It had so many different flavors and textures, and somehow they all worked perfectly together. The waiter also suggested mixing everything together before taking the first bite, which I really appreciated. The ambiance was super cute, with a cozy little tiki-bar vibe inside, and they also have a few outdoor tables. The service was exceptional throughout. This is an easy 5-star review from me.

To eat I got the tomato soup with a grilled cheese, which was absolutely fantastic. The soup was so creamy and flavorful, and I cannot imagine a better meal after spending all day walking outside in the rain. The fries were super crispy and I liked the batter. My partner and I shared some of their breadsticks, which were deliciously baked (fresh!) and came with a super refreshing basil crema and a nice tomato-y dip. Wonderful all. My partner ordered fish and chips, and was surprised to find that it is one large fillet of fish, not multiple pieces like you would typically expect. He said the fish was fine, but a little tough. I live up on Mount Hood so when I do go into Portland, I really try to be particular where I eat because I don't get as many opportunities as I would like. This will definitely be one of my go to meals. It says a lot because my go to is always fresh ramen, sushi, or Thai food. My friend dates will probably really appreciate that I've added a little variety. :)

My friend ordered the curry soup, but it seemed more like a curry that you pour over rice since it was served with rice and no noodles -- not sure what the deal was there. The bite I tried was tasty at least. All in all, a solid all-vegan no-frills spot for Vietnamese in the east part of the city.

The menu is mostly small plates and they recommend 2 to 3 dishes per person. We ordered five total. I ordered the jicama salad, octopus and snapper-- all of the items were delicious and there was nothing left on my plate.
