over the phone but the over all work and work ethic these people into these vehicles is pathetic. I honestly only went because of the good reviews but now that I got an actual experience of their service. They definitely pick and choose who to give good service too. Note: mechanics will say they speak no english but understand and speak well. They just put on a thicker accent to make it seem like they don't know what ur talking about. I got my catalytic converters stolen back in October, and they worked with my insurance to fix it right up. Came in yesterday to get an oil change, and mentioned that there was a rattling noise ever since the new converter was installed. Jim and his crew figured out the source of the rattling and fixed it, no extra costs. I also had them check the car for other maintenance. Got my filters and a new belt, and the rate was very fair. My in-laws have been going here for years, they're SF/neighborhood natives so I trusted that this is a good spot prior to my visits. Pulled a cute little scam on me and I almost fell for it. He got my car running but told me that if it died in a couple days that meant I needed a new computer. He goes into my car and starts it in the day time and turned the dome light on so my car battery would die. Next time I go out to it the car is dead and I think I need the new computer like he said. I nearly towed it back to them right then and there. I tried jumping it and it started and then I see that the dome light had been on the whole time. It was no accident. I'd left the car there for 2 days. If it had been on the whole time it wouldn't have started for him. He turned it on while I was standing right outside the car, unable to see what he was doing. It was quick and easy. $59 which I'd gladly pay given that I didn't have to wait. I was in and out within 15-20 minutes.

Dishonest shop. I had an oil changed, but when I got home and check the oil dip stick reading was very low. Had to purchased a quart of oil and added more to get the right level. Also ordered a cooling system flush, but was not done correctly, the radiator was just drained and filled with coolant, it's obviously not flushed due to the present of rust. Lastly I also ordered a tire rotation, it was not rotated. I could tell because there was no hand marking on four wheels whatsoever, and the marking on the wheels that I made with felt tip still in the same location. All this works cost me $230.00 in a day. Came in around 1 pm on a Wednesday for an oil change today. The lot looked busy cause there were lots of cars but when Jim came up and spoke with me, turns out I just had to wait about 5 mins to get in. Once my car was in, they were done with my oil change in 15 minutes. There are 3 chairs inside the little store for you to sit and wait. Deducted a star cause after I paid (cause they said they were done with my oil change), I stood around for 5 minutes for them to hand me back my car. When I looked inside the garage, the hood was still open and two of the mechanics were sitting around eating lunch..... finally another mechanic saw me standing around and drove my car out for me. Oh, my oil change also costed me $27 for a 2001 Toyota Camry LE. Prices may vary depending on your vehicle. The sign outside said $23.88 but I think that's the starting price.. but still a good deal! Case in point, Jimmy and his guys replaced my front brakes 9 months ago. Lately the brakes were making some noises, so I brought my car in to look at. Came by after work to pick up my car. I was ready for bad news, and to fork up some dough. What I didn't expect was Jimmy telling me: your brakes pads were noisy, but still under warranty, so we took them off and will return them, and we replaced them with better pads, no charge. NO Charge! Best news ever! And I tested the brakes on the drive home, freaking perfect. And Jimmy is one of the nicest people I have come across.
