The gentleman that came out to measure was on time, very courteous and got it measured quickly and accurately so I could go and do what I needed to do that day! Scheduling installation was a breeze, we got scheduled much quicker than I expected! Nick and another gentleman came out to lay our carpet over the course of two different days. I cannot say enough good things about them! They are truly experts at what they do! They got our old carpet ripped up in lightening speed, new carpet laid precisely, cleaned up, very respectful of our house (left no messes, were very cautious of our walls and our furniture!) and just very nice! There was a floorz truck next to me on the left side. As we get close to the stop sign he speeds up and pulls in front of me so that he could be in the Straight lane instead of the left turn lane. Absolutely no reason to cut me off. Turns out where both pulling into home depot. And on the corner of the plaza there is the floor material company with the same name as what's on this truck. I will never shop there. There was no one around, no 1 else on the road, absolutely no reason to speed up and cut me off. Other than hes a jerk. Don't buy from this company. People show their true colours when they think no one is watching.

I've hired Chris and Kyle to do so many projects for me, each project more intricate and better results than the last which is why I keep coming back. They can do it all!!!!! 1st: Basement carpet and drop ceiling tear out and paint. 2nd: Drywall tear out, gas and water lines set back into the wall, new plumbing in the ceiling leading outside at two points and to an upstairs sink, electrical lines reran and outlets placed elsewhere. 3rd: kitchen backsplash tear out and re-tiled as well as new dishwasher install. 4th: 2600 sq ft of old laminate and vinyl flooring removed, floors leveled, and 2600 sq ft of new luxury vinyl plank laid AND every inch of trim in house torn out and replaced - baseboard trim and door trim. I'm currently on their books for a 5th project - custom built in bookshelves around my fireplace. The Magicians of Home Repair: How Alexander Contracting Saved Our 30-Year-Old Home…read more I don't even know how to share the stellar, stellar experience I had with Alexander Contracting in a way that will even remotely do them justice. I suppose I'll start at the very beginning. Our residence was severely impacted by the crazy winter weather. Due to the cold and snow, we had an ice dam. Up until this point, we were very fortunate to not need major house repairs. The residence is over thirty years old and for the most part has been well kept. That changed when the ice storms hit. The inside of our home became an Ohio version of Niagara Falls which had me getting rather impressive cardio running back and forth with pots, buckets and towels in vain. It was literally trying to catch a waterfall pouring into our home. The ceiling cracked open, the walls were suddenly cracking, the baseboards in numerous rooms throughout the house. it had the look of Pre-Armageddon. Once the mitigation finished removing the damage and drying everything up, there were holes everywhere, missing baseboard pieces, it basically resembled a crack house. At this point, I began doing homework. People warned me to be very leery with who I let into the home, the trustworthiness of the repair crew, jobs being started and then left in the middle. I've seen enough Rob Wolchek to know this was a problem. Added to that, there are vulnerable people in the residence, so I was admittedly freaked out. One of the first listings for contractors I came across after a Google search was Alexander Contracting. They had nearly all 5 star reviews on Google and Thumbtack so I gave them a call. I spoke with Paul and he said he would come and assess what needed to be done. Within minutes of meeting Paul, I calmed down instantly. Not only did he take the time to patiently answer the 20,000 questions I peppered him with, but he was very honest and explanatory giving me advice on what to do even if we decided not to use his company. As in, he had no skin in the game but was giving us advice as people very new to this process just to help us out even if we didn't use him. In the end, we went with Alexander Contracting and boy oh boy oh boy was that the best decision ever. They began doing work immediately. The two men who did the majority of the work, Sasha and Vasili were INCREDIBLE. They never stopped working. It was like watching Boxer from the book Animal Farm. We begged them to take food, drink and that it was okay to use the bathroom lol. Despite not having the leftover baseboards from the mitigation crew, they somehow like the magicians that they are, Paul found perfect replacements. The fellows fixed all the holes and cracks and got the paint colors down beautifully. Don't even get me started on the ceiling design. Our ceiling has a décor that's over thirty years old. These fellows were able to recreate the ceiling pattern PERFECTLY. Are they construction guys? Are they artists? You be the judge. Some of the wallpaper due to the repairs needed to be replaced. We had nooo idea what to look for and there was no chance in hell wallpaper from over 30 years ago would be found. Alexander Contracting did everything! They found STUNNING wallpaper for us to complement the home and we couldn't be happier. Walking through the home now, you not only wouldn't know there was a ginormous leak, but the work they did beautified our awesome place even more. They are truly the 'invisible' pros. They treated our home with such care, keeping their staging area in the garage tidy and cleaning up after themselves so thoroughly that the only evidence of their presence was the beautiful repairs they left behind. Thank you Sasha and Vasili for the incredible job you did in our home, the perfection and detail you put into the crazy long hours you spent repairing our home barely taking a break. Thank you Fady for being so kind, patient and reassuring to me and my family and last but not least to Paul.
