    Chicken fajitas
    Meredith R.

A smidgen under four stars. What this restaurant has going for it is a shaded porch, strong drinks, and a waiter (whose name escapes me) who was smiley, charming and made me feel better on a difficult day. (Note my large margarita!) While there are Mexican restaurants I favor, I'm always up to trying new places. We had been in the building years ago when it was occupied by a wonderful Eastern European eatery, and I was curious about its replacement. While I liked El Taco's salsa and chips -- the salsa has zing! -- my fajitas were only three stars. Chicken was nicely grilled and seasoned as requested, but not well trimmed. (Some cartilage and grizzle.) Neither the rice nor my beans were anything special. I didn't think T's cochinita pibil (braised pork shoulder) looked appealing, but he said it was delicious. The black beans that came with it were infinitely better than the refried ones on my plate. Sometimes ambience -- in this case a comfortable outdoor setting -- wins out. So yes, we will be back!

SO MUCH YUM! We stopped in on a Thursday evening and a hostess brought us to a table outside. She was very friendly! Gabby was our server and she was EXCELLENT! Very sweet, professional, prompt, attentive. Very cute restaurant. We sat outside (we had great weather!) and I loved all of the cute boho pendant lights hanging from the ceiling. Gabby brought us chips & salsa & also our drinks. The Hawaiian drink had rum and a pretty pink flower. If you like sweet drinks, you should try it! Food & drinks were so delicious - the chicken soup was great. I ordered the smallest size and it came out in a giant bowl! I definitely had enough to bring home. The steak azteca tacos were soooo good - very flavorful and juicy. Absolutely recommend! Next time I want to try the fish tacos. My brother had the esquites and they were VERY good! My husband tried the fajitas and Omg - big yes for me. My son tried the kid's burrito and it was a very large portion. He had plenty to take home for leftovers. I didn't try it but he said it was good. I would definitely go back and try other options! They had a nice variety of items on their menu. Plenty of parking available outside and plenty of outdoor sea

    FIRE CHEESE QUESADILLA

I honestly came in with low expectations, and I don't like Mexican food, but I FINISHED MY PLATE! I ordered a cheese quesadilla with a side of rice and put my rice in the middle. Boy I finished my plate cuz that stuff was fire! Love this place and would eat it again. Make sure your standard isn't that of a king, peasant.

Cute neighborhood restaurant, reminded me of a house so you get a cozy feeling that you're eating at home. The food was good and the service was great. Especially loved the house margarita very tasty and flavorful.

It was our first time here! My hubby and I love Mexican food and are in search of a local favorite! This place is decent, but doesn't fit my needs as a favorite. It's dimly mediocre.

We came for Tex-Mex. We left forever changed…read more We entered Chuy's in Kennesaw as a family, unaware that fate had already taken our table and was polishing our glasses. That's when our server - McLovin' - appeared. Not rushed, not flustered, but steady. Assured. A man who knows where the ranch jalapeno dip was and wasn't afraid to use that power. He placed our waters down gently but with purpose. Cold. Clear. Limitless. From that moment on, we trusted him... with everything. The King's Memorial combos arrived like a vow. Enchiladas layered in sauce, rich and unapologetic, as if they had been simmering while thinking about us specifically. Each bite wrapped itself around my expectations and whispered, "You're not leaving the same." My wife and I locked eyes across the table -- the look married people give each other when something very right is happening, and there's no need to narrate it. Then came the burrito. My son's "Big As Yo Face" steak burrito didn't just arrive -- it claimed territory. Massive. Confident. Wrapped tight like it knew its own worth. McLovin' presented it without fear, without commentary, because when something is that powerful, words only get in the way. Throughout the meal, McLovin' moved like a man guided by instinct alone. Our waters refilled before thirst could even form the thought. Chips refilled at the precise moment emotional closure was achieved. He never hovered. He never vanished. He existed in that rare, perfect space between presence and mystery. We didn't order the always-delicious Margaritas. They weren't required. Ours was a sober, fully conscious awakening. When the meal ended, we sat there for a moment. Quiet. Changed. Hydrated. And satisfied beyond reason. We paid the bill reluctantly, knowing some experiences can't be relived -- only honored by returning. Chuy's served food. McLovin' served destiny. We will be back.

Definitely set up for a god time. The service is excellent. Our server, Abbie, was a gem. Super friendly and prompt. She did an incredible job upselling us as well. Lol. We went in on a Monday evening and learned they do $5 house margaritas on Mondays. Something I can absolutely get down with! The margarita was solid, especially for the price. For an addition $3 you can add an extra shot which I did and it made it all the better, still at a great price at $8. Chips and salsa came out literally as we were sat. Extremely quick. The chips were fresh, hot, and crispy. They had a nice light salting on them. The salsa tasted fresh and was garnish with fresh cilantro which gave it a nice pop. The salsa itself was a little bland, however. Definitely not spicy at all which is fine but I would have preferred a little more spice. I ordered the Quesadilla Birra. It was plated beautifully with a side of consommé. Overall they were just okay. The meat was nicely cooked, tender but it was just bland. Consommé was the same, bland. I likely wouldn't order this dish again. My partner did the shrimp fajitas and they were fantastic. The shrimp were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sautéed onions and peppers were also cooked perfectly. I will absolutely be back. I would like to give more of the menu a chance and the daily specials are hard to beat.

Problem was it was close to 10 PM when we got out but La Parrilla was open until 10:30 PM. But the host greeted us with a smile and brought us to our table in the back, and there was a large group upfront. Let me tell you that every employee we encountered, even though it was very late, made us feel incredibly welcome and did not rush us at all! Our waiter, Emilio, was fun and kind, and kept our chip basket and drinks full. Amazing service! Being so late, we only ordered one entrée, chicken chimichanga. My wife ordered a hard taco supreme à la cart, and we also had a small table side guac before the meal came out. That size was plenty enough for the both of us, and could've been enough for 3-4 people. I was incredibly impressed at how fresh everything was, and we were delightfully surprised to see that the taco shell and the taco bowl that my lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream sides came in, were freshly-made light and crunchy taco shells!! We are excited to come back and visit again, this time will bring our local family. OH, and let me say this place gets CLEANED at night!!
