Come this place from Seattle. Ordered tofu chow mein, and sesame balls. Omg so cheap and delicious,we pay just 13.50. In Seattle will be cost 20. Cool outside seating space especially with warm weather. Just one concert waiting need 20-25 minutes and workers very bad speaking English didn't understand us at all,but for food is Unaffected. Thanks was very delicious

Can't believe I've never been here! We got the sichuan tofu, beef noodle and pot stickers. Everything was so good and flavorful! I wish this place was on Uber Eats or something. Definitely will go back to try the other items! Was hard to choose.

The food here is SO good if I could come here everyday I would. Anytime I am in Sellwood it's a must that I stop here and order a veggies dish... or 5!!

Came here after reading all the good reviews! Now THIS is vegetarian food done right. It's not a place that advertises on being vegetarian where you see one or two veggies in your food. I had to absolutely count how many veggies were in my curry tofu with veggies-- zucchini, mushroom, bok choy, green bean, carrot, onion, cauliflower, broccoli smothered in a silky smooth curry sauce.

I told her so does my coffee maker, but nobody hangs it on a chain around their neck . While she was inside holding rocks, I wandered on down the street to a parking lot and found a food truck. The man working there had a nice scruffy look, like he'd just come from maybe fixing an old truck that still runs on stubbornness. I asked him for "a whole bowl " and he said "Gotcha" andsmiled in a way that made me think he understood exactly what I needed. He handed me something hot, fragrant, and a little too big for one person, which was perfect. It had some sauce that made me hum a bit without realizing it. I sat at a little bench next to the truck, watching cars go by and feeling like I was in a scene from a movie where nothing dramatic happens but you still remember it for years . When my granddaughter came back with a bag of stones, I offered her a bite, but she said she wasn't hungry. Later that night, she asked if there were leftovers. There weren't Thank you .

The food was so good it made my day; adding tempeh to the mighty bowl with the garlic and tahini sauce is so good. 10/10 recommend. The real reason I came to write this review though is because staff is super sweet and genuine. It was my first time coming here, and I had a lot of questions about the menu to the point where I could feel myself becoming annoying (face palm). The gal taking my order was Jessi, she was so helpful, kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and authentically friendly. I can't remember what it was that we shared a laugh about, but I walked away happy because of that type of simple interaction that restores your faith in humanity. People who have never worked in the service industry are generally clueless and walk into a restaurants like it's their first day on earth. But even with my string of annoying questions, she never once made me feel like I was being a nuisance. Whoever is in charge here you should give Jessi a raise. The food is great, but she's the reason I'll be coming back!

I ordered for pickup myself and picked up less than 10minutes After I placed the PU order. That's the whole reason I said they were "exceptionally fast" in my original review. The ambiance was cool and the service was exceptionally fast. Unfortunately both items I ordered were gross. I love chocolate and peanut butter together esp with coffee but their drink was inedible with an awful taste. Maybe they gave me almond butter by mistake. Woof I couldn't even force it down. The quesadilla was incredibly greasy and nothing like a quesadilla. The mouth feel of the walnut chorizo with the soft vegetables was weird / it felt gritty. The flavors fell as well. The only highlight was the salsa but I'm 90% sure it was salsa de welo which you can buy at a store. No one would finish my quesadillas at the table. Major miss for me. Some of the worst food I've had - sorry.

The Pandan colada had a distinct pandan taste which blended so harmoniously with the pineapple and coconut flavor! It was so creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. I also made sure to let the owner know how delicious it was and that it needs a permanent space on the menu! For food, we got the Nam Khao Tod and the Drunken Noodles. The Nam Khao Tod was amazing - sweet, tangy, and crispy all at the same time! But I would have to say that I didn't really care for the drunken noodles as they were a bit too sweet for me. To finish off our meal we got their famous Pandan Mango Sticky Rice which totally lived up to the hype! The mango was so sweet and juicy (just like how we get them in India) and the pandan sticky rice was perfectly chewy and so flavorful! Honestly, I can't wrap my head around the fact that I was able to find so many of my favorite ingredients at one place - would come back here in a heartbeat if I find myself in Portland again!

Over the years I've eaten here in a pinch while working across the street and I can say it's not the best but it's not terrible whatsoever. My BB standards are different though, and I'm looking for more of a 50/50 egg-to-filling ratio, with more emphasis on the protein. So for me it's a thumbs down on this particular item. But don't get me wrong - I love Los Gorditos' other burritos (Chicken Tinga's my fave) and tacos. Those I've had are awesome, nicely seasoned with good fillings, and just huge - as my previous review discussed. The folks at the counter are always warm and all those different salsas they have out just elevate your meal even more. In sum, very solid Mex food at decent prices and large proportions - but a no-go on the breakfast burritos.

I really like the individual hot pot concept. You get to pick exactly what you want--vegetables, meat, seafood, noodles, and other ingredients--then choose your own soup base. The experience is a little like Mongolian barbecue because you select your own ingredients, but instead of grilling them, everything is cooked in your personal hot pot. The price is based on the weight of the ingredients you choose. It's also similar to traditional Chinese hot pot, except everyone gets their own pot instead of sharing one. I actually prefer this because everyone can enjoy a different soup base and customize their meal without having to compromise. I ordered the No. 6 spicy dry pot (without broth) and chose the mild spice level. It had a nice kick without being overwhelmingly spicy. My husband chose the tomato soup base, which had a rich, delicious flavor. He practically finished the entire bowl of broth and commented that it felt like such a healthy, comforting meal with all the vegetables he added. Overall, we had a great dining experience. The food was flavorful, the staff were friendly and attentive, and we loved the fun, customizable dining concept. We'll definitely be coming back and would happily recommend Big Hey Hot Pot to anyone looking for a delicious and unique hot pot experience.
