NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE! They left our plumbing lines disconnected, and LEFT OVER 100 GALLONS OF RAW SEWAGE UNDER OUR HOME!! That's right, 100+ gallons of feces (not even our own!) & debris dumped under our dream home. Apropos of the overall experience, but that's not even the start. (All caps for the TLDR crowd) If you're searching for a contractor, RUN AWAY from these clowns. If you've had recent work completed by NL Remodeling I am begging you to hire an independent inspection for your safety. They hire unlicensed workers to work on major systems, including plumbing & electrical, and are also unlicensed to do this work. They will not acknowledge the use of unlicensed workers because THEY STILL EMPLOY THESE GUYS! They are not victims, and this wasn't a one-off mistake. They know exactly what they're doing. We signed a contract with NL Development & Remodeling, Inc, LICENSE # 1109527, for whole-home remodeling services on 02/16/2025. We signed with OSHER ELUL, AKA MIKE, who is CEO / President of NL Development & Remodeling, Inc. His brother, GOVANNI ELUL, AKA BEN, acted as our project manager for the entirety of the job. They both presented themselves as licensed contractors. In fact, they are not. We've since learned the license holders associated with this company are ROMEO P LACUESTA - B (General Building), and PROSPER A KDOSHIM - C39 (Roofing). We never spoke with or saw either of them on our job at any time. We believe they're nothing more than an ostensible partnership. Our job site was never kept clean. There was never a dumpster, just a mountain of construction trash in our back yard blowing onto our neighbor's property. Communication was horrible, and we were constantly stood up for meetings. Their subcontractors never seemed to know what was going on or have clear direction. Mike and Ben were provided a set of detailed plans. After multiple small errors occurred that needed correction, Mike and Ben both separately admitted THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS! There was a total lack of oversight on our job. The UNLICENSED PLUMBER, VICTOR, that NL employed caused extensive damage we only discovered at the end of the project. He never completed the plumbing lines run under the house. Both showers, one sink, and the tub all drained straight to the ground below. One toilet and one sink were connected to the main line, but it terminated short also dumping to the ground under the house. This toilet was being used by the entire crew for 4 months, and all of that waste just piled under the house until it started to back up and compact into the pipe. The back up spilled out of the primary bathroom damaging our newly refinished hardwood floors. P-traps buried in the dirt, tub and washing machine drain lines were too small / not to code. We had to open the wall behind the washer to replace the drain line. We had unstrapped gas lines, and DOCUMENTED GAS LEAKS at appliance connections. Mike called us liars, refusing to even acknowledge these problems. We had to hire professional plumbers to repair and remediate. Check the pic of all the bags of feces & debris before they were hauled away! THE PLUMBERS WE HIRED SAID IN THEIR 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE THEY'D NEVER SEEN ANYTHING AS NEGLIGENT AS WHAT NL & VICTOR HAD DONE. The UNLICENSED ELECTRICIAN NL employed, MARCOS FELICE of GODFATHER ELECTRIC (check my other reviews), left wire and cable feeds laying directly on our roof causing a FIRE HAZARD, wires in attic missing junction covers, and left all wiring under the house loose and laying on the ground. We're missing GFCI outlets near sinks, we have loose and non-functioning outlets and overall shoddy workmanship. They DO NOT PAY THEIR SUBS & VENDORS even though NL was paid in full for the goods/services. I have multiple texts from various subcontractors stating they weren't paid. When confronted Mike would threaten to leave the job, call us liars, demand more money, promise to pay his subs, write checks to those subs then immediately withdraw funds so the checks would bounce (I have his admission in a text), and then tell the subcontractors to put liens on our property to collect. Hilariously, Marcos was one of those subs. Apparently, he's now been paid in full. Likely because Mike wants to use him on your job next! They LEFT OPEN HOLES IN OUR NEW ROOF. Our new gutters are angled improperly so they don't drain. Just great with the recent rains! Save yourselves the financial devastation and emotional stress. As of the date of this review, we are still remediating and repairing Mike & Ben's work. read more

NL should stand for Negligent and Liable. This company is dangerous and irresponsible. They cut major corners while purposefully using unlicensed subcontractors that endangered the property and caused major damage that had to be repaired by other companies. They also don't pay their workers and encouraged those same subs to put liens on the property after the fact even though NL was paid in full. We met Osher aka Mike and his brother Govanni aka Ben after taking multiple bids and they presented well enough. We had to do a lot of this remotely as we travel for work and Mike aka Osher assured us it wouldn't be an issue. There were promises of constant site visits, updates and photos. Within 2 weeks that all stopped. Osher never visited site and he would only send his brother who is not even under the company contractor's license. After a few months the niceties ended as Osher aka Mike stopped working on the house while continuing to demand money. We asked for oversight on his draw requests as they didn't reflect the work that was done or even the contracted amounts. Mike would threaten to quit the job entirely even though he had been paid in full for sections he hadn't completed (plumbing, electric, tile, HVAC, etc) . He used this tactic to extort money from us while work crept along at a snails pace. It was clear that NL is taking as many jobs as he can while moving money around to float their pockets and bringing in unqualified labor. When the subs did sporadically show, they would complain about Osher saying he never paid them and said that he said we'd pay them directly. Again, these were people we'd never met before asking for money for items we'd already paid Mike in full for. When it came time for appliance install and finishes, the real nightmare began. As usual, Osher was a no show so after weeks of waiting, I had to take matters into my own hands to get the house finished. I got movers to bring the heavy stuff in and a licensed / well rated plumbing crew (Lords of Plumbing) over for install. They were aghast at the hookups, pipes and connections under the house. The plumber that NL hired never hooked up any of the new plumbing he hung under the house. Every single drain line dumped onto the ground. There were gas leaks, improperly hung gas lines and worst of all, the brand new sewer line was never connected. For months the crew had been using the toilet while their waste dumped under the house. All of this has of course been thoroughly documented and recorded. 9 months after starting and much money later, NL has virtually disappeared. Osher only responds to demand money while still never taking responsibility. As of today's date I've paid his contract in full and then far more than that to finish the house. I still get NL's subs reaching out to me, inquiring about money that is unpaid. Osher tells them to come after me while refusing to show receipts or invoices. To this day I still have electrical wire spooled on top of my house and in the dirt underneath, my gutters are back pitched and don't drain, my working fireplace was painted with regular black spray paint, and the debris and trash scattered in my yard and under the house is never ending. (pics attached). Save yourself the heartache and likely future legal battle and run away from this company as fast as you can. If I can convince any of his present or past customers to inspect NLs work and go after them legally and bring them to justice, its worth it. If you look up NL's contractor license you will see that they are not even covered to bring on unlicensed subs. Plumbers , electricians, and other tradesmen doing large jobs are supposed to have their own licenses while under a class B contractor license. This means that all the work NL did on my house in that regard broke state law. Liars and thieves need to be had accountable and the scheming and gaslighting duo of Osher and Govanni will hopefully everything they deserve coming to them. read more

Dishonest and careless. What should have been a simple three-day paint job for a couple of rooms and ceilings turned into a month-long nightmare of damage control. They washed paint supplies in sinks, tubs, and toilets; sprayed paint into our vents and tried to cover it up; ruined our thermostat by spraying paint into the mechanism; broke a toilet seat and swapped it with a much cheaper model; damaged a ceiling fan blade, then attempted to hide that too. Paint and primer spatter all over the place. Sloppy, destructive, and deceptive. Avoid at all costs. You've been warned. read more

My roof needed a power wash and replace some broken tile. He had someone come for an inspection and started the job immediately and finished in two days.
