It was my first time here while visiting from California and found Noire on Yelp and the closest nail salon near me at the time. It's a large nail bar, clean, friendly service. The nail tech worked very quickly and it felt rushed. The tech didn't say anything other than what color did I want. The leg massage was very light and I felt it could have been better. I paid $50 for the pedicure and an additional $15 for gel. I don't mind paying for service but it was very basic service, for the amount of money spent. And yes I also tipped the tech. I've been to this salon twice & both times had very negative experiences. Both techs were unfriendly & I had to repeatedly ask for typical steps to be done. The second tech was very aggressive, argumentative, & hurt me multiple times w/ the drill. My nails were not uniform, cuticles looked bad, & didnt clean underneath my nails - despite me asking for these things several times & I finally just gave up. Upon leaving the second time, I expressed to the front desk that it was not a good experience. She was very nice & we discussed coming back the following day. However, later that same day, when I called to book an appointment to come back, she treated me very differently saying I had to send pics to defend that anything was wrong w/ the service I'd received. She RUSHED my nails when her coworkers began to pack up to leave for closing at 7pm. After paying $170, I would expect for someone to take their time making sure my nails were done right & neat. Got builder gel manicure and a gel pedicure. Gel pedicure was destroyed within 4 hours. Went back the next day they had to fix three toes. After having to cancel and reschedule my flight to fix the problem, they said they wouldnt do anything about it because "they fixed it for me so that's all they can do". Wanted to go to DIP nail salon but they have limited parking. The parking lot is hella small. So I ventured down the street and noticed Noire across the street from the street Trader Joe's. I popped in for a quick pedicure. They took me immediately. It was clean, my nail tech was kind, gentle, and did great with cuticles! No pain from someone who gets ingrowns. Brian is the best hairstylist in Nashville, especially for Asian hairstyles for all genders. I found Brian 3 years ago and will never let another hairdresser touch my hair except him. I fully trust him to style my hair according to his professional artistic eyes. His brand new salon is really pretty - it is a perfectly equipped space behind the ergonomic glass sliding doors. Definitely noteworthy that he is an expert at advanced Korean perm, balayage, highlights, and Japanese straight perm. I got gel mani and Noire I regular polish pedicure and it was far from basic! My technician was fantastic, both services included a lovely massage and hot towel wrap. She probably could've been more aggressive softening big toe callous and heels but I am glad she at least got what she did. The cuticles were perfectly managed, and Lisa was very understanding when I requested no use of rotary tool. She cleaned me well after polish, my nails aren't sticking to my skin so that's a nice touch!! The place is beautiful and the idea of having it as a bar is genius! The techs get to choose to stand or sit! I think that's very very cool. There were no awful chemical odors that I could detect (unbelievable because there were others getting acrylics nearby). I've been here twice for a pedicure. Noire is clean, welcoming to walk-ins, and has plenty of parking. There's a great selection of polish colors to choose from, and the pedicure chairs are comfy. Staff is really friendly. I do wish that they paid more attention to the dead skin on my heels. My feet are always smoother when I leave, but the dead skin was definitely still there and still uncomfortable after both visits. read more

First time ever getting a pedicure and was delightfully surprised! We checked in with a minimal wait. The host sat us at our comfy massage chairs as we took off our shoes and placed our feet in the warm water. They asked about beverages and they include white or red wine as included options. So of course I enjoyed a nice red wine during the pedicure. The place is very modern looking and plenty of parking in the strip mall where they're located. Iris did a wonderful job on my dip & pedi! I'm visiting from Charlotte (recently moved from Denver, CO) and came across Noire Nail Bar based on the reviews. I walked in right at 9am today and they were able to accommodate me immediately. I wanted to take off an old set of dip and transition to a natural nail and asked for a pedi as well. She removed my old gel from my toes, too. I love that she took her time with my nails and pedicure and they turned out exactly how I wanted. The salon is very clean and the nail tech was very friendly, however spending $55 for a pedicure I expect to be in the chair longer than 25 minutes. It was very rushed and the 'massage' was minimal at best. This is my third time getting a pedicure here and will be my last. It's very close to my house so convenient, but after 3 visits with the same rushed pedicure, I'll find another salon to go to. read more

