Got a late night dinner here with a friend. Located in Aksarben. Indoor seating and an outdoor patio. We split the grandma pie Classic and the Penne allá vodka pasta. Pasta was good but the pizza was great!! I still say the service was iffy, especially since it wasn't busy. They also said they were out of crab when we originally wanted the crab pasta. Pricing was pretty high too. I'd say the pizza makes up for most of it though.

I came here looking for something different, and that's exactly what I got--I loved the vibes! The atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff greeted us quickly and were friendly. However, our server wasn't very attentive after we ordered. While I understand not wanting to interrupt diners, we needed drink refills, and that just didn't happen. As for the food, I ordered the Philly cheesesteak. While it was similar to others I've had, the special sauce on it was a game-changer--so good that I'd come back just for that! I paired it with the cucumber salad, which was the perfect side if you enjoy tangy with a touch of sweet. Absolutely delicious! We also tried the mussels, and they were good too. Overall, I'd rate my experience a solid 7.5/10. The food was great, the prices were reasonable, and I'd definitely recommend checking out their lunch specials!

I like the Aksarben location for their parking and outdoor patio seating. We were seated immediately. I had a margarita that was just okay. Hubs had an old fashioned that was warm with no ice. The cheese bread was like a flatbread with mozzarella and Asiago, about 14 little sticks. Hubs had the grandma pie , Quattro Carne. It looked delicious but too much meat for me. I had Sugo e Polpette. They were out of spaghetti noodles but fettuccine was just as well. The sauce was a bit too thin for me but the meatballs were wonderful. Aside from the sauce being too watery for me it was good. The service was good. It's a nice atmosphere and looked clean

So good. NY style pizza and service. Haha. I think at least for the service or my waiter just wasn't a chatty guy. Which is fine. Never made us (me and a girl friend) feel like we needed to get out. Honestly it was perfect. We got the Liguriano in the 18" size and it was huge! We didn't order an app or salad so I thought we might eat more. Nope two slices each and we were full. It was sooo good. It's a cute small spot. Not as much character as the blackstone one but way easier parking and food was great. I shall return.

We got carry out and the food was still hot and fresh when it arrived home. Tried their spin on a Philly sandwich. Definitely not the traditional Philly but it was good. The pizza was yummy with fresh garlic! Fast and friendly service!

Caprese and meat lovers pizza

Wow! I went with my husband on a Sunday night and was very impressed by the excellent customer service, the atmosphere, the live music and above all the FOOD!! It was such a treat to have live music while we ate that wasn't too loud and really set the tone. We started off with the garlic knots, bruschetta and baked Brie. Every single appetizer was delicious in its own way. The garlic knots were cooked to perfection with a nice soft interior, the baked Brie was the perfect mix of sweet, savory with a touch of spice from the meat. My favorite was the bruschetta. Each ingredient was very flavorful and fresh; I highly recommend! For our meal we te tried the Caprese pizzas which was fabulous. Similar freshness and flavor to the bruschetta. The DiManzo was our favorite with its flavor and perfect crust. We had a meat lovers pizza which was superb. The meat was cooked to perfection and mixed well with the delicious tomato sauce that could rival any Italian pizzeria. We tried a pizza with beets on it and was pleasantly surprised by how well the ingredients mixed. Clearly the owner has a hand on flavors and understand how to create delicious yet innovative pies. I highly recommend and would go again. You can tell that every detail was thoughtfully done and each ingredient intentionally placed to create a special dining experience.

$10 bowl of soup to go. Measured 1/4 cup at home.

This was my last time here. $10 bowl of soup to go. Got home to find a container filled with literally 1/4 cup of soup. Messaged the restaurant and didn't hear back. I don't know how this place stays open bc it can't just be me?? We live nearby and have tried to dine here a few times and it's like entering the twilight zone. The people that work there behave like lazy, Zombie slobs. Are they all drunk? Staff is in and out to the back via patio door to smoke cigs constantly which makes patio dining pretty uncomfortable especially as you're being ignored by waitstaff. Once we were served refrigerated red wine that had clearly been opened a day or two before.

