    Oooohhhh yeah. Home style breakfast!!!!
    Dan F.

NO Sweat.... As in, the cook is NOT in a hurry / stressed. He takes each order as he received, and cooks it to perfection. And that takes time. All the negative reviews are clearly coming from complete morons. If you are here on Yelp... Read the damn reviews. I found the restaurant this morning by reading reviews...and I learned and expected the following: Expect to WAIT a bit at this restaurant. Up to an hour or more. Bring CASH, they don't except cards. Seating is small, and Tight...... Pretty basic. Smarter folks can obligee. The weak minded and entitled adult children complain. Weird. FOOD: The food was delicious. Not the best in the world, but super good. Great portion sizes. I'm 6'3" 245# and when I'm hungover I want a BIG breakfast. I received that today. SERVICE: Happy with smiles and there when I needed. SEATING: Small and tight. As explained in several other reviews.. PRICE: On par with everyone else in town. I hope you took the time to read the entire review. Now you know what to expect!!

I am not a breakfast connoisseur by any means and yet, I always think of the No Sweat when I do have the hankering. There's nothing like pork sausage they get from some local hog farmer, it's best kept secret in. All of the entries are named after someone.their eggs are a huge treat. The Potatoes have been cooked and then cut up to fry crisp but not burned. Sausage is mixed up with potatoes and scallion and great cheddar cheese.great homemade orange juice. Coffee is a bit intense for me. How about 4.75 stars?? .

Awesome funky little breakfast spot. The food was delicious, service excellent, and the coffee was hot and kept topped up. Important to point out they don't take cash (it's 2024... get with the times!) but they do have an ATM machine on site if you aren't prepared. They also do warn you before you order. Would still recommend despite this questionable business decision.

I really liked this place. Everything was homemade and the staff was super nice. Great place to get some bottomless coffee and enjoy a breakfast or lunch. The only thing is that it isn't very big so it may be hard to find a table on a busy morning and not recommended at all for large groups. If youre solo, go for it!

Holy fuck. Pretty fucking good food. Organic shit and all that. Prices not too bad. Not sure why it's called no sweat -- I sweat my ass off in here. My balls were stuck to the side of my leg when I stood up. Other than that, this place was pretty fucking good.

    Amazing food!

Hands down amazing! The food was crazy ridiculous good. The service was high class top notch. I wanna eat here everyday. Loved the vibe, the people, the food. Hard to know which one was the best part. So good. Can't wait to come back!

Delicious, quaint, kind staff. I stopped in alone for a leisurely breakfast and was not disappointed. My server was kind enough to help me get the French Toast I wanted AND the eggs/hashbrowns without having too much food to handle. I sat in their little single booth "the confessional," it was so relaxing to just sip my coffee and munch my food. I'll be back for sure! Ps: they're still cash or check only, as other reviews have mentioned.

No Sweat Cafe is an eclectic diner, which is a part of what makes Helena so unique. The food is phenomenal here, everything is fresh and local when possible. You can tell the hash browns are grated in house, and aren't some frozen junk. The sausage is the star of the show for me. It packs a garlic punch, and holds just the right amount of fat that makes it savory, and not a greasy mess. I had the Ole Miss, which is a perfect mix of egg, feta, greens, and of course, I added sausage. It feels a bit lighter because it comes with short grain brown rice, delish!! My boyfriend had the Baker Lady's Special (BLS). Hash browns are incredibly crispy and topped with cheddar, sausage, green onion, and he added an egg over easy on top. The food here is everything you want for breakfast!! Because of the great quality, and the cozy size, No Sweat is a place to come to relax, as service moves at a leisurely pace. I would say the average wait is around 30-45 minutes, but trust me, it's worth the wait!! One more thing, there is limited space, so it might be hard to accommodate a group over four or five. Enjoy!! This place is a hidden treasure!!

