First it was measured wrong, then it came from two different rolls, then it had large sections of striped hard patches, then they sent someone to steam it. All the while the CUSTOMER had to keep repeatedly following after the continued mistakes on their part. ZERO communication and we're completely indifferent. The final slap in the face a $50 gift card. THE WORST

My wife and I are big on supporting local businesses. We went to Bob & Pete's and explained we…read moredidn't want to have to constantly deal with cleaning dirty grout. We were told and sold an "epoxy grout" product that "would never shrink, discolor, or have to be dealt with" The person explained it was non-porous like caulk. I researched epoxy grout and it's wonderful reviews. We purchased over $8,000 worth of tile and grout to be installed in our kitchen, half bath, hallway, and laundry room. I personally sealed every inch of grout after the installation per the installers instructions. Less than a year after the install the grout began to brown. I reached out to Bob and Petes to inquire and Bob was nice enough to come by and explain he "couldn't go back in time" and we didn't have epoxy grout installed. He recommended I pay to have it professionally cleaned which I did for $300 after two years installed. The local cleaners couldn't restore the original color or lighten the current and said they would not take my money again next year. We are not facing a $15,000 bill to have the floors and grout removed and done correctly with the product we wanted and were sold originally. Before the floors can be re-done, all of my (freshly installed) quarter round and trim must be removed, toilet, sink, dishwasher, fridge, stove, washer & dryer. Last time I spoke with Bob he said he spoke to the employee and they said they never said anything to us about such a product so apparently my wife and I imagined those details and specific information before spending thousands of dollars at their business. He then said "I needed to adjust my expectations when it comes to grout" For the record, my expectations were set by the Bob & Petes employee who said the following "would never shrink, discolor, or have to be dealt with" They are supposed to be the knowledgable flooring professional, not me. Beyond disappointed and we will support knowledgeable businesses who value customer service before we support local in the future.

That issue was taken care of pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the problems appeared again only worse. My parents stopped in again, expressing their concerns, a couple of times. The carpet is now showing wear marks, in doorways, around the beds. I stopped in with photos, unfortunately, those don't work either. There is date for stretching the carpet again, but that's not going to help the wearing look, or the seams. All the furniture is going to have to be removed, there is something wrong with this piece of carpet. It's obvious, because of the wear paths. Telling my parents to get it steam cleaned then bring them the bill to turn it into a claim.

However, by the time of the install, they discovered they had incorrect measurements (obviously their mistake) and couldn't finish the job. The biggest issue, for us, is this was also the day before we were throwing a large gathering at our home.. which now has unfinished floors. When i spoke to the manager Joel, he offered a $100.00 discount and little else (not sure if he even apologized for the MAJOR inconvenience. When i told him his customer service and minuscule discount was subpar, he informed me that he "didn't have to compensate at all and I could find that clause on the back of the invoice". Needless to say, I'll NEVER do business with this company again! Sad because I'm a strong advocate for small business... and ususal they have the best customer service. Unfortunately, this concept does NOT ring true for Carepttime in Perry.

Once called, techs arrived within a few hours, pulled carpeting away from walls and placed fans to dry the areas. Speedy, follow up to check progress as promised and the fans were removed when the floor and carpeting were dry. I received a call from Brahler's a week or two ago, reminding me of their work described above and saying they are available for carpet cleaning as well as restoration. I'd been thinking of having carpet and upholstered furniture cleaned, and their call was the incentive to do it now. If I could rate the company above a 5-star, I would. Before the appointment, lamps, end tables, coffee table, and other items that could be taken from the carpeted rooms were removed. The two-person crew called when they left their prior appointment and arrived at my condo at the appointed time. I reviewed with the lead tech what I wanted, answered a few questions to confirm all tasks, and specifically pointed out two *old* stains that previous cleaning companies had failed to remove. Then I got out of the way. Three and a half hours later, they were done. The lead tech said the upholstery would dry quickly, but the carpeting could take 12 to 24 hours. This morning, 16 hours later, I found the upholstery and carpeting dry. Those two stains I pointed out are gone! The furniture and carpeting are 12 years old and it all looks new, refreshed. I am over the moon happy with the results and the professional handling of my carpet and upholstery cleaning from placing the order to waving good-bye to the techs as they pulled out of the driveway! Note that charges are based on square footage to be cleaned. If you have those figures available, the person making the appointment may be able to give you an estimate of the cost. Other companies may be able to do it for less, but, in my opinion, they won't be able to do it better.
