The food was ordered and delivered in just the right amount of time as the salad was finished! When the entrées came, every dish was Super! Especially the Spicy Marinara Sauce, as it is a true fan favorite!!!!! I personally loved the Chicken and Broccoli with Alfredo, with a bit of Cheddar on top! Though The lasagna had me at lasagna! Came here with our 13u travel ball team, so we had a big group for dinner. Our server Kelly was very helpful when she helped us move from the back room to the front of the restaurant. She also split the check for each player and their family and stopped by several times to check on us and refill our drinks. As for the food, it was good Italian food, but nothing too spectacular. The salad was actually really good as the salad bar had numerous toppings to choose from. I got the chicken parm and it was good. Big piece of chicken and it went nicely with the side of spaghetti. People in our group got different items like the chicken Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and lasagna and they all liked their meals. I love coming to Spaghetti Works. Is it the best pasta you'll ever have? No. Is it good though and does it come with bottomless refills and salad bar? Yes. The salad bar is great - loads of fresh veggies and other sides like cottage cheese and pasta salad to load up your plate. Then the bottomless pasta... choose your pasta, choose your sauce, (my go-to is Hot Naked and Spicy Marinara), and mix and match to your heart's content. I honestly didn't expect to get seated right away at a packed downtown spot, but we walked right in! The food and service were totally on point. They have an awesome build-your-own salad bar, and the garlic bread starters were so good. We got the Clam Strips and the Lobster Sensation, and I also built my own pasta combo with Spicy Italian, red clam, livers, and mushrooms. "The salad bar is good" seems to be the overwhelming theme of reviews of Spaghetti Works and I would agree. It feels a bit like a lower end knock off of a Spaghetti Factory without the charm or much flavor in the food. It's serviceable and probably good for families but outside of the salad bar I would probably skip it if I was in town again. read more

We've been fans for years when it first opened in the old market. Recently my husband and we were invited by my best friend for a fund raiser. Nothing has changed except the menu has more options. We went to the Ralston location which was busy but wait time was minimal. Our favorite is their salad bar with so many great options to choose from all you can eat but save room for one of their pasta options. My go to is red clam and half hot naked. I paid top dollar for a basic salad bar, frozen meatballs, and canned sauce. The quality and quantity of the food served did not justify the premium price and I felt ripped off. That said, the service was absolutely superior and the location and ambiance were spot on. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce entree for about $14. It included bread, one trip to the salad bar and "boundless bowl" of pasta which means unlimited bowls. The salad bar was very good with variety toppings including potato salad, pasta salad, carrots , cucumbers , cottage cheese etc. The pasta bowls were medium sized but other reviews fail to mention you can have free refills of your pasta entree . I think it's a great option for families and if you are looking for a less expensive option for food in the old market area and great for if you are hungry. I hadn't been to Spaghetti Works downtown in several years, and today's visit was a real disappointment. The biggest issue was the "meat" sauce. It contained so little meat that I genuinely thought I'd been served marinara by mistake. Several people at my table saw me picking through the sauce looking for meat and said they'd also thought I'd received the wrong order. When I mentioned it to our waitress, she immediately knew what I was referring to. She said she would bring me a small dish of the meat sauce but assured me that I had already been served the correct sauce. She returned with a side of it, and it looked exactly the same. It was an acidic, chunky tomato sauce with so little ground beef that it was difficult to tell it apart from marinara. I wish I'd taken a picture because it looked nothing like the older photos of the meat sauce posted here on Yelp. My meal was $14.79 for what felt like a small portion of angel hair pasta topped half with the meat sauce and half with Cajun Alfredo; a couple tablespoons each. For the price, I expected substantially better quality. My daughter ordered the $13.79 gluten-free noodles with Hot Naked Sauce, which was described as rice noodles with sweet basil, olive oil, butter, and garlic. There wasn't a trace of basil, no visible minced garlic, and we're not even convinced there was butter. It tasted like plain noodles tossed with olive oil, salt, and maybe a little garlic powder. By the end of the meal, we both wished we'd just ordered the salad bar. At nearly $14, it wasn't inexpensive either, but it at least appeared to offer more variety and some protein. Unfortunately, this wasn't the Spaghetti Works either my daughter or I remembered. Between the tiny amount of meat in the meat sauce, the bland Hot Naked Sauce, the small sauce portions, and the prices, the meal simply didn't feel like a good value and ruined all nostalgia. read more

Good location in the heart of the Old Market. The pasta is nothing special but they do offer a large variety of sauces and there are unlimited options, all at reasonable prices. Stopped in on a Friday night at 6pm expecting a wait, we were seated right away and greated promptly and ... because we've been here so many times we ordered immediately! Salad bar was okay.. lettuce seemed a little old and it was quite messy, but I believe they came to tidy it up right after we went through so we may have just come through after a big rush. We both had angel hair pasta, my daughter got beer cheese- I prefer a beer cheese/hot naked melody. We were seated right away and despite the restaurant being packed for Monday night kids-eat-free, the service was reasonable and friendly. Is this a date night caliber restaurant- no. Part of the experience is choosing your pasta and the cause and toppers, so if you don't like what you got you can always try something new. I went to dinner with a big group and we went to this restaurant and most of them ordered the chicken alfredo, it took around 2 hours to come and the food was pretty good, but it wasn't good enough to take 2 hours. Adding onto that a dad on the team ordered a beer and it took 30 minutes for someone to say they didn't have it. Then he ordered a different beer and that one took 45 minutes for someone to say they didn't have. He decided to go to the bar and serve himself another different kind of beer. My family visited spaghetti Works on a Saturday night. It was very busy, but we still had great service. Loved the salad bar. Both of my kids enjoyed their food. My husband and I both got pasta with choice of sauce. My first sauce was the creamy pesto, which I honestly did not love, it was not well seasoned, and didn't seem to have a lot of flavor. My husband got the Cajun Alfredo and really enjoyed it. My second sauce was the original meat sauce and it was much better. The garlic bread was great. Spaghetti Works is all about charm, but that's about where it stops. The prices are great, although we are in Nebraska. The food is incredibly mid but it worked for my immense hangover. Salad bars scare me and this one is no different. I don't know if I've been to a restaurant with one in well over a decade but I avoided it due to the volume of children. As for the service, the waitress was so rude and not just to us but everyone she came in contact with.