She felt that was self-explanatory, so I took a chance & ordered it anyway. The second item I asked about was the Cafe Mocha, which is described as half coffee & half hot chocolate. Dawn repeated that to me; I went ahead & ordered it, because it's a nippy day outside, it sounded good, & Steve's prides itself on "whole bean Italian coffee". Dawn asked if I wanted whipped cream, & yes--that was the best part of this hot drink. It tasted like hot water with a bland chocolate flavor with no coffee flavor to be savored. Disappointment in a mug for $3.75. The Cafe Monte Cristo Sandwich looked promising when it arrived...but when I tasted it, the only thing which was flavorful was the bacon. The ham & turkey sliced deli meat was absolutely indistinguishable for any flavors of ham or turkey! ($14.95; scarcely any powdered sugar on the French Toast, either, which is a hallmark of a Monte Cristo...& no, it isn't deep-fried in any batter, but the French Toast is a clever substitution & departure from the original.) I ate half of it & boxed the other half...the French Toast was bland, too--very little flavor. My side item was something I always look forward to here, because so few restaurants serve onion rings anymore! These are a $2.00 up charge, & I told Dawn I like them on the light side, not too dark--& these came out close to being dark, & they must have sat in the grease, because they were tough on the outside...not the best onion rings by far. Disappointment again! I came here anticipating another great experience at Steve's Cafe, & it was completely disappointing until Alivia appeared: Alivia noticed I appeared to be waiting, & I was--because I saw on my check that the Cafe Mocha comes with ONE REFILL! Dawn never mentioned nor offered me a refill, but Alivia did--& yes, that's exactly how to spell her name, which is pronounced as "Olivia". Alivia gave me a to-go cup with a lid, & whipping cream & all, that excellent but of genuine "Customer Service" kept this review from being one star! Purely because of Alivia, I will return to Steve's Cafe the next time I'm in Helena, a 100+ miles from home! Thank you, Alivia, for saving the day for me: The next time, I'm asking for you as my server!

I ended up getting the three egg breakfast, with linked sausage, hash browns and a couple lemon ricotta pancakes. My friend got two eggs, the huckleberry French toast and pork linked sausage. First, let's start with the positive notes. The place was clean, there dining room was big with plenty of open tables, our server was super nice and we were seated right away, the food was good for the most part. My over medium eggs were perfectly done, my lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious but the entire experience was ruined when the server brought out the bottle of TABLE SYRUP instead of maple syrup! I realize this is a small business but I haven't eaten Mrs Butterworth syrup since I was like a child. Anyway, the pancakes were fluffy, delicious and perfectly done, the sausage however had a soft mildly off-putting texture and the hash browns seemed old and had no flavor. I would come here again but not for the hash browns or table syrup.

Pretty darn good…read more I'll caveat this with my coworker had some issues with his order, but they corrected it promptly so great service! The food comes out super fast, and it's as I mentioned pretty darn good I cannot complain! The po boy I got was tasty, and just enough food to keep me happy for the afternoon. This spot definitely rocks for lunch with it's speedy service and laid back atmosphere. The food itself, as I said it comes out fast! Like, questionably so but it wasn't bad so I can't complain haha. The one thing I didn't love is the cheese in my Po Boy got stuck to the wrapper it came out in so I lost a lot of cheese to the paper. Let's chat about ambiance fast, it's an interesting atmosphere very american but also very New Orleans at the same time. I like it but the walls are a smattering of different themes and ideas which makes for a somewhat incoherent atmosphere. Still, the music was at a good volume for conversation and for work. So yeah I'm happy!

Haven't been here for some time and decided to try them a second time. Had a cup of gumbo with a…read moresmall jambalaya. Generally most places will serve gumbo with a scoop of rice in the bowl but Zydeco just mixes it all in. The jambalaya was "just okay" and needed a boost of flavor and heat with some Crystal Louisiana hot sauce. Overall, not bad but I have had better. Oh , and about the beignets - come on folks! These are just deep fried squares or lumps of flour drizzled or dusted (or, here, drowned) with powder sugar. (Warning: Don't wear dark clothing, don't breathe or blow air on your beignet if they are still hot because, if you do, everyone will know know what you had for dessert!). The "service" was "just okay". Now you go up to the counter and order first. Get your own table and cleanup by taking dishes over to a tub when you're done eating. That's fine, not hard. But why pay a big tip for little to no customer "service?" As noted in other reviews I have asked: How does one gauge a tip when you order first at a counter, pay, find your own seating, get the food, and then expected to bus your own table? Under these circumstances, I'll tip 15% up front If I'm expected to pay first. I can always provide an extra tip for "extra" ordinary service and/or food before I leave. While I like the patriotic theme - and as observed the last time I was here - the place is a little outdated and could use a facelift.