Got my nails done here 4 days ago and had to go get them completely re done at a different salon today. The salon itself is super cute and the techs are super nice. My nails ended up being much longer than I wanted, really not a big deal though, i'm not super picky. The NEXT day as I was picking up a box one broke. Get it redone that night by a different tech. The color was different which still isn't a huge deal but it also ended up being even longer than before and way too thick. Then two days later, THREE of my other nails break all on separate occasions, the same day. Not to mention, I walked out of Noire paying $90 (didn't have to soak off when I went here). I followed him here from his previous salon and been getting my hair done with him since I moved to Nashville. He does it all - from hair cut, perm, dye. All in all a serviceable Salon. But do NOT let them Book you with a tech named Tony. The rudest person who does a sub standard job. I told him what I wanted and if I asked for him to shape the nail differently he responded "I know what I am doing". Then when I was trying to look closer at my pedicure while in the chair, he got offended at me checking over his work (which was sloppy). I am 60 Years old and need a minute to actually be able to see what is going on with the dark lighting in there. I asked him to correct something and he said "next time don't ask for me". I passed 10 nail salons on my way here during rush hour and all I can think is, "Worth it!" It's worth the extra effort to get here because they put in the effort and it shows. I had to file my own nails because they couldn't file them. What a waste of time. I then went to pick up the nail polish and the top of the bottle wasn't secure and fell off and shattered on the ground splattering nail polish all over me and my shoes. The front desk person put acetone on my leather shoes and ruined them. No apology or anything to make up for this clear issue on their part so I just left. I do not recommend going here. read more

came here for the first time to get a gel pedi & hand gel. they looked really good at first but literally not even 7 days later the bottom portion of the nails started to lift up and would get caught in my hair. i paid $130 + $20 tip to trisha for the service. when i came back to try to them fixed they said i would get charged for a full set again & said because i didn't come before the 1 week mark which i couldn't make bc of work. i only got the one nail that was the most messed up fixed. the lady, lisa, that did it hurt my nail bed & cuticle w her machine. i've gotten gel nails at other places & never had this issue. serenity nail bar is 100x better. definitely will not be back here. read more

It's a nice salon but very inconsistent services. Today I made an appointment for a pedicure and a dip manicure. The pedicure was ok but I asked for the paraffin pedicure which is their most expensive one, I was given maybe a 5 minute massage in total and she didn't massage my feet at all just my legs. Afterwords she started on my dip nails, and just completely skipped the manicure part, no cuticle, no lotion, no massage. Nothing that would count as a manicure. They still tried to charge for the manicure but I spoke up so they took $10 off. I went in as a "walk in" and they were able to get me in immediately. I requested a gel mani. I've lived in downtown Nashville for 11 years and this is the worst nail place I've ever been to:( the staff is so so rude and do not respect their customers. I'm 31 years old and felt like a 10 year old being disciplined at school. They slap at your hands, snap at you to do things, don't listen to you when you ask for something (I.e. shorter nails, less speed on the nail drill, etc.). I'm not sure if they forgot these are MY hands and feet. I left with bleeding and throbbing toenail and fingernail beds. It also took 3 hours to do a regular gel pedicure and dip manicure. I came in 15 minutes before they closed because I urgently needed to get an acrylic nail removed after I hit it and it was causing me SO much pain. I knew they were closing soon but I was desperate. I told the host, "I just need my nails taken off. Even if it's just this one nail (that was in pain), I'll take that." (Plus, it was time for them to come off anyway. They had grown out a good bit. They lasted me a good amount of time). Needless to say, I am SO GLAD they helped me out and were able to take off my nails - ESPECIALLY the one that I hit and caused me pain. I've never felt compelled to post a negative review of a business but after a truly painful experience I had to post. My friend and I decided to try Noire for the first time. She had a very pleasant, skilled tech. I did not. From the beginning my nail tech was short/silent with me and seemed annoyed. Then she cut my finger while working on my cuticles. I know that can happen but when I asked her if I could go wash my hand since it was bleeding she said no. She made me sit while she finished and then let me wash them after. She was SO brutal on my fingers that they are all cut up and raw now. I'm slathering them in Neosporin bc I'm so scared they'll be infected. She didn't say a word to me aside from the no when I tried to get up. There was no massage or lotion or anything--it felt very transactional with no care or relaxation. My nails don't look any better than something I could have done myself. There's some extra polish on some and the matte coat she applied didn't cover my whole nail on all of my fingers so they look sloppy up close. The thing that bothers me most is that almost every one of my fingers is red and irritated and in some cases cut/scratched open. I'm so scared I'm going to wind up with an infection. I will definitely not be returning. read more
