Friendly Staff - not much English spoken LOL Got tamales - Excellent I will be back

Outside entrance of newest Las Tejitas location in Kennesaw!

Excellent all around! Food, customer service, clean restaurant, great hours! One very happy customer! Great location off of Baker road located in the Publix shopping plaza. Plenty of parking available outside. Located right next to entrance so very easy to enter and exit plaza. Their current hours are 11:00am-11:00pm seven days a week. They're pretty active on their social media pages, too. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman named Howard behind the counter and he was very welcoming and genuinely seemed happy to be there (we visited on Labor Day, around 6:00pm). Customer service is BIG for me so I was very satisfied that he was helpful and wore a smile. He brought our food to our table and even stopped by to check on us which was very nice! Plenty of seating available inside and they even had two tables outside that could seat 4 people each. I had three asada (steak) tacos with cilantro and onions. They come neatly packaged in a to-go box with two small containers of sauce and freshly sliced radish and limes. The asada is always juicy and never dry. SO GOOD! I also get a side of rice with beans. They asked if I wanted pinto or black beans. The black beans are very good! Seasoned well. One of my favorite things they offer is the hot Cheetos esquites (corn) - DELICIOUS! Mild heat but perfectly seasoned and it's just so good. Try it! My husband and son love their hot Cheetos burrito - it's gigantic! Great price compared to other places. They also have a hot Cheetos quesadilla but we haven't tried that yet. They have horchata and also served Coca Cola products. I believe they also have agua frescas! Desserts range from fresh churros, cheesecake, chocolate cake and some others. They had upbeat Spanish music playing softly in the background. Plenty of customers stopped in while we sat and ate our meals. I saw signage that they can be ordered on UberEats and GrubHub. I am SO HAPPY one of our favorite taco spots opened a location closer to us. We used to order pick-up from the Smyrna location whenever my husband was on that side of town at his barbershop. We couldn't really enjoy eating inside because the Smyrna location is very small so we always chose pick-up. The new Kennesaw location is so cute! It's clean, spacious, plenty of seating. Clean restroom (I only visited the women's and they did not have a changing table available, just FYI). It's much more welcoming and inviting. It was previously Chilitos (I have never eaten there before) so to my understanding the restaurant itself had a nice makeover. I absolutely loved it and had a great first experience dining inside the restaurant at this new location.

Chairs on top of tables at 1pm on a Sunday. They open at 11.

Service is horrible. The cashier is always so rude. Very uninviting place. 1pm on a Sunday, half the chairs are up on the table, I wasn't sure it was open when I walked in. Food is decent.

Nice surprise I tried to go to Mexican chain fast serve restaurant that just opened up the street, but that place was out of steak so I headed over here. Did not realize they had new owners and totally revamped the place, nice surprise. Menu had a lot of great options but got the asada tacos since I was in the mood for steak. Delicious authentic street tacos. Can't wait to explore the rest of the menu.

Blocking me because I did not like your company food kind of crazy.

The chips are crispy and the salsa tasty, not hot and spicy. Husband ordered a shrimp taco salad. "These are tiny shrimp!" I had a trip of tostadas. One chicken, beef and pork. Each one was so tasty and flavorful! We found Zama on Yelp. We traveling from Florida to home. It was our first visit, which Dylan asked about. At the end of our meal, the manager came over and greeted us and brought us a dessert to share. We will arrange our next road trip to Florida to include Zana again.

Had a #6 (taco and enchilada). The taco came in a separate dish (okay) but fell apart when I tried to pick it up. I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

Chips and salsa were good -- the salsa was really tasty! We added a small cheese dip, almost $7 for a small serving "bowl". Liked it but for that price, maybe a larger portion would be good? We ordered the steak fajitas to split. Portion was nice for two of us, able to make about 5 with the items. Homemade flour tortillas were nice. The refried beans were a bit bland and we don't each much rice. Overall slightly under 4 stars, maybe 3.8. Staff were a bonus!

The restaurant is inside an old house with a massive wrap around porch featuring plenty of covered outdoor seating. As we walked to the hostess stand we noticed a sign stating they lost their liquor license. This was a massive let down as I was excited for a margarita. We almost left but decided to give it a shot. Inside was a pretty standard Mexican restaurant decor. The place was clean and looked to be well kept. Our server didn't seem too excited about life and was a bit slow and unenthusiastic. Brought our chips and salsa pretty quick and took our drink order. When he came back with our waters and soda we placed our food order. I wanted a Carne Asada which I was told is actually no longer available. This is completely bonkers to me. A staple dish at any Mexican restaurant. So I ordered something else that has skirt steak in it. Super confusing how they couldn't do that particular dish. Overall the food we ordered was actually really good. Prepared well and full of flavor. Nice size portion. Unfortunately the lack of service and margaritas really makes it tough to return. Follow me on IG: danny_runsforbeer

That's when our server - McLovin' - appeared. Not rushed, not flustered, but steady. Assured. A man who knows where the ranch jalapeno dip was and wasn't afraid to use that power. He placed our waters down gently but with purpose. Cold. Clear. Limitless. From that moment on, we trusted him... with everything. The King's Memorial combos arrived like a vow. Enchiladas layered in sauce, rich and unapologetic, as if they had been simmering while thinking about us specifically. Each bite wrapped itself around my expectations and whispered, "You're not leaving the same." My wife and I locked eyes across the table -- the look married people give each other when something very right is happening, and there's no need to narrate it. Then came the burrito. My son's "Big As Yo Face" steak burrito didn't just arrive -- it claimed territory. Massive. Confident. Wrapped tight like it knew its own worth. McLovin' presented it without fear, without commentary, because when something is that powerful, words only get in the way. Throughout the meal, McLovin' moved like a man guided by instinct alone. Our waters refilled before thirst could even form the thought. Chips refilled at the precise moment emotional closure was achieved. He never hovered. He never vanished. He existed in that rare, perfect space between presence and mystery. We didn't order the always-delicious Margaritas. They weren't required. Ours was a sober, fully conscious awakening. When the meal ended, we sat there for a moment. Quiet. Changed. Hydrated. And satisfied beyond reason. We paid the bill reluctantly, knowing some experiences can't be relived -- only honored by returning. Chuy's served food. McLovin' served destiny. We will be back.
