We came here after church for a tasty, authentic Mexican lunch. Things started off a bit rocky. I ordered a quesadilla for my children to share, and she responded with, "the lunch special isn't available, it says that on the menu." While I understand the policy, this could have been communicated in a kinder, more welcoming way. My husband ordered a soda, but it had no flavor and tasted only like soda water. When I politely asked if it could be removed from the bill and replaced with water, the server questioned my request and pointed out that the glass was full, which felt unnecessary and rude. My husband also ordered carne asada. The server asked if he wanted flour or corn tortillas, but none were brought out with his meal. Thankfully, I was able to share one of mine from my tacos. That said, as the meal went on, our server's attitude did improve, and she became more positive and kind, which I appreciated. The food itself was fantastic--my tacos were flavorful, and my children and husband enjoyed their meals as well. The salsa could use more spice, but overall the dishes were fresh and delicious. The chairs could use some cushions. Plenty of parking. We came on a Saturday night before 7:30 pm, there was no wait time and we were seated immediately. $56 after tip for two adults, but one of us only ordered a half portion. So it could easily approach $60-$65, after tip for a date night, with no alcoholic drink orders. Feels a tad pricey for Mexican food, but that's why I suggest asking if your order is half portion eligible.

You could tell they truly care about their work and the restaurant. And let me mention how clean the place was--like, oddly clean. I saw a staff member cleaning each individual blind and then moving on to the windows. I've never seen that kind of detailed cleaning at closing time in any restaurant.
