Extremely disappointed with customer service, coming from a previously loyal customer over the last 2 years. I had a less than desirable experience getting an acrylic full set and expressed my dissatisfaction with the shape, polish, and length to the front desk staff. Was given $10 off of my service when my nails looked the worst they have ever looked (pictures attached). I was willing to go back another time with a different tech and was told I was unable to request anyone ahead of time for any day between Friday and Sunday. I expressed that they would be losing my business and they did not seem to care even though they are familiar with me as a customer of 2+ years. So I have gone to this nail salon a few times and I will say, I'm at a 50/50 as to how it turns out. However, given my last nail appointment I would say it's just not worth it. I get dip which can typically last me 3-4 weeks minimum. I got a dip French manicure 10 days ago and 4 of my nails have already broken. I went in 1 week from my appointment date with two nails broken and was charged to have them fixed but given it was the thanksgiving and I was going home I was kind of at a loss. Overall just really inconsistent and to have to almost half my nails break within a week of getting them done, it was a waste of money. read more

We have all been in quarantine and I was skeptical about going in the salons, but trust me when I say this nail bar was on top of their game. Mask have to be worn at all times and if you don't have one you can purchase one at the front desk as soon as you enter. I noticed that they cleaned each seat and work station after each client left. They sprayed and wiped down everything numerous times while I was there. My nail tech Oak is the Truth! Literally guys! She completed my spa pedicure, full gel set, and waxed my eyebrows. I've been disappointed here the last few times i've gone and maybe it's because I've been seeing different nail techs than my usual. Oak is such a great and detail oriented tech but if you can't get her I would probably skip coming here. Appointments typically don't start on time (not a big deal for me I'm indecisive picking a color anyways). I got and SNS color and it was complete in less than 30 minutes (no manicure, i did not want one) but the whole process seemed rushed as other got frustrated with not being seen. My skin around my nails was cut as she was moving so quickly and I was left with rough and bumpy nails. They have a great selection of colors but I just can't justify coming back for now. read more

Great second location for sassy! If you have read my review on the original location, you know I love this nail bar. I do think they are one of the best places in Charlotte, if not the best. I called the original location at Morehead and they were busy. I just noticed while driving by that they had a location in the Dilworth area. Not far from the original. It's less known about, so the wait time is less. I called ahead and they were able to accommodate me right when I walked in. A technician was very kind and did a great job. The manager was also very kind and was keeping things well organized. I will be back at either location, but this was a nice change. read more

Sassy is the only nail salon that I will go to for my gel polishes. I have been here twice already. I like the new location because it is not as crowded yet and there are more times I can get in and out quicker. The first time I went, I wasn't happy with how they did my polish. It did not stay on very long and I was pretty disappointed. However, they did take care of the mistake. I've learned to just ask for 3 coats vs 2. It just holds up better in my opinion. The space is so beautiful! I love the music they play. I can't wait to come back here and get a pedicure. The chairs look super comfy and relaxing! They are very organized and neat. In Charlotte visiting my sister-in-law and we visited Sassy for a classic mani/pedi date mid-afternoon. We went at the perfect time, wasn't crowded yet and could take in the ambiance. This nail bar is super edgy, modern furniture and design, floating shelves with nail polishes, and a wide array of drink options. I love their pedicure chairs, they even get your butt haha I ended up ordering the Sassy pedicure, that actually turned into a Basic. My nail tech was so funny, we spent the entire time talking we forget about all the frills lol I loved the women Shirley and ugh I forgot her name! They were so real, we talked about everything under the sun. My nails, SNS, came out perfect, same with my toes. My nails aren't smooth, the corners of them will cut open skin, the fingers look different, and they left parts of my nail shiny when they were supposed to be matte. Brand new location to East Blvd, very bright and white & clean! Opened 3 week ago! You can park in the parking garage, which is located right behind the salon. There are 3 ways to get in and out of the garage. One on East Blvd, one on Scott Ave, and one on Kenilworth Ave. Good location! They have a sign in sheet right when you walk in, on the left side. There are 14 massage chairs for pedis and 10 spots at the bar for nails. All the polish color options are in the middle, and there's a good amount of choices. They do have complimentary drinks: cocktails (margs and such), mimosas, and water etc. I tried the Strawberry Margarita, comes in a small cup. Not bad! I came on a Tuesday like 3:45, they have 5 techs here. Only a few minutes wait, though I was the 4th person here. Clean as in they line the pedi bowl, use gloves. "The Basic Pedicure" $28. I got a good little massage, and happy with how my pedi went. No rewards system as far as I can tell. In and out for the basic pedi in 40ish minutes. I will be back! read more