I've had the opportunity to eat here twice (so far!) and enjoyed both times. I took my niece to dinner before she went off to college - I had the Crab Beurre Blanc and she had the Penne alla Vodka. We both liked our meals and they were generous portions. It's definitely pricier for dinner than lunch. I wish they had their lunch menu on the website. I wasn't even sure they had a separate lunch menu but my sister took me here recently for my birthday. It was a beautiful day so we were able to sit outside on the patio. We each got the slice and salad lunch special (it was $12 I think for a single topping and extra for additional). My sister got the Caesar and I opted for the MoMo's Famoso. The MoMo's poppyseed dressing really is worth writing home about! Don't know if they sell it by the bottle but they should! We also split a caprese salad. I am anxious to try the Ansel's Famous Philly next. Normally $15, it goes for $12 on Fridays (per their FB page). Noli's is so close to home, I really need to come here for often! Looks like it's easy to order online to pick up and they have ample parking in the front and the back.

This was one of the best experiences and best experiences ever! Carrie Jean (hopefully I remembered the name right) was one of the best people I've talked to in the food industry in a long time! She served service with a smile and heard I was sneaking away from the toddlers with their aunt and she quickly poured a beer! I couldn't have asked for a better welcome while the family was at the pool at the ALoft. Walking distance from ALoft Aksarben and worth it! The venue looks great for a party or drinks after work with friends! Very comfortable and good food! I'll be back!

Patio at Noli's

Best pizza I've ever had! There was music on the patio, beautiful plants, friendly waitstaff, and prices were affordable. We were having such a good time, I think we stayed 4 hours. This will be our new favorite spot. Server said there is music every Wednesday and Sunday, and they have lunch specials- so we will be back!

Ob. Sessed. Stopped in this evening to grab some dinner. Walking in, I was blown away by the smells. It smells unreal in there. The sign said seat yourself so I headed to the bar. Got the baked Brie and the liguriano pizza. That baked Brie is out of this world. I have no other words. Spicy, tangy, crispy, savory, nutty... it fully spoiled my appetite but it was so worth it. Owner Krys was awesome and everyone was helpful and friendly. I realized after I left that I tipped less than I meant to so I'll be back to make it up to them (and drag all my friends and family there to try the baked Brie).

Chopped Wedge

Went here for a homey kind of dinner and it was supper yummy! Our server was really kind and attentive to our group for the entire dinner experience. Would recommend and come again!

FOOD : we got a few orders - but i personally ordered the gluten free pizza with cheese, basil, and banana peppers. It wasn't too greasy which i liked and it had just the right amount of flavor in all the places it needed it. I love that it was straight out of the brick oven and cooked to perfection. I got the gluten free crust because it only had olive oil, whereas the other normal gluten pizzas have a mixture of olive oil oil and soy bean oil. The pizza was light because the crust was thin, but I still prefer the double zero Italian flour over the American flour overall it was a good pizza and I enjoyed it, however, still probably not in my top favorites for omaha! The table at large really enjoyed their pizzas, I think if you just want a quick basic pizza that's good and better than going to a fast food spot, this is a good choice, but if you're looking for high quality ingredients with local sourcing, this isn't it. Alas, it was still really good and we enjoyed our food! SERVICE : it definitely gave a mom and pop feel, we had exceptionally kind Service and really enjoyed the people that we met. They were extremely helpful and made it feel homey! ATMOSPHERE : Very much so a hole in the wall - I'm not going to lie, I was a bit turned off by the ceilings and the cleanliness of the place. I get a little bit freaked out when it comes to atmosphere / food so this was a bit of a downfall for me!

