The store was very spacious but had no variety other than t-shirts. I was disappointed that there were no surf shorts other than for women and even that was sparce. You'd think living on the island where plus size people are abundant there'd be more options. I hope that they will bring in more variety of clothing other than t-shirts. I'd hate to type an average review for a local business but from my experience it wasn't a 4 or 5 star rating. Apparently you have to keep up with their socials to find out when their latest fashion drops are. I absolutely love the designs here but to my luck, my size was sold out. It is a little pricey but the quality, design, and knowing that your supporting local suffices. On the other hand, I brought my cousin from North Carolina with me since he wanted to rock some local brands up in the mainland but the ladies in the front were hiding behind the register on their phones or talking amongst themselves. I'm pretty sure what ever they have out is what's in stock and nothing in the back. There is a stage and seating area that was closed off. The line is always wrapped around the building on Black Friday. My cousin mentioned they have great deals/sales around Christmas time. read more

Located near Macy's (in case anyone is looking for Hawaii Finest Kapolei), this location is bigger than the Ward location. They just had a $10 Black Friday corner and most everything got wiped out on day 2. I'm pretty disappointed since I made the drive out to Kapolei from the Windward side. They do offer on line shopping, and offer new weekly merchandise. Follow them on Instagram. And shop early. Because most of their items sell quickly. Lots of sale and most prices are reasonable but get the items when they first come out because they run out fast! Customer service at this location is not that bad either. read more

Customer service here is terrible. I was visiting home from the mainland and normally stop by the local shops to grab stuff to rep home while away and buy stuff for my son and gifts for friends. Wasn't greeted by anyone when I walked in, they basically made like I didn't exist. Browsed the entire store and nobody asked me if I needed any help, nothing. Even tho I was in a section for like 20 mins trying to figure out what the sales were cuz the signage was a bit confusing. Was gonna ask for help too but the employees made like I was bothering them. Purchased a couple shirts even tho I was gonna just leave cuz I didn't wanna drive all the way to town for them, but felt uncomfortable af having to walk to the register. Again no hello nothing mind you I was the only customer in the store, and no thank you after the purchase. I even said have a good day, nothing back. For a brand that claims to be "For the People" really seems like they don't give af about the people smh. read more

It's times like these that make it difficult to support local. I specifically asked what the return policy is because I was buying a gift & was told "14 days in the same condition" and nothing more. I ended up having to return the items & learned at the register that it is " store credit only" which was stated by the cashier , then he further says " well,it says it on the receipt". I expressed that was not verbalized when I initially inquired. As a local & loyal customer, this really turned me off to shopping here as the message was poorly conveyed. Just wanted to EXCHANGE a t-shirt that was given as a gift with no receipt. Clerk says can't RETURN with no receipt but store TAG is still on shirt. Its an EXCHANGE! Bought a new two piece bathing suit.. when I checked out, I specifically asked the girl if I could return it because I'm not sure how it'll fit. She advised me that sometimes it runs a little small and that I can always return it within 14 days. I double checked that statement and said "really? Even for bathing suits." She said YES! Of course, it didn't fit. I barely put it on. Went up to my knees, and didn't even bother trying on the top. I put it back in the packages (very nicely) with the tags still attached. I brought it back the very next day after purchasing it and told the girl I wanted to return/exchange it. She was nice, but told me that normally they don't do returns on swimsuits. I told her that the girl I purchased it from the day prior told me I could return it. So, she decides to call the manager or owner. Then gets off the phone and says "yeah sorry you can't return it. It's all sales final on bathing suits." I told her I get it but that I asked yesterday and if they could honor what their employee told me. She asked what the cashier looked like the day prior. I explained how she looked, then she said "oh yeah she's a seasonal hire, she doesn't know what she's doing sorry." No employee should put down another employee regardless of the situation. Be that as it may, that's not an excuse. If an employee told a customer something, it needs to be honored. Period. Now I'm stuck with this bathing suit and no idea what to do with it. Waste of my time to drive back to the mall to return it like I was told I could. I just hope they'll all be on the same page one dayShouldn't matter what your job hiring title is. read more

I went to their grand opening and wow! I was able to get Christmas shopping done early (so my moms daughter)! Make sure to double check online bc they do have sales that aren't in stores and vice versa. I was able to find $10 T-shirts in sale and they had xxxl shirts which are usually hard to find. Worst customer service experience I have had in a long time. Management and staff are so under trained. They think they are in the clothing/retail Business. What they should be reminded of is that they are in the people business. How you treat people determines if they return or not. Hard to support local company's and brands when the staff treat people like you are doing them a favor. So sad. I remember the brand and it's founders when they just started out. So humble and kind. I have NEVER been so disappointed in a local brand. Hawaiis finest has gone down bad. As if the holiday season was not horrible it's worse now. I walked in recently after christmas time and was not greeted by any of the associates and when asked for assistance with a return the employees there didn't seem to know what they were talking about. When asked to speak with a manager I was told they don't have a manager on shift. SHAMEFUL! What kind of retail establishment doesn't have a manager? I don't know if the employees are lazy or they are just flat out but whatever it is they need to fix it. They even lets kids run around the store and climb on top displays SMH. I don't know about you guys but if I see kids running in my store ruining things as an employee I'd say something to the parents at least. Hawaiis finest has horrible consideration for mistakes that they made. i purchased a kaulike set for my family a few months back. upon bringing what i wanted to buy to check out the cashier there offered to give us new stock that was still sealed in bags instead of what we brought up off the clothes racks. so we took our set and left. a few weeks go by and we intend to use our new set that we bought. upon opening we find out that one of our items wasn't what we initially brought up to buy. it was the dress instead of the jumpsuit. then we decided to bring it in and exchange it for the jumpsuit but their were no more in stock and their wasn't gonna be anymore. so that ruined our family set since my wife gonna use the dress. goes without saying but if you are gonna offer customers new stock from the back be sure to bring the right item. so all we could do was either get a refund or store credit. hawaiis finest is not owning up to their own employees mistake by not letting us get either a refund or even store credit. i spoke to the manager there her name was la'a and she said we could get store credit. upon arriving a employee by the name of jonalyn said she was on the phone with her district manager(not sure why)and they said we cant have either. so either jonalyn is not explaining our situation correctly or the district manager of hawaiis finest really doesnt want to make things right. pretty bad business if you ask me. you would think a local brand would have some sense courtesy to make things right but i guess not. if they want to reach out to me and make things right i would be willing to adjust this review accordingly. read more

Very disappointed with Hawaii's Finest. But what do you expect from a company who was never loyal to their peers from the start. I had bought a handbag back in January 2021. One month after having it, the lip that holds the strap ripped. I called the Kapolei store twice. First time, they never answer. Second time, the manager wasn't in the store so the employee took down my information and said the manager will call back. Never received a call back. Had to call the store again, asked for the manager, who then said that there is nothing they can do. I asked "do you at least have replacement parts?" And she said, "no". The best advice she gave us was to email the owner of Hawaii's Finest who told us that they don't replace or exchange their items when they break... like "are you for real?" I haven't had the hand bag for 6 months and it's already ripping and falling apart. Since the business took off, they have been high maka maka. Which is absolutely disappointing and embarrassing to the Hawaiian culture. I hope you folks find it in your heart to remember what the true meaning of "aloha" is. read more
