Everyone does their job with the utmost professionalism and kindness! The front office staff always greet us with a smile and a kind word. When we've had to change appointments or come in for emergency bracket repair or replacement, it's never been a problem. The office has always made time for us. I could write a book on the entire process from start to finish on all the reasons Dr. Fotovat is the right choice for your child's (or your) orthodontic needs. We really appreciated his measured approach with our boys who had very different orthodontic needs. He checked our boys every six months for a couple of years before determining the time was right for them to begin their orthodontic journeys. Our older son's teeth were fairly straight, but he had a bit of an overbite that needed correcting. He only needed one phase with the braces starting toward the end of middle school and was done by the end of his freshman year in high school. Our younger son had a multitude of issues from overcrowding to crooked teeth to a major underbite. Dr. Fotovat worked on him in two phases, beginning when he was eight years old. After completing the first phase which included expanders and one round of braces, he waited to start the final phase until his jaw growth slowed down to ensure the best possible outcome. Both boys have the most beautiful smiles now. We could not be happier with their outcomes. Dr. Fotovat really cares about his patients, and he cares about their outcomes. We continue to highly recommend Dr. Fotovat and his team to our friends and to anyone who asks.

First, he very patiently explained why I needed to start with a SARPE surgery to get truly transformative results. He showed me simulations of how the surgery worked and was honest with me about what recovery would be like (rough). After a few months of recovery, he fixed an expanding device to the roof of my mouth and we began slowly cranking the roof of my mouth wider and wider. I won't lie, I was a whiner; I hated wearing that device because it gave me a lisp. But Dr. Dougherty encouraged me at every appointment to hang in there and stay the course. Then, I had the choice of wearing traditional braces for about six months or Invisalign for about a year and a half. I chose to go with Invisalign, which ended up taking almost a year longer than we thought it would. If I could go back, I'd go the traditional braces route and just suffer through it for a shorter period (which was Dr. Dougherty's recommendation to begin with). After everything, I can't argue with the end results. Friends tell me that my face is totally transformed. My lawline is definitely more defined. Dr. Dougherty and the rest of the staff are so friendly and always check in with you about how you are doing at every appointment. He helped me work out a payment plan that made all this affordable for me, and listened to my concerns every step of the way. Before my appointment, no one reviewed or explained the charges for my deep cleaning. I have dual PPO insurance, and I know deep cleanings are covered, yet I was still charged a significant out-of-pocket amount. I was never informed that a laser would be used, nor that it would be an additional charge per quadrant. I assumed it was part of the standard procedure. This was never discussed or consented to prior to treatment. Even more concerning, my son and I were separated and taken to different rooms, and they proceeded to do multiple fillings on my son without ever informing me how many were needed or asking for my consent. No one came to explain the treatment plan before starting, during my own procedure, or afterward. As a parent, this is completely unacceptable. At no point was I given a clear treatment plan or cost breakdown for either of us. Despite having dual insurance coverage, I was still charged $621 out of pocket. When I asked for an itemized receipt, I was told they could not provide one, which is a huge red flag. This office feels extremely money-driven, with poor communication and questionable consent practices. I truly regret not paying closer attention to the reviews before booking here. Transparency, consent, and trust are critical in healthcare--and this office failed on all three. Please avoid this place and protect yourself and your family.