Pizza Quest -- Episode 3: Built with Love…read more The campaign continues. Next stop: Piezon's Pizzeria a neighborhood stronghold with a robust menu that offers plenty of choices without feeling overwhelming. For this session, I picked up: One slice of the Oh Mio Dio One slice of the Mahalo with jalapeños The standout of the encounter was the Oh Mio Dio. The combination of fiery chicken and cream cheese landed exactly where I like my pizza builds to be--bringing the perfect balance of heat and coolness in every bite. The Mahalo took a different path. Built with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and cream cheese, it already offers a unique take on a Hawaiian-style pizza. Adding jalapeños gave it just enough kick to complement the sweet and savory flavors without overwhelming them. I can see why it's my wife's favorite. The menu itself deserves credit. There's a lot to choose from, but it never feels complicated. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a first-time visitor, finding your next slice feels straightforward. What stuck with me most, though, was the atmosphere. The walls are filled with stories and adventures drawn by kids, while pizza trays signed by Husker fans cover the space with messages and memories. Everywhere you look, there's evidence that people care about this place and that this place cares about its community. Mootz isn't just the best pizza place in Omaha, it's in the running for the best Omaha restaurant…read morePERIOD! I was blown away by every aspect of Mootz. Get ready for a novel of a review! I warned you... The exterior of Mootz is basically the same as all of Countryside Village (which is probably a requirement), but the inside is a different story! The interior is all white and bright, and super clean. They really let the food and service do the talking without needing to dress the place up (which I appreciate!) The star of the show is their Acunto brick oven. It's gigantic, with white tile, and their Mootz name at the top. They had it made in Naples and it was definitely worth doing that for this amazing centerpiece of the space. And the oven is not just for looks, it puts out some of the best pizza I have ever had. I am not usually a fan of pizza crust, and only eat the main "body" of each slice, but at Mootz, even the dough and crust is flavorful and tasty! It has a salty and (super) semi-sweet flavor. It makes each slice all the better. That's just an example of how much they obviously care about the product they are producing. We got to chat with many of the staff, including Mootz himself, his dad, and others, who were all extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful. My husband and I are doing the ABCs of Omaha restaurants we haven't been to yet, and Mootz was our M pick. We didn't plan to tell them that's what we were doing, but when two people are ordering two whole pizzas, there's a little bit of explanation needed - LOL! Once they knew that was what we were doing, they made sure to help us pick the slices to try that they loved best, and based on what we were craving. What's great about Mootz is that you can order just a single slice of a certain flavor, or get a full pie of different flavored slices. Because of this, we were able to try 8 different flavors of pizza! We ordered slices of the Buffalo Chicken, Cheeseburger, Chicken Alfredo, and Jalapeño Oaxaca for one pizza, and then the second pie we did a lot of the normal pizza flavors, so slices of the Cheese, Pepperoni, Supreme, and Margherita. They were ALL fantastic (and I am not exaggerating), but our favorites were the Cheeseburger, Buffalo Chicken, Margherita, and Jalapeño Oaxaca. I'm a cheeseburger girlie and I achingly missed the Cheeseburger Pizza that Pizza Shoppe (RIP) used to have. But no more missing that flavor - the Mootz version is so great, it has satiated that craving! The Buffalo Chicken was BOMB! Not too spicy of a buffalo at all, and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. They make their own Ranch too, and the Buffalo Chicken dipped in that was perfection. (And in mentioning the house made ranch, we also had a side salad that we shared, with that ranch, and it was awesome - very well dressed and with lots of veggies!) The Jalapeño Oaxaca was a fave because I appreciated the heat that the jalapeño gave, and the crema on top giving it a creaminess that counterbalanced the spiciness. The surprise of the day was the Margherita! I normally don't order Margherita pizza just because it's not too full of toppings or flavor usually - but that's not the case at Mootz. The dough being so flavorful works wonderfully with their delicious pizza sauce, basil, and SO much cheese (parm, Romano, mozzarella). It's a lighter slice if you aren't wanting anything too heavy, but that doesn't mean it's not big on flavor! And to round out the meal, they have some awesome desserts too. We tried the tiramisu and the chocolate chip cookies. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert, but my husband on the other hand does not super enjoy it (since he's not a coffee lover). But we BOTH loved the tiramisu at Mootz! It comes in a little cup and it's almost "crumbled" (vs layered, like a normal tiramisu slice), which gives each bite a little bit of each layered flavor. Yum! The chocolate chip cookies were on point too; chewy, sweet, soft, and definitely homemade. We made a great decision to try Mootz for our M restaurant, because it was so dang amazing. I definitely recommend you go here for your next night out, immediately, right now! Do it!
