All of our haircuts met expectations, and despite the line, none of us were rushed. The store -- in kin with the rest of the shops in this center-- weathered many years of service. It was clean and pleasant to pass the time while waiting. The owner/stylist engaged in casual conversation with all the customers -- frankly a customer service 101 which has gone by the wayside in modern times. The effect captures modern day small town USA -- where locally owned shops used to knit together the community. What I asked for was clearly out of this guys skill set or specialty because before starting I had given him my suggestions on what I wanted & instead of saying he couldn't do that, he told me he had been doing hair for "15years, no problem". I trusted that but having time to look at the awful lining & style he claimed to add I wound of loosing 3months of hair that just needed a touch up & styling. Now I need to get it fixed somewhere else. I would not recommend anyone go here unless you don't care all that much. If you can't do the style asked for, just say you can't do it and as a customer I would've been fine & walked away. $15 to botch someone's hair is crazy, I would've paid you $50 to be honest in the first place. I should've know better.

Of course, you might not want a Marine regulation haircut, but Gabe is skilled with all kinds of haircuts. I know, because I've seen him working on other people. And it takes him only about 10 minutes with me. I get good results every time. His shop has an old-school feel, which I appreciate. It reminds me of the old neighborhood barbershops I went to when I was young. And he'll talk if you want to have a conversation. But he'll probably finish your haircut long before you'll be able to have an in-depth discussion with him of War and Peace.

The shop was super clean and everything including the nice big TV looked brand new. And as a bonus it's connected to a really cool antique shop that I couldn't drag my wife out of. Both shops get my highest recommendations. Go see Randy--he'll take great care of you.
