Anybody reading this review should know that in these days of microwave dentistry...think Gentle Dental... finding a dentist, who is thoughtful, other centered, and technologically savvy is rare. The team in this practice--From the front desk staff to the dental associates to the hygienist, and of course, to the dentists themselves-- have proven themselves to be among the top in the city, and I would argue in the state. The only pain you'll probably experience is finding parking, but with several parking garages around, the Orange line down the block, and a coffee shop nearby, you can't go wrong.

I was assigned to the female dentist, Crista. I decided to do Invisalign because my bottom front teeth were a bit shifted, but my top teeth were perfect. I truly had a beautiful smile and never worried about fixing the bottom teeth because it wasn't much of a big deal. But what turned out to be an easy job turned out to be my worst nightmare. This dentist, if you can call her that, not only didn't fix my bottom teeth but also screwed up my top teeth. She spent most of the treatment on my top teeth to the point that she messed them up and never worked on the bottom teeth that was the initial problem. She screwed up my top teeth to the point that even bones grew outside of my gums. I went from having a perfect front top teeth to messed up top teeth. I told her before she started the treatment that I would not want to change my top teeth, and she assured me that wouldn't happen. Not only did I go through the incompetence of this dentist, but her assistant, who is very rude, uneducated, and bitter, bruised my lips twice while getting impressions on my teeth and didn't even apologize for it. This woman is so SICK of her own life that anything that comes her way, she wants to hurt. I got to a point where I was afraid every time she was assigned to do something on my teeth. I ended up going to an orthodontist because this dentist messed up my teeth so bad that even the orthodontist noticed the bad job that was done! To make things even worse, I was only rebated less than what I had paid to this dentist despite the messed up job she did that even she recognized but only rebated less than what I paid. I had to pay for the whole treatment at my orthodontist due to the amount of work they had to do on my teeth, not only for the bottom teeth that were the initial problem but also now I had to pay for the top teeth that are messed up. This dentist office only has two dentists, a male and a female dentist who happen to be husband and wife. I cannot speak for the husband since I never once interacted with him, even though you would think that if there's something wrong, the other would come and check, but no. I heard lots of rumors, so especially ladies BEWARE if you fall into the hands of this female dentist, you might end up looking worst and having to pay a big price for it just like I did. I guess it was not enough to mess up my teeth; I asked her to send over my Invisalign records to my orthodontist as per their requests, but she did more than that and tried to make me look like I was the problem. She comes from a family of dentists and knows all the tricks to cover up her mistakes but thankfully, my orthodontist saw through her BS right away. I completely understand 24-hour cancelation policies -- the dentist could have booked someone else and could potentially lose $$ if you wait too long to let them know, which I take seriously. My expectations and hopes were probably too high as a first-time offender, having had an otherwise nice experience with the front desk team, and I've also been going to Dr. Eka for over two years. However, the way they treated me when I had to cancel over 20 hours before my appt surprised me. I've been having a really hard time with my health and had to schedule a very important, last-minute doctor's appt that interfered with my allotted time at Arch Street, and I got back to them as quickly as I could. The front desk responded with annoyance, no flexibility that allowed me to rebook without the $75 fee, and clearly just wanted to send me a bill and get on with it. I had also moved my initial appt time out the week before (with plenty of notice) so I understand their frustration (this was referenced by the front desk when explaining their lack of understanding or flexibility), but I do feel you should be able to move your appt time out when you provide enough notice without receiving backlash. I'm going to look for a team where I feel more supported -- where there's perhaps slightly more flexibility and understanding during difficult times, particularly after multiple years of patronage. The teeth cleaning was also thorough and was not rough at all... I have had that before with hygienists and I hate that. So, this made going to the dentist pleasant. And he prescribed me steroids to help the unbearable pain... the pain went away and I just went on my days as usual... recently the pain started acting up after a bad case of domestic violence (which no one cared to listen to on the phone).... I called informed them I would like to book a time for surgery. The woman on the phone said I could make payments it wouldn't be a problem and it would cost 3k.. I agreed we booked a date... I called back to confirm the date a few days later and the woman said she canceled my appointment and I wasn't able to make payments... as much cash as I have spent getting my teeth done in this place the audacity to not care enough to help me on a payment plan is enough for me to write a review. I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Anya Rost. I originally went to Dr. Rost for…read moreimplants so I that could receive a fixed bridge. Unfortunately, one of the implants was placed in the wrong tooth position, specifically #6 and #5. Implants should have been placed in #6 and #3 as was the original contract. This made it impossible to proceed with a planned bridge. I had to undergo additional procedures and pay for another implant. Even after doing so I still have a space in the back of my mouth after the teeth were placed. This has resulted in significant cost, time and stress. I wish the planning and placement had been done more carefully from the start as it has long lasting consequences for my dental treatment options. Patients considering implant work may want to ask detailed questions about planning and positioning before proceeding.