Not sure why they don't have a higher rating, but I had a great experience here. They were running a bit behind but made a point to update me and apologize for the delay, but aside from that, this was literally THE best dip nail I've EVER had! And that's even in Florida. Oak did a phenomenal job and was super sweet. I'm someone who when my nail tech does my nails beyond my expectations, I stick with them! I got charged $5 for a matte top coat. Now, when switching a regular top coat (which is much stronger anyway) for a matte top coat, it should be an even trade. I didn't ADD a matte coat to the original top coat. Also, the SNS only lasted 8 days. I've had 3 nails bust in half. I paid $75 for nails that lasted 8 days. This is actually the second time my nails didn't last from this salon. I will never ever be back and you should save your money. Also...for the owners..the chairs are entirely too high for the counter top. My legs were smashed in the chair and I was hunched over for the hour I was getting my nails done. I am rating Sassy Nail between a 3 and a 4 but we will go with 4 stars. My husband and I came in for pedicures and I also got a gel manicure. Pros: We called ahead for appointments and were seated right away. The salon is new and clean with beautiful decor. Color selection is very broad for both regular polish, gel and powdered colors. It was not crowded and our services were performed quickly. He enjoyed his Sassy pedicure ($38 - prices were recently raised) and I think he got much more for the extra $8 than I did for my Basic pedicure ($30). Free 2 hour parking in the garage nearby. Cons: My tech was rough taking off my gel polish and doing my new color. I asked about the difference between gel, acrylic overlay and powder mani prices and it seemed like my tech wanted to upsell me from $35 to $50. Nowhere have I gotten an acrylic set for $50. Also, I switched from a Sassy pedicure to a Basic pedicure because I was wearing the wrong pants to pull up to my knees. It would defeat the purpose of the scrub and massage to only do my ankles. The tech seemed annoyed that I didn't want the higher priced service. Overall, with tip, we spent $123 for two pedicures and a gel mani. read more

Went in to get one acrylic nail fixed and waited about 30 minutes before anyone began working on it. Many people were helped before me even though I came in before them. A simple nail fix took an additional 20 minutes and after being told I was in a time crunch they still took their time, tending to other customers needs before my own. Ultimately left before the nail could even be painted. After telling them I was not pleased with my service they were gracious enough to not charge me (but also would have charged me $5 for what ended up being a simple fix). Overall, my expectation was to have a quick nail fix but instead felt passed over for other customers. -Will not be returning. read more

Probably a good place if you're a regular. It was clear I wasn't. Typical Charlotte exclusivity. I did a walk-in pedi, so I was patient that I may need to wait. HOWEVER- My tech kept getting pulled away to assist other guests, while literally everyone else in the place had nonstop attention, many with two techs at once doing nails and toes. I was left for 15 minutes soaking in cold water. Everyone else got their drinks refilled multiple times, check in, etc. so I really felt like an outsider. FYI I have actually done nails for many years so I understand the logistics of a salon. Mediocre callous treatment and poor polish job as well. The only nice thing was the foot massage, which was very enjoyable and really the only thing that seemed like full effort was put into. Won't be back. read more

Disappointed with my basic pedicure and manicure. Nail tech was more interested in what was going on around her than my feet. HOW do you file nails without looking at them? Barely clipped my cuticles and did not clean under my nails for either service. I have not been to a nail salon since before the pandemic and it was really disappointing that the nail tech rushed through the service, skipped parts of the service and in general was just too busy to get to the next client to give me a quality, fullfilling service I was paying for. A different technician threw someone's used drink cup in my foot bath area during my pedicure and was joking about it. This is beyond disgusting, unsanitary and unprofessional. One girl walked in just one second ahead of me and asked for three seats together for pedicures. I pick a color and am given a seat. First there was a hair on the chair which is gross. I sit down and am promptly ignored for the next 15 minutes, no one even put water in the bowl. During these 15 minutes one person with the girl that came in before me gets a technician and gets started on his pedicure. Typically, I am not one to write/share a review. However, I am disappointed. I showed my nail technician the attached photo and asked for a gel manicure instead of acrylic- no issue. We finished my pedicure and walked over to the manicure bar. My nail technician asked for me to pull up the attached photo and she showed it to the owner/ head receptionist. The owner replied "$20 extra for this style". This almost doubles the cost of the manicure?! I insisted they tell me why a 2 color, gel, "French tip" nail would cost $20 extra. With which they replied "the V shape and 2 colors...it takes longer". I understand a French tip typically costs $5 more - which I can swallow. But $15 dollars for 2 different colors is absolutely ludicrous.
