If these are authentic tamales, give me the unauthentic ones. They are bland and extremely mushy.

All were excellent, but my favorite so far is the Garlic Chicken followed by the Pinto Bean (mild) and Mild Pork.

Had a #6 (taco and enchilada). The taco came in a separate dish (okay) but fell apart when I tried to pick it up. I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

The chips are crispy and the salsa tasty, not hot and spicy. Husband ordered a shrimp taco salad. "These are tiny shrimp!" I had a trip of tostadas. One chicken, beef and pork. Each one was so tasty and flavorful! We found Zama on Yelp. We traveling from Florida to home. It was our first visit, which Dylan asked about. At the end of our meal, the manager came over and greeted us and brought us a dessert to share. We will arrange our next road trip to Florida to include Zana again.

Chips and salsa were good -- the salsa was really tasty! We added a small cheese dip, almost $7 for a small serving "bowl". Liked it but for that price, maybe a larger portion would be good? We ordered the steak fajitas to split. Portion was nice for two of us, able to make about 5 with the items. Homemade flour tortillas were nice. The refried beans were a bit bland and we don't each much rice. Overall slightly under 4 stars, maybe 3.8. Staff were a bonus!

The restaurant is inside an old house with a massive wrap around porch featuring plenty of covered outdoor seating. As we walked to the hostess stand we noticed a sign stating they lost their liquor license. This was a massive let down as I was excited for a margarita. We almost left but decided to give it a shot. Inside was a pretty standard Mexican restaurant decor. The place was clean and looked to be well kept. Our server didn't seem too excited about life and was a bit slow and unenthusiastic. Brought our chips and salsa pretty quick and took our drink order. When he came back with our waters and soda we placed our food order. I wanted a Carne Asada which I was told is actually no longer available. This is completely bonkers to me. A staple dish at any Mexican restaurant. So I ordered something else that has skirt steak in it. Super confusing how they couldn't do that particular dish. Overall the food we ordered was actually really good. Prepared well and full of flavor. Nice size portion. Unfortunately the lack of service and margaritas really makes it tough to return. Follow me on IG: danny_runsforbeer

We came for Tex-Mex. We left forever changed…read more We entered Chuy's in Kennesaw as a family, unaware that fate had already taken our table and was polishing our glasses. That's when our server - McLovin' - appeared. Not rushed, not flustered, but steady. Assured. A man who knows where the ranch jalapeno dip was and wasn't afraid to use that power. He placed our waters down gently but with purpose. Cold. Clear. Limitless. From that moment on, we trusted him... with everything. The King's Memorial combos arrived like a vow. Enchiladas layered in sauce, rich and unapologetic, as if they had been simmering while thinking about us specifically. Each bite wrapped itself around my expectations and whispered, "You're not leaving the same." My wife and I locked eyes across the table -- the look married people give each other when something very right is happening, and there's no need to narrate it. Then came the burrito. My son's "Big As Yo Face" steak burrito didn't just arrive -- it claimed territory. Massive. Confident. Wrapped tight like it knew its own worth. McLovin' presented it without fear, without commentary, because when something is that powerful, words only get in the way. Throughout the meal, McLovin' moved like a man guided by instinct alone. Our waters refilled before thirst could even form the thought. Chips refilled at the precise moment emotional closure was achieved. He never hovered. He never vanished. He existed in that rare, perfect space between presence and mystery. We didn't order the always-delicious Margaritas. They weren't required. Ours was a sober, fully conscious awakening. When the meal ended, we sat there for a moment. Quiet. Changed. Hydrated. And satisfied beyond reason. We paid the bill reluctantly, knowing some experiences can't be relived -- only honored by returning. Chuy's served food. McLovin' served destiny. We will be back.

Location: Chuy's Dunwoody / Perimeter, GA…read more Date of incident: November 22, 2025 On November 22, 2025, I ordered takeout from this Chuy's location for myself, my two children, and a friend. The order included chicken and beef enchiladas with refried beans. While eating, I discovered a foreign object that appeared to be a balled-up napkin or paper material embedded inside the refried beans, completely concealed by the food. This was not visible until I had already begun eating. My children and my friend also consumed food from the same order before the issue was discovered. This experience was extremely upsetting and has caused me ongoing anxiety about eating out, especially when ordering food for my children or sharing meals with others. Finding a foreign object inside prepared food is alarming and raises serious concerns about food handling and safety. I am posting this review to make others aware and to encourage better food safety practices at this location. I hope management takes this seriously so another family or customer does not experience the same situation.
