While getting my tires rotated at Costco, the tireshop called me to say one of my lugnuts had seized (apparently this is very common for Subarus) and they would have to cut off the wheel stud. They said any autoshop could repair it, and it would be around $300. Okay fine, do what needs to be done. I drive past Noel's every single day but somehow I forgot this place existed. I called them up and the woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. She answered all my questions (I tend to have a lot of those) and scheduled a time for the repair. I came the night before and dropped off my car. They called around 11:15 to say my car was ready to go. Boyfriend picked it up for me while I was at work. Simple fix to an easy problem. My wheel has five studs and five lug nuts again. I would definitely go here again in the future if more extensive work needs to be done. read more

Noel's Automotive Saves My Day Again! Yesterday's auto quandary was daunting. At around 4pm I'd discovered my hybrid car's power had run down, and somehow, I had to get to work to teach my evening class an hour away from my house. If I waited for Auto Club to come give me a charge, I would have been late to work, and it was too late to call in for a substitute to teach my class. Chris immediately got on the phone with me and kindly offered to send his shop tech Joe to our home, as we live only a few minutes away from Noel's. Joe arrived within minutes and charged up my car battery, advising me that if I kept the car running, all would be well. Thanks to Noel's amazing assistance with charging my car by making a house call on short notice, I was able to get to work in time to teach my evening class. This was nothing short of a miracle! Moreover, my car radio, which hadn't been working lately, came on for the first time in a week as a result of the battery charge provided. The cargo basket and box were smashed Although I tried, I couldn't remove it so I drove it to the nearest auto shop I could find on google. It was Noel's and Josh was amazing. My truck needed a service while we were camping. I took the truck to the shop and they immediately tried to diagnose the problem. Once we determined it to be an electrical issue, they asked me to leave the truck overnight so it could be repaired the next day. They repaired it withn 1 day but weren't satisfied with the results so they kept it an additional day and fixed a few minor issues and then it was fixed. Staff was extremely friendly and the guys in the shop were professional and even gave me a ride back to my campsite a few miles away 2x, when I was there without a ride back. Needless to say a bad battery terminal connection and an alternator were the issue, once repaired we were able to tow are trailer home and I haven't had an issues. I'm glad there are still honest and trustworthy shops out there. If Noel's didn't get my truck fixed in time I was going to have a world of troubles with trailer storage, getting my family, and dog back home back to Sacramento. read more

Pretty funny Josh how your employee Chris mentioned to me that I blew the motor up but bottom line is that if the car would have shifted like it should have then there wouldn't have been a issue... and as far as the clunk the 2 new tires I purchased when I got my car back it still had the same issue same clunk end result I was out of a car and a big chunk of money so would I recommend your shop to anybody absolutely not. read more

I was visiting the area when I discovered I had a flat tire, unfortunately I had a bolt stuck in the tire. AAA got the car to Noels Automotive and they just did a great job. I see reviews where people say that if they could make a negative star... minus three stars.... I never thought I would be one of them. Not good is not good enough. These people are poison. Negative stars. I arranged weeks in advance of having my classic Jaguar flat bed transported to Josh's shop after it had been stolen and beat up. He agreed he could take care of whatever was needed. My first requirement was to completely inspect the car to evaluate what needed to be done. That took five visits to the shop and almost two months of time for him to tell me that the car was fine. I paid directly for keys and a special 800.00 cleaning needed. Josh did not do any kind of inspection and missed major issues, including the fact that the steering wheel was 35% off center and the brake lights were always on. How can anyone miss that? EVERYTHING he did was wrong. I found the car in a filthy back lot. It would not start. Trouble lights flashed. THE BREAKS DID NOT WORK RIGHT AFTER HIS "REPAIR". HE PUT THE WRONG TRANSMISSION FLUID IN AND NOT ENOUGH TO RUN. British European Motors in Cotati had to fully replace every single thing these losers did. When I demanded he return my money and pay for the fix... he was not reachable. He would refer my attorney to his...but he never did. HE JUST PLAIN RIPPED ME OFF! He refused to even talk about it much less make it right. These people are the worst example of abusive auto repair shops. They do not know what they are doing and they act like it is somehow all my fault even though I paid if full before I even saw the car. The real mechanic that fixed the car said I will be lucky if the transmission lasts and Noel's Autos work could have killed me or some poor guy on the road when he gave me a car with no brakes. When I confronted him he told me I inconvenienced him by "dumping my crappy car on him". DRIVE TO A REAL SHOP IN SANTA ROSA. These guys will destroy your car, keep your money and insult you to boot. SAY AWAY!!!!!!! We have filed a complaint with the bureau of Auto Repair and filed a suit in court. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. read more

