Although we live near Augusta it had been years since we've visited a winery there. I did some research to try to find a nice one that allowed you to bring your own food and had beautiful views, and ended up at Noboleis. We were not disappointed! They had a generous wine-tasting package, (love their wine glasses to take home). The view was exactly what I was hoping for. The weather was gorgeous. We're planning a return visit when the leaves turn. Can't wait to come back. Absolutely perfect! read more

We really enjoyed the wine and the outside scenery, but I have to say that this winery is lacking something "extra". They do provide a tent, a little live music and plenty of seating. I just didn't get the vibe that this would be a place I anticipate visiting over and over. It was worth a try, we tried. -Bottle of Broken Red Fence (lovers of sweet) - Port, was excellent! My guy and I loved our afternoon at Noboleis Vineyards. The staff was great, as was the Dry Vignoles (the only wine we tried -- and loved!). Sydney gave us the opportunity to save a few $$ with a Groupon before our final purchase of two bottles and some pizzas. Noboleis thankfully offers a gluten-free crust, so I enjoyed the Goat Cheese Margherita. My man had some sort of meat lovers pie, which looked awesome. The atmosphere was cute and comfortable. A great time here.. will be back when the weather starts behaving. read more

Good Missouri wines. The staff is very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Jim helped us today serving us some samples, explaining the details of each wine and making recommendations. We ended up with a nice vignoles and the norton reserve. They have bands there on a regular basis with local talent. Enjoy a glass of wine, some nice music and a nice view and atmosphere. read more

If you're looking for a place to have your wedding, or just to spend the day, this is THE place! We had my brother's wedding here last weekend and they were wonderful! Merry, the wedding coordinator made us feel at ease from the minute we arrived for the rehearsal. Everything was set up perfectly and she was very professional about everything. On the wedding day, she was there to greet us as soon as we arrived with the bridal party. The bridal loft were we got ready was gorgeous! She has it all ready, complete with a few bottles of wine chilled to calm our nerves! The landscaping is beautiful. Her sister was the officiant and she was amazing! The food was THE best I've ever had at a wedding! The staff catered to us every step of the way. I would highly recommend their venue, wine, and everything about them! The only downfall of our experience was problems with the Best Western in Washington (don't plan on staying there! See review.), but that was completely unrelated to the wonderful experience we had at Noboleis. Thanks again Noboleis for taking such great care of our family and guests! read more

This is my new favorite place to go in Augusta. It is a beautiful setting, great tasting wine, great service at the tasting bar and an outstanding and engaged owner. We are members of their Wine Club, which we are enjoying a great deal At our most recent visit, they had made up some fresh Sangria which was exceptional. To their credit, they had recipe cards so you could make it at home. We also sampled all of their newer products and had a couple of glasses on the outside patio. While we were there, the owner joined and and we had the opportunity to learn his story about starting the vineyard and the day-to-day operation of it. This is a must-visit for anyone going to Augusta. Much better product than most of the other vineyards in Augusta. read more

You will absolutely not find a better Norton in Missouri than their Owners Reserve. The Dry Vignoles and Baril de Blanc are top class whites that will rival even some of your favorite whites from the west coast! read more

I frequent Noboleis due to the fact I'm getting married here and love the atmosphere, the wine, the staff, everything! This place is so beautiful. The staff is so friendly and engaging. They really do treat you like family & know their wine. The wine is the best wine I've ever had, and they have great snacks too. Average price per bottle is like $17. Their barrel room is so cool if you have a chance to view it. read more

don't expect a california style winery. the wines are all red or white blends. although unlike some other missouri wineries this one actually has a vineyard and beautiful space for dining outdoors. the staff is very nice and helpful. i would've wanted some more information about all the different wines during the tasting. the steepleview red wine was our favorite. all the bottles are so cheap! (at around $20 each). we had one during dinner and another to go. the pizza is thin crust style. we loved the margarita pizza! the bruschetta plate is enormous. it was a great time but please people don't serve your wine in plastic cups-especially when requested. get some wine glasses! read more

Nothing really special here...yet. They have a nice tasting room in a great location along the trail of other Augusta wineries. They are still fairly young, so in the next few years, I could see Noboleis turning into another great addition to the Augusta wine trail. Looking forward to see what they'll have to offer in the future. read more

