I've had male nail technicians the last two times I visited, and unfortunately both experiences were disappointing. I came in with short nails, so the service should have been simple, just shaping and a basic dip manicure. Instead, the appointment took almost two hours, and my nails were filed down so much that they now look like stubs. The shape is uneven, and the color application is inconsistent. The woman who appears to be the owner came over to help, and it was clear even she could see they looked bad. When I checked out and explained my concerns, the only resolution offered was 10% off a future visit, which felt inadequate given the outcome. Based on my experience, I would not recommend allowing the male technicians to work on your nails. read more

One of my nails are lifting I just was there last night ..this nail salon is ok if you're looking for something last minute but I won't return ..when getting a pedicure I explained she cut one of my toenails slanted and not straight and she made up an use that the nail was broken which it wasn't .. I asked for a cut down and the nail was cut slanted ..mediocre pedicure.. then moving on to my nails instead of using a tool of some sort to push my cuticles back the nail tech was using her long finger nails .which is very unsanitary the skin around my nails was burning afterwards because her nail may have scratched the skin.. overall the people are really nice but the work isn't clean ! I had polish on my skin around the nails and pieces of my skin was still around my nails again the work isn't so clean ... just awful I won't return read more

My sister & I religiously go only to this Nail Salon. I've been to many salons & I will only ever go here. Always recommend making an appointment to get the best service ( if you're on a time frame or need it done that day ). If you're somewhat picky on how your shape turns out, don't freight. They are consistent & every time I come they are spot on. Today when we visited, they were short staffed but assured us they would help us soon. When they did they went above & beyond, didn't skip any importance or were rushed. Even stayed an hour after closing to help us. Love NOA & will always be a loyal customer. read more

I am visiting from out of town and stopped by to get an acrylic fullset. the only reason this place even got a star is because it looks nice in there & the staff was friendly. i asked for square white french tip just like the picture. as well as a polish change on two toes. the lady on my feet did ok, wasn't the best but it'll do. i had two ladies working on my hands simultaneously which i thought might be effective but halfway through the service i stopped them. my nails were fat, crooked, uneven, and poorly shaped. i asked for square and i got coffin. you could definitely tell two different people did my nails. when i stopped them they were already using the drill around my cuticles meaning they were almost finished with the foundation. one of the ladies then tried to say that they weren't done and they had more filing to do which i explained would then not be the length i asked for. she offered to soak them off and have her try again to which i declined. when placing my hands together to compare them she told me they looked the same & they looked good which turned me off so i thanked them for their services, paid for the work they did do and left. long story short, do not get your acrylic nails done here! the first picture is what i showed them, the rest is what i walked out with smh. read more

I came for the first time for a dip manicure. I had heard positive things from friends and appreciated the well decorated atmosphere and Covid precautions in place such as glass shields separating employees and customers. I paid 5 dollars extra for a manicure with my dip but did not receive a hot towel, lotion massage on hands etc. typically included with a manicure. My cuticles were badly cut when my dip powder was being sanded down at least three nails have noticeable blood and cuts in cuticle area which detracts from my nails. I realized that I was not asked what shape I wanted my nails or if I wanted a dip extension as my nails were very short. Disappointed and will not be back in. read more

Some unfair reviews on here I feel. I went to Noa on a whim one Saturday to get pedicures with my boyfriend. There was no wait time and they were extremely attentive. We both real lay enjoyed the experience and they did a great job with fair prices. Basic pedicure is $26 and still came with everything you'd expect. Close and convenient for us as well. I went into get my acrylic taken off only for them to leave my nails soaking in acetone in a bowl over a heating surface for 30 minutes. Do not have your nails done here, they will put super glue in your nail beds and argue with you after you ask to have them taken off due to pain. They will be condescending and rude about it while speaking to one another in their own language. We came to Charlotte for our daughter to have surgery. So, I wanted to treat her to a manicure and pedicure and getting her eyebrows waxed. We ended up spending $300 for nails that hurt and fell apart the by the end of the day and most disturbing was that they burnt her skin off her lids. When she had surgery the next day, the nurses actually treated the burns while she had surgery because it was so bad. It was awful. When I told the staff as I was paying, they apologized but I still paid $300 for.oyr services. Nothing was offered at all to anywhere near right the wrong and harm that they had caused. We will never trust them with our business or suggest them to anyone else. read more

I used to love coming here. The service has gone downhill. Even when you make appointments, you will wait 15-20 minutes. If it was COVID related I would completely understand. Instead we've had multiple situations where the staff is talking about something and stopping all work to talk. My husband and I both go and both get the same pedicure, but they won't give him his own punch card, which is so weird. I'll give them credit that they are practicing social distancing, wearing masks, and enforcing reduced clients. This was my 4th attempt, and my polish chipped in 2 days. I want to support local and they're so close to my home, so it's a shame I'll probably be going elsewhere going forward. read more

