Went in with my wife and daughter to return a shirt we bought on 11/30 and learned about their 15 day return policy. Would have been happy and asked for a store credit but was told 15 days no exceptions. My daughter was trying on some other clothes but we left after the denial of a return. Not expecting a big retailer long return policy but how can you purchase anything at this store as a present or for someone not with you. Liked the store but will not be back. read more

Went into this shop on Sunday with my wife and another couple. A great selection of unique women's clothing, shoes, hats, jewelry, etc. The owner, Alli, does all of the purchasing and she's got an eye. Both my wife and our friend Lisa purchased a number of items...reasonable in price and as I said, unique. The shop has been open for just a year, but she's making a real success out of it. This is a very nice fashion boutique, it is the best in Truckee in my opinion. They usually always have on trend clothing and accessories at reasonable prices -not overpriced- which I definitely appreciate for it being a boutique in Truckee. Super disappointed! I bought my friend in Davis 3 pairs of pants I love from Nomad. I asked the cashier before purchasing if I could return if they were the wrong size. She said I could receive store credit no problem and make the exchange. When I realized the color was blue and not black, I told my friend I would exchange them for her. I went back in today and was told they have a strict 15 day rule and since it had been 3 weeks, I was stuck with the pants. Really frustrating when the pants have never even been tried on and I was told I could exchange for store credit when I purchased. Cute store with nice selections, just be fully aware of their strict policy before making a purchase. read more

Finally, a place in Truckee that has clothes that appeal to a wide range of sizes, age, style. It was so refreshing to step into this space that's been created by Alli Schultz. So much to choose from and the shop has been built in such a cool style, it made shopping there really enjoyable. Alli was able to look at my frame and gently me steer me away from items that didn't work and dressed me in 3 outfits that I have been wearing practically everyday. I appreciated her sensitivity in helping me! The clothes I purchased are so comfy, well made and they fit me perfectly. Last but not least, the price point is the best I've seen in the downtown area. My friends who still live in Truckee are stopping in weekly because of the new items that keep coming in. Can't wait to come back! read more

I visited no mod boutique last weekend and bought a romper that did not have any cleaning instructions on that. I always wash my clothing before wearing it and did the same with this item. I have found this romper shrunk completely and became unwearable. I called the boutique immediately and try to reconcile the fact that the item was new and did not have a new washing instructions on that. I ask for a store credit or a refund and was told that I should've known not to wash it.I feel it's unfair that it's a implied that the item should've been dry cleaned if there were no instructions that says dryclean only. I would never shop again at this boutique and wanted to warn others that the clothes they're selling do not have instructions and therefore make it difficult to decide how to clean them. The girl I spoke with told me that they were a small business and there is nothing they could do. I appreciate the fact that there's more business but specifically because of that they should have a better customer service than some of the larger corporately owned stores. Buyer beware! read more