Unfortunately my first experience with this shop was great. This review is for my second experience. I stopped in a week prior to see if I could get a simple oil change for the next week. I was told it was doable by Josh. He asked me to leave my name and number so that if my appointment for whatever reason could not work they would call me. I called the day prior to see if I still had my appointment and they said they did not have me down. I was informed that the number I gave them did not work. The employee reading the phone number misread it that was why I was not able to be reached. I wanted to support local, and I had such a great experience a couple of years prior that I wanted to take my car in to them to give them my business. Unfortunately just an overall bad customer service experience. Not even an apology that they could not reach me. I would have gone in to my scheduled appointment and had a very bad experience! This shops reputation precedes itself. Stop in after needing a tire repaired, got there before they were open and the owner told me to just drop it off and he will get it done within 10-15 mins. I came back and tire was fixed, the actual work performed wasn't that notable honestly. What exceeded my expectations and what seems like a rarity these days in business is a marketing culture within his company. From the mechanic working in the shop, the other guys working around the shop to what I assumed to be the owner. Solid, on point customer service without the feel of over reaching, kissing behind to get a good review. I will most certainly as I have family living in Guerneville take my vehicles to this shop if they have time and it works out. I will go out of my way to ensure my business goes here. read more

Can't say enough good things about Noel's Automotive....Have been bringing my vehicles (Old Toyota Camry and Old Dodge Van) to Chris there for over 10 years and have always been more than satisfied with the quality of work, the reasonable cost, and the honesty and professionalism of the mechanics... Having car problems is very stressful to most of us but Chris is just so nice, patient and honest in explaining what the problem might be and how much it might cost....and then he follows thru with the repairs on time and within budget... Having two old vehicles automatically means lots of different problems with them and it's very rare that Chris can't fix them...and if he can't, he has a wealth of referrals that I always feel I can trust because he sent me to them... Let me start by saying I hardly ever write reviews.... I was in town to visit family and live about 4.5 hours away. I was 20 minute away from Monte Rio when my engine light began flashing and the engine started shaking. Needless to say, I was pretty annoyed. My boyfriend and I were in Monte Rio because we had booked a zip-lining experience for our 2 year anniversary just a few minutes away from the shop. We had made it to the place when the cars check battery light lit up as we were pulling in and my boyfriend began to lose power steering. When we got to Noel's they took care of us pretty fast, the car needed a new alternator and would be ready by the next morning. We didn't plan for an overnight trip so we had no idea where to stay or how to get around so Josh (Noel's service advisor) kindly recommended a place close by to stay and even offered to drive us there when we figured out it would take longer than expected to walk there (it was also very hot). The car was done earlier than expected the next morning and Josh made sure to get us a discount for it being our anniversary. If it weren't for their exemplary customer service we could've been much more stressed than we already were. So thank you to Josh, Jon, and Chris you're doing amazing! read more

Wow! So happy with the quality and affordability of their work. The rear brake lines on my Subaru Outback ruptured from years of corrosion. First, I made the mistake of taking it to 'Big O' tires and brakes in Sebastopol CA. They took a look at it and said "This will cost more than the value of the car to repair. You should just throw it away and buy a new car" and sent me on my way. I was about to call Pick & Pull to haul it away, but I went to Noels for a second opinion, and they told me 'No problem, we can do this in a matter of hours' and completely replaced the brake lines for under $400! The brakes work great now. Love it. Chris & team are competent, friendly, honest, sincere and hard working. I'm going to keep coming back. read more

I went in for an oil change and they kept my vehicle almost all day. Then they called me towards the end of the day and said they couldn't do the oil change because the plug was cross threaded and I needed a new oil pan. I asked how much for the oil pan repair and they said $1000. I took it to my friend who is a mechanic. He said the plug was fine, not cross threaded. He did the oil change - I was so happy - I gave him $100. Noel's is the fox in charge of the chicken coop; in other words crooks. read more