This nail bar is new, beautiful and within walking distance from my house. I know that doesn't apply for everyone but it's a perk for me! The staff was super friendly and my pedicure was relaxing and enjoyable. The owner, Danny was working too and he was fun to talk to. There's a parking lot and it's right next to Starbucks, chipotle and Panera so you can grab some noms after you treat yourself. Bonus - adult drinks are included with your service and they service mimosas on certain days. Four stars because my big toe polish on both feet started chipping the night I got them done and the filing job was a little jagged. Otherwise, great nail salon. read more

I NEVER do reviews but I have to tell everyone to not come here. Both my sister and I had a horrible experience. It was a busy day yesterday which is typical. We both came in and requested a manicure and pedicure. They sat us down after 5 minutes or so. A woman started on me first while my sister waited. During my pedicure, the woman scrubbed my heals so hard she actually created open wounds on both of my heels. I am furious because I am a type 1 diabetic and it is very easy for me to get an infection especially through my feet. My sister got the SNS manicure and the manicure was a very poor job. There was color all over her fingers . The lady also was being rough and filing her skin so hard that my sister was yelping with pain. I paid in full and still tipped but will NEVER come back! read more

I have been getting my nails done here for the last 5 months and everything has been good until today. I was in the salon from 12:30 until 2:45 for something I thought wouldn't be hard especially since I shared a picture of the Ombre nails (pink and white). The young lady that helped me was new and clearly didn't know how to do it. Halfway through the process I shared that the nails were too thick, nothing was done. When the left hand was completed, I shared again that the nails were too thick and too white, showed the picture of the look I was going for and asked she could fix it. It was as if I said nothing, she spoke to another technician who tried to convince me that the picture was different but the nails look great... By the time the right hand was complete it looked worse, I asked for them to do it over and again I was ignored. When asked how I felt about the nails I told them they were not what I wanted, they are thick as though I may have attempted acrylic nails at home myself. I was offered $10 off of a $50 service which is slap in the face, because they knew my nails looked terrible. I now have to go elsewhere to fix the mess they made on my hands. Its one thing to make a mistake and be willing to rectify it as I did not ask for anything free and then its another to just let a very unhappy customer walk out of the door. I love this nail place! Full disclosure it is at a very convenient location for me which helps a lot. All of the stuff are super friendly and accommodating. Even if I have to wait 5 minutes, they sincerely apologize for the wait. However, I don't usually have to wait that long to be seen. They always do a good and thorough job in my SNS nails. I usually only "have to" get them done again because my nails have gotten too long for my taste not that the polish wears off as it lasts a very long time even for me who is rough on my nails :) read more

I'm so torn. I want to give Danny, who did my first manicure at NOA, five stars. Ten stars! He did an excellent job. His perfect gel job looked beautiful & lasted for two weeks, at which point the only issue was the growth of my nails. The quick polish job he did on my toes that same visit is still going strong! AND he's an absolute pleasure to chat with--and that's coming from a dyed-in-the-wool introvert who generally dreads that part of these rituals. I'd go back to see Danny any day! But... today I decided to use my lunch hour for another gel manicure. Danny helped me at first, and since I'd let them know I had limited time, suggested a simple polish change which could be done in 30 mins. Fine by me! Sadly, as soon as he was done removing my old gel, he introduced a young girl (whose name I wish I could remember) who he said would be doing the polish because it was "her turn" and assured me she'd do as great a job as he did. AU CONTRAIRE! She was nice enough, but clearly had NO idea what she was doing. About 1/3 of the way through, she made some sort of mistake on a pinkie nail which I didn't even see before she started stripping that nail again, which was fine... right up to the point where she filed my actual finger until it bled. Before the top coat, she asked if I thought I needed one more coat of color. At that point I was able to do some inspecting, and noticed that one thumb nail had a bubble and a really strange, noticeable ridge in it. I asked her to fix that and she started filing the nail edge (?). I showed her the very obvious weirdness a second and third time and she still seemed not to even see a problem, but made a lame attempt to fix it anyway (it's not as bad now as it was, but it's still weird). I also noticed a little piece of dust or fuzz on the end of one nail and pointed it out to her before it was too late to fix without redoing the nail, and she again acted as if she didn't see it or know what the problem was before finally removing it after I showed her the third time. All of this took a full hour, at which point I had realized that this wasn't something I was happy to pay for but had no time to deal with it as I needed to get back to work. (And just in case it sounds like I was dissatisfied from the outset or harshly critiquing her every move, I was not. I was very kind and laid-back about the 2 whole things I asked her to correct, one of which I only noticed after she asked.) After I left, I saw that this manicure is actually AWFUL. The polish is so far from the cuticles on most nails that it looks like it's already grown out for a week. Maybe 4/10 look smooth/even without weird divets and ridges in the polish, which is so oddly thick on a few edges that it looks like my nail must have some kind of bulge. Her haphazard filing job at the very end left my nails bizarrely shaped and about as smooth as serrated knives. So, SO bad, y'all. So disappointing. As far as I know, only this one person at NOA has no business polishing nails, but I've only had experience with two. I'd go back, but only if I can get Danny. read more
