We called the store in the morning, got an appointment for an hour and a half later. When we went in, we were on a tight schedule, because we had reservations back at our hotel for an activity we had already pre-paid. So, we asked them if we could be out of there in an hour. They said they would sure try, and they did! They were very professional, they didn't try any of the annoying upselling you sometimes get at eyeglass stores, and they had the glasses ready for pick up the following morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I can't recommend them enough.

They allowed us to go through the entire exam, with us telling them several times that we only came there because of the one hour glasses, and then told us that they no longer do 1 hour! There was no mention on the website when we made the appointment. They said nothing when we got there. We waited over 20 minutes past my daughter's appointment time. They did her glasses exam but not her contact exam so they had to take her back to do that. During this time we had mentioned several times to different people that we were there to get glasses that day because my daughter had run over hers with the lawn mower. Then they had her pick out frames. It wasn't until we were discussing which type of lens to purchase that they finally told us that they no longer do 1 hour and it would take a week to get her glasses. We told them that after that treatment we would not be buying glasses there and we took her rx elsewhere. I feel lied to. I could have been informed of the change in policy when making the appointment, when checking in, when speaking to any of the employees, or even by a sign in the window. This was certainly not the first bad experience we had there but it will be the last. I will never step foot in that place again.

I visited America's Best in Greensburg specifically for the advertised "2 pairs for $95 with a free…read moreexam" promotion. I wear simple, inexpensive black frames and thought having a second pair for work would be practical and convenient. The exam itself lasted maybe 10 minutes. While the doctor was polite, the appointment felt rushed and my concerns were brushed aside rather than addressed. I later learned I was the last patient of the day, which unfortunately showed in the level of care provided. The experience only declined from there. After my exam, I stood looking at frames for over 15 minutes without a single employee offering assistance. When someone finally spoke to me, the interaction was dismissive and unhelpful. When I asked basic questions about pricing and which frames qualified for the promotion, I was simply pointed toward a small section of frames and made to feel like an inconvenience for asking for clarification. The most frustrating part: after being directed to the wall that supposedly qualified for the 2-for-$95 deal and selecting two frames from that exact section, I was quoted $465. There was no clear explanation -- just an attitude that implied I either didn't understand or couldn't afford what was being presented. As a local business owner, I would never allow my staff -- or myself -- to treat customers this way. Respectful communication and basic assistance should not be too much to expect. I left paying only for my exam and with a prescription I now have to take elsewhere. This was not just disappointing -- it was unprofessional. I would not recommend this location.
