Cash only. I usually come here for the fried calamari, and that is always good. I also get the cold ginger chicken which is good. There was maybe one time that I called and they were actually out of cold ginger chicken. I can't really say much for the rest of the menu since I have my usual order. There are times that they do get busy, so some times when calling in an order, it can take a long time before they answer. Still quick with the service though when I say I'm on my way. So, ive pasted this place several times cruising down Waianae side, but never thought to stop and try the food here. Someone recommended this place to me so We took the long journey, about 20 miles+. I was told the mochiko chicken was good here, as well as the calamari. So thats what I ordered, as well as other items. i must say, its better to ask for fresh cooked food choices, worth the wait! I shouldve asked for fresh mochiko chicken. Other items we got was the egg fuyong, eggplant, mapo tofu, orange chicken and fried rice/chowmein. My favorites out of all the items were the eggplant, egg fuyong, and the calamari. The calamari is soft and tasty. I would order it again but in the large plate. Parking is plenty. No dine in. I would've given this a 2 star because if it wasn't for the other lady she still served me with a smile! Although the lady that was wearing Red and was cashiering on around 6p on 12/01/23 literally spoke to me with an aggravated tone and facial expression was to obvious that she was angry which was not soo professional. When I called to do a takeout, I could barely even hear them and made sure on my end I said small side twice but I guess she couldn't hear me on her end and said I agreed to small pan. At the point I didn't even want to proceed with my purchase because she was soo rude. I understand that it's food that could go to waste but that's not what I wanted. I still went through purchasing my 2 scoops of rice and small side salt pepper fish. But the other lady was so helpful and changed my order to a small side. Super Cheap Breakfast you can't go wrong here. Do try to get here early because the lines get very long in the morning especially on the weekends. Lots of parking if it is not too crowded. Hamburger Steak extra gravy awesome but had to pay extra for the Mac salad on the side cause cause I didn't want gravy on the Mac salad . One night I bought a large pan of hamburger steak & medium pan rice, I'd usually buy pans for camping nights. Rice was great. Hamburger steak was not at all good. My nieces/nephew & kids didn't even want to eat it. The hamburger: most was burnt, one sided type of burn + no flavor. The sauce tasted like nothing jus a little sauce w/ no flavor, kind of just flour/oil that's cooked. It wasn't good, we didn't eat it, had to throw it away since there was basically no flavor and burned. Yeah, it's the cheapest in town but you get what you pay for, abd apparently customer service isn't included in the price. My brother In law put in an order for us to pick up they told him It'd be ready by a specific time. When we got there to pick up our "order" they didn't even have it - they finally prepared (cooked everything) ONCE we told them we were there! We were there for a good half hour which defeats the entire purpose of ordering and paying in advance. We were supposed to literally pick up an order that was supposed to be ready AT THE TIME but that didn't happen, instead the order was treated as an afterthought, an, "Oh, ok yeah that's right you ordered! Let's do it now!" ‍ Total fail! Order at your discretion. Might as well just go down there and order at that moment because that's what you're probably going to have to do anyway. read more

The reason my kids and I make the drive out to the Makaha area, for the fried calamari. That's all we buy at this place. We literally roll up, park, and order a large side order of calamari which roughly comes out to a little over $10 and feeds four of us and there's still extras left. Small lot but most of it is come and go so I've never had a issue finding parking. The employees do their jobs with little customer interaction and communication but I don't think or feel that it's intentional. The place needs some cleaning and remodeling as far as atmosphere, and maybe redo their parking lot asphalt , but it won't kill anyone. The food is tasty. Two stars for the tasty fried rice, and easy parking, other menu were meh. I came here little bit after 1, and the place was empty with just two customers including myself. So the parking was easy. I walked in, I got greeted, but it lacked the hospitability and energy. I ordered 2 item place with fried rice, lemon chicken, and eggplant. Lemon chicken was ok, nothing very especial, and their eggplant is too basic. I have had tastier eggplant from nearby restaurant. I also ordered their infamous fried calamari. Not sure if my taste buds are different, but I didn't like the calamari. Only good thing about it is they were soft, if they got calamari in them. My order mostly had fried batter coat that was too oily. I am the type of person who does not waist food, but sadly I could not finish the fried calamari, which were mostly batter. I want to come back here again for their breakfast menu. I will never ever order their fried calamari. Also, I really wish they accept cards. Okay, okay, as many other Yelpers have stated, their customer service and the workers always yelling Chinese back and forth is really rude/poor service, but the food is actually very good. We've been there two times now; Easter Sunday when it was super busy and most of the prepared food for the combo plate lunches was already gone, then again last weekend. Even on the busy Easter day what we did order (Kung pao chicken and BBQ chicken) were both pretty good. Last weekend we had black pepper chicken and a combo of noodles with broccoli beef and beef with string beans. Both were really good although the chicken was a bit sweet. Both portions were ginormous -- easily enough for two people. So far, and we've tried a lot of Chinese, this is the best Chinese on O'ahu we've found. I went there for the salt and pepper fish and that one they always make fresh but I watched the lady pull it from the bottom of their counter , mind you there's a lot of flies I should've walked out to begin with .
