I'm at a loss. My bearded dragon wasn't eating and i could tell I need to get help. Before the vet he still had somewhat energy and normal behavior. After the vet a different story. The doctor took my dragon to another room to check him out. (Big mistake on my part) I should have kept him in my sight so I blame myself as well. After the doctor returns I could immediately tell something happened and even ask the nurse what the doctor did. My dragon was suddenly twitch and extremely weak as soon as it came back. They gave me some antibiotics and said to give it to him once daily for an infection? Literally as soon as i got home he had a seizure! I have been going to this clinic for 10 years (I had 3 dogs and 2 cats). Yesterday I had to put down my 10 year old Sheltie, Clio who was diagnosed with cancer in November. We took our dog, Mollie, here to get a second opinion on a diagnosis she received earlier in the year. We were greeted promptly right when we walked in and were taken back to a room almost immediately. Dr. Pearson was incredibly personable and kind and listened to all of our concerns! This place is awesome! I am not local but I was driving through Amarillo with my dogs and one of them ate something suspicious in a parking lot. (Possibly drugs.) I rushed over to Noah's Ark Pet Hospital. The doctor was at lunch and he rushed back early for us. The doctor induced vomiting and my dog was totally fine. Everyone was so kind and wonderful. I will never trust these people with one of my beloved pets again. We took our dogs to Noah's Ark for over ten years, mostly because the dogs were comfortable there and it was easier to stick with the same vet, despite the ridiculous prices. Never again. Both of our dogs got cancer in their last years, and Noah's Ark was more interested in making money off of redundant and unnecessary tests and medication than actually helping our dogs. The first dog was put to sleep at Noah's Ark over a year ago, after we finally told them, no more tests, we know he's dying and he's suffering. It was a terrible experience. He reacted badly to the injections and was gasping and fighting until it was over. The second dog was sick for a long time, though up until a week ago it was manageable and she was happy. A year ago, after we lost the first dog, we had her tested to find that she did in fact have some kind of cancer, though we didn't know how widespread it was. Thursday she stopped eating. Her head began to tilt to one side and she couldn't walk straight. She was falling over. Friday she ate a little chicken when we fed her by hand, but she was still falling. Saturday, we were ready to say goodbye and prevent her suffering from getting worse. She was sick, it was widespread, and we couldn't cure her. Ten and a half years is a very good life for a Boxer. Noah's Ark took her back to do blood testing, even though I didn't ask for it. The male vet himself didn't come in to talk to me until later, after the testing was done. He came in the room with three people in tow (making at least 5 people in that tiny exam room!). The three people, assistants most likely, just stood against the wall by the door. The vet handed me antibiotics and pain medication and told me she probably had an infection in her gut. I couldn't believe it. He didn't even seem to be looking at my dog and seeing how bad it was. He didn't seem at all concerned by the fact that she was falling over. I asked about it and he offhandedly said she probably had a pituitary tumor, but I could bring her back in a week to do more extensive testing. That wasn't what I wanted. My dog, who I had loved for ten years, was sitting in front of me dying, and the vet wanted to run more tests. We didn't need those tests. He'd run them already, a year ago. He didn't even give me a chance to ask about letting her go before she got even worse. The medicine in hand, I was practically ushered out of the exam room and then charged over $300. I was in shock. I knew better, I knew she was dying, I knew it was a mistake to try to give her medicine when her illness had no cure. But the vet had just made it very clear that I was to leave and return in a week to spend more money on more tests. But I could see that she might not even last a week, and if she did, she'd be starving and in pain, unable to walk on her own. It is not right for a pet owner to go to extreme efforts to give themselves a few more days or weeks with a pet. Sometimes, the very best thing, the right thing, the caring, loving thing to do is to let them go and end their suffering. They don't understand why they hurt and why we don't make them better. Tests and tests do nothing in the end. That was Saturday. On Sunday, it was like she couldn't even see where she was going. We had to load her up in the car after 9:00 PM and take her to the Small Animal Emergency Clinic, because we knew it was time - past time - to let her go. Noah's Ark believes in making money by putting bandaids on bullet wounds, and I hope every patient of theirs becomes aware of this. They claimed to care about our girl, they doted on her and talked about how much they loved her and our male dog too before he passed. But they didn't care. That man (for whom I have several more appropriate but less savory names for) didn't give a damn about my dog's suffering. He didn't even ask how I was doing or what I wanted to do. He put expensive medicine in my hands and made it clear I was to leave. Less than 32 hours later my dog was dead. read more

My dog had stitches that needed to be removed, but I was unable to get to my regular vet. I called Noah's Ark because it was close to my house and explained my situation. The lady I talked to was so pleasant and said they could remove them for me. When we walked in we were promptly greeted and they immediately took my dog back. In no time they were finished. They told me there was no charge. I was so pleased with them getting us in on such short notice. Everyone was so kind and I will definitely visit them again! read more

Great Vets and staff! I have used Dr. Merten Pierson since he first started at PetSmart. He has taken care of 2 of my dogs. My first Maltese got diabetes when he was about 10-11 years old. Dr. Tiffany Olsen is Dr. Pierson's wife and she is an awesome vet also. They both helped me take care of my dog when he got older. They taught me how to give him his injections of insulin and how to balance his diet. He lived 2 more years and was not in pain and was a happy boy. I called them when I knew it was getting close to his time, and they gave me their cell phone to call if he had trouble that night. I had an appointment to bring him in the next day, for them to put him to sleep. My dog passed away that night. They were so kind and even sent me a small flower arrangement to comfort me with a card saying how sorry they were. I have another Maltese now who is 7 years old, and the Doctors and their techs and all of the staff have always been good with him and with me. They are caring and very helpful. They always talk to me about what I want them to do. With my small Maltese, I know the blood work is usually necessary to see what is going on with them. Mine are small dogs and they have to be dealt with quickly when they become ill. The staff has always worked me in when I really needed to bring my dog in. read more
