Pasta was good but the pizza was great!! I still say the service was iffy, especially since it wasn't busy. They also said they were out of crab when we originally wanted the crab pasta. Dammit, Noli's. I bet the food is good, but I'll never know. From the moment we walked in, we were met with indifference and a general lack of basic hospitality. We were told to seat ourselves and opted to sit on the patio. After about 10 minutes.... the employees walked outside and LITERALLY tossed us some menus then turned and walked off. I walked in and said "Your customer service is pretty suspect, I think we're going to leave." No apology, no eye contact, no sense of urgency--just an "Okay, cool". Definitely an unwelcoming vibe. I like the Aksarben location for their parking and outdoor patio seating. We were seated immediately. I had a margarita that was just okay. Hubs had an old fashioned that was warm with no ice. The cheese bread was like a flatbread with mozzarella and Asiago, about 14 little sticks. Hubs had the grandma pie , Quattro Carne. It looked delicious but too much meat for me. I had Sugo e Polpette. They were out of spaghetti noodles but fettuccine was just as well. The sauce was a bit too thin for me but the meatballs were wonderful. Wow! I went with my husband on a Sunday night and was very impressed by the excellent customer service, the atmosphere, the live music and above all the FOOD!! It was such a treat to have live music while we ate that wasn't too loud and really set the tone. We started off with the garlic knots, bruschetta and baked Brie. Every single appetizer was delicious in its own way. The garlic knots were cooked to perfection with a nice soft interior, the baked Brie was the perfect mix of sweet, savory with a touch of spice from the meat. My favorite was the bruschetta. Each ingredient was very flavorful and fresh; I highly recommend! For our meal we te tried the Caprese pizzas which was fabulous. Similar freshness and flavor to the bruschetta. The DiManzo was our favorite with its flavor and perfect crust. We had a meat lovers pizza which was superb. The meat was cooked to perfection and mixed well with the delicious tomato sauce that could rival any Italian pizzeria. We tried a pizza with beets on it and was pleasantly surprised by how well the ingredients mixed. Clearly the owner has a hand on flavors and understand how to create delicious yet innovative pies. This was my last time here. $10 bowl of soup to go. Got home to find a container filled with literally 1/4 cup of soup. Messaged the restaurant and didn't hear back. I don't know how this place stays open bc it can't just be me?? We live nearby and have tried to dine here a few times and it's like entering the twilight zone. The people that work there behave like lazy, Zombie slobs. Are they all drunk? Staff is in and out to the back via patio door to smoke cigs constantly which makes patio dining pretty uncomfortable especially as you're being ignored by waitstaff. My daughters and I went to the Aksarben location for a girls' night out. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy. The food was great! We had the loaded French fries and shared a pizza. Our enjoyment was enhanced by the friendly, professional service we had from Ryan. He was quick to let us know that he was a huge part of the great experience we had with his warm personality and friendly vibe. The only complaint we had was that the table rocked quite a bit. If that's the only problem you have with a restaurant, then the restaurant is doing really well! Again, Ryan helped make our experience great, the food was great, the restaurant decor was great! I've had the opportunity to eat here twice (so far!) and enjoyed both times. I took my niece to dinner before she went off to college - I had the Crab Beurre Blanc and she had the Penne alla Vodka. We both liked our meals and they were generous portions. It's definitely pricier for dinner than lunch. I wish they had their lunch menu on the website. I wasn't even sure they had a separate lunch menu but my sister took me here recently for my birthday. It was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outside on the patio. We each got the slice and salad lunch special (it was $12 I think for a single topping and extra for additional). My sister got the Caesar and I opted for the MoMo's Famoso. The MoMo's poppyseed dressing really is worth writing home about! Don't know if they sell it by the bottle but they should! We also split a caprese salad. I am anxious to try the Ansel's Famous Philly next. Normally $15, it goes for $12 on Fridays (per their FB page). Noli's is so close to home, I really need to come here for often! This was one of the best experiences and best experiences ever! Carrie Jean (hopefully I remembered the name right) was one of the best people I've talked to in the food industry in a long time! She served service with a smile and heard I was sneaking away from the toddlers with their aunt and she quickly poured a beer! Got the baked Brie and the liguriano pizza. That baked Brie is out of this world. I have no other words. Spicy, tangy, crispy, savory, nutty... it fully spoiled my appetite but it was so worth it. I work nearby the Blackstone location and periodically treat myself to lunch there (or take one of their pasta luncheon specials home for dinner). I've been to the Center Street location twice now. The service staff was new both times, not an issue, they hustled to get everyone served and new orders taken. Friendly place, spoke to the owner my second time here at length. It's so much better than the chain pizza joints around town. Anyway, both times I've ordered different pizza's. I will say that both times I've been impressed, with the taste, and ingredients, I believe Noli's pizza to been on par if not better than anything I've eaten in Chicago. The only customers there were leaving when we got there. We were seated and got our drinks. An employee was going in and out of the restrooms and walking through the seating area with cleaning product and some sort of wrench at least twice. Our server walked past us at least 4 times cleaning the table that had just left before ever stopping to take our order. I ordered a Caprese appetizer and a Beet and Goat Cheese salad. My husband ordered a pizza, after about 10 minutes she brought my salad to me. Later she brought my husband's pizza and a Caprese pizza. I told her I didn't order pizza, I had ordered the appetizer. She said I didn't know we had a Caprese appetizer. At this point I told her to just forget it, I didn't want to have to wait another 10-15 minutes to get what I originally ordered. She never came to see if we wanted refills. While we were there only 2 other tables came in. One older couple who said it was their first visit there and she brought them 1 Caesar salad and they had ordered 2 small Caesar salads. The lady that was cleaning the restroom, or whatever she was doing, just stood in the bar area just on her cell phone until a cocktail order came in. When I used the restroom before we left there was someone's deodorant sitting on top of the cabinet, at least put it out of site. Trust me I will never be the restaurant again nor will I recommend it al all. read more

GARBAGE SERVICE. To go order pick up is priority over pouring alcoholic beverages for a table and socializing at the bar. Make me wait 10 MINUTES when my pizza is ready in the window. Couldve taken 30 seconds to give me my food and receipt but either lack of training or common sense stopped that. Then when the lady does finally give me my order she is the one with attitude. Zero tip was deserved but I knew the pizza would still be kinda fire, so I left a generous 15 percent. Waitress came by to take it away and clearly it had not been touched. The entrees were worse. One bite from each. Again the waitress asked if we wanted boxes. We said no. I've had their pizzas to go from their first location and it was always excellent. Last night we went to the 63rd and Center restaurant for dinner (first visit) and the free live music, and both were excellent. We loved the food! Every bite of the pizza, the salad, and appetizer was delicious and unique. The food was created with care, some from family recipes and you could tell. The menu had several items to choose from, and had many choices from starters, sandwiches, pastas, pizza, and more. The pizzas are perfectly baked in a high temp oven and the four meat topping I had, was delicious and the thick but airy crust was the absolute best. This is not chain pizza factory food, it was the best. The service was fast, friendly and everyone helped make the meal a great experience. They offered me a taste of a new wine before my order, and it was perfect for pizza. It was a cool Sunday evening and if you wanted to sit outside they had attractive LP heaters. Inside was regular seating and bar seating if you wanted to watch the game. It was spotless as far as I could tell, from the restroom to the patio floor.