These guys make the best wine in the Defiance/Augusta area. The Norton and Vignoles are fantastic. Its best to go when the weather is nice since the outdoor patio is fantastic, but they do have a small tasting room. read more

My daughter had her wedding at this small but fabulous winery! The location, view, staff and working relationship with the caterer artistic Affair could not have been better! The Wine was outstanding! We checked with other wineries for the wedding and they were astronomically expensive , this winery was very fair and the price was right! The Huge tent was perfect! we had 140 guests, a wild dance crowd and everything went without a hitch! Paige their wedding coordinator is a stellar person to work with! I checked this place out on a cold February morning ! The view and location are wonderful! and the owners were so inviting and caring that our wedding would be just right , and it was! read more

I booked a trip here for 70 people in my graduating law school class and it could not have been a better experience. The staff was wonderful and accommodating before the trip and were equally as great the day of the event. They offered us complimentary tours/tastings and they had wines for every type of taste. We went for a tasting and left as members. The wines are great and the staff are super! We wish they allowed dogs, there have been times we would have stopped in but we had the dog with us. I understand it can be a liability for any business, plus some people don't like dogs. The food looked and smelled good as well. We did not eat but a number of people around us seemed to really enjoy the food and selection. I recommend this winery. read more

Great afternoon with family and friends. We did a tasting for $8. 5 wines including reserves. We settled on a couple of bottles Vignoles - best for a sunny warm afternoon and some cheese and snacks that they encourage you to bring. They also sell snacks, bread, cheese, etc. so you can just show up unprepared. The views are spectacular, the service was pleasant. Highly recommend. read more

I was very disappointed on our visit here. They wouldn't sample any of their reserve or sparkling wines. Come to find out they only sample sparkling wines on the weekends (Friday on a holiday weekend apparently doesn't count). Last year when I came here, they let us sample both varieties and I purchased over $200 worth of their wines. I fully expected to spend that much yesterday, but we didn't buy anything because they wouldn't let us sample what we wanted. Unfortunately I won't be making a return trip to Noboleis, which used to be my favorite winery on the Augusta trail. Luckily I found a new favorite, the Holy Grail Winery in downtown Augusta instead. It was a beautiful October day. High of 80 degrees and sunny. I was SO looking forward to the day since it would be my day off and the perfect day to hit the wineries. We live locally so with it being only a 20 minute drive it's one of our favorite things to do. We usually go to Montelle Winery (which we love) but decided to try out some food at Nobleis instead for a change of pace. When we got there the parking lot was full ( as expected on such an amazing day) but we were happy to see that they had a lot of tables set up to accommodate the crowd.....or so we thought. My husband and I did a tasting then bought one bottle of wine to drink there, and one to take home. My husband told me to get a table while he ordered and paid. As I walked around, every..EVERY..table had a reserved sign on it!!! Even the picnic tables had a reserved sign. There were two different parties that the tables were reserved for, one of which ( I found out from the owner's daughter) was FOR a party for the owner's daughter!!! When I went back in to try to stop my husband before he paid for and ordered our food ( I was too late and the cashier was not helpful about refunding the money), I asked the cashier why there were NO tables for customers She said ( with a shrug) that the big parties had "paid for them" so the tables were theirs. I told her we had paid for them also by buying wine and food. When I asked her where she thought we should sit to eat our food, I again got a shrug. I went outside and another woman who had heard me started to complain also that she and her friends had orderd food, and the least they could have done was tell us that we could order food, but that there were no tables for us! ( Of course they wouldn't do that...they'd lose $$) My husband went back in and they finally said we could take one of the tables. We invited the other group of four to join us, which they did. Our two chicken sandwiches took an hour to come out and they were so dry I couldn't cut it. The other party of four ( who had ordered a pizza before us) waited another HOUR...yes two hours total..before their pizza finally came out, with the excuse that they couldn't find the table, so they ( the winery) just 'set it aside'. Dear Noboleis, If you were going to dedicate the winery to the private parties, fine , put up a sign saying the winery is closed for private parties. BUT if you are going to stay open for the public, it is rude beyond words to treat your clients like second class guests just because we didn't come in a group. (Or in your DAUGHTER's group ) Don't worry..you won't have to deal with me again..we won't be back. read more
