Came here for dinner tonight after an entire day of cave surveying. We were all hungry and our group leader suggested this restaurant, so we all agreed. Place is a non assuming family style Italian restaurant and family is originally from Sicily. As soon as we walked in, owner of the restaurant knew our group leader and chatted him up about a clean up of a popular cave nearby (that event was years ago) and our group leader was pleasantly surprised she remembered him. I'm not surprised, Ray is an awesome guy. But kudos to the owner for the TLC. We all had separate checks and we ordered pizzas, an alfredo and 2 veggie calzones. My calzone was delicious and nothing like a good meal after a days of hard physical and mental work! We enjoyed our dinner and we will be back when in the area! read more

Wonderful experience! Welcoming, warm, enjoyable! Everything served like you were in your family's home. We had chicken parm, raviolis, lasagna and pizza plus a cannoli. Perfect! This place is cozy and the wait staff is excellent. We had the ravioli frittata for an appetizer which was outstanding. My wife got the raviolis with Alfredo sauce which was excellent. I got the chicken parmesan. The spaghetti was great, the chicken was not to my liking. I would not order it again. I don't know if it was a bad piece of chicken, or I just didn't like they way it was cooked. We do plan to go back, but I will avoid the meat. I'd stick to the pasta dishes which smell and look amazing. The pizza also looks good, so I may give that a try. read more

Nonna Maria's is an amazing place to go if you are in the Oracle area. My wife and I went to checkout Arizona Zipline Adventure. After spending an hour checking out Arizona Zipline Adventures, we headed home to Oro Valley. I remembered that we ate at an Italian restaurant some 15 years ago by the name of Nonna Maria's in Oracle, I remember the pizza, was great, but much to my surprise the restaurant relocated to 2161 Rockcliff Blvd. We both ordered Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti , came with a salad and bread. Wow the meal was delicious and the prices are reasonable, but the best part of Nonna's is their staff, are waitress Jessika was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely keep coming to this place when passing through the area! read more

I really get a chuckle from the few reviews that in my mind are overly harsh. It seems this great restaurant suffers from having great service, great ambiance and a scenic location, as well as very good food, and outstanding people for owners. I guess this is what leads a few visitors to expect it to be a Michelin Star place located in Italy. However, I'll "settle" for all of the above mentioned great attributes and continue to make the 40 minute drive up to Oracle now and then to enjoy it. We used to live nearby, but relocated. Yet we still visit Oracle now and then as the tiny interesting town actually has a number of very good eating spots. That should tell you something. read more

Worst lasagna I have ever had--give me Stouffers over this one anytime. I think my piece came out of the freezer, because it wasn't quite hot all the way through. The cheese was "off" somehow--it's hard to explain how. There was meat and sausage sort of falling off the top--gawd, it was awful. The salad dressing was way too sweet, the wine was "meh"--overall, a very disappointing experience. I was super poor at the time and had scrimped and saved my pennies to take myself out for just one special meal. What a disappointment! read more

The stars are for location and views, nothing more. I had the chicken alfredo and was really disappointed. The chicken was barely warm yet a bit burnt which ruined the flavor. The sauce was just meh, as was the pasta. My wife had the chicken parm and was very disappointed by the marinara. The bread was hard and tasted stale. I've been fortunate enough to actually eat in Italy, and this was anything but comparable. The views are amazing because Oracle is a beautiful town and I really wanted this little place to be as good as it looks, but this is subpar Italian food plain and simple. read more

We really like this place for good, basic Italian food. Spaghetti and meat balls come with a nice rich sauce and large meat balls. My wife loves their Chicken Alfredo. Florence Senior Center stopped there yesterday 9/26/2015 for dinner. A party of 12, waitresses were efficient and service was great and prompt. Food was good, although my chicken parmesan was overdone, spaghetti was hot and sauce very good. Piano player entertained us during our dinner. Very clean, cloth tablecloths, but paper napkins. Overall, a great restaurant to have dinner with friends. We had a beautiful sunset from the dining area. read more

My husband and I were very excited to hear that there was a family owned Italian restaurant located close to Saddlebrooke. However we will not return. We were treated inappropriately and disrespectfully. The take it or leave it attitude after waiting more than an hour for our food is inexcusable. When our food finally arrived it was not what we ordered. When I suggested that the burned pasta dish I received be replaced, I was offered more sauce to "cover the burned parts". I was incredulous to say the least. This was our first dining experience of this caliber in the Tucson area. It was truly horrible and spoiled our date night. read more

Whenever I'm in the Tuscon area, I make it a point to stop there. I like their pizza a lot, and they have the best home made coleslaw I've ever had. Their homemade french fries are very good. But I do think they should expand their menu. I'm originally from Memphis. Memphis has the best deep fried southern squirrel lasagne. It would be nice if they would add it to their menu. My husband and I used to go here at least 3 times a month. There were a few little things that bothered us every now and then (pasta wouldn't have the things on it the menu stated and such). But we loved the friendly staff and didn't mind the prices too much. All that changed when we went in with our 2 children for dinner. All started off normally enough we placed our order joked with our waitress. About 10 mins after we placed our order a HUGE party of about 14 people came in. The owner came out and took our waitress and assigned them to the new table gave us a new waitress who promptly forgot all about us. 45 mins later the pizza my husband and children ordered came out, the salad that came with my pasta had still not appeared. About 10 minutes after that finally my salad came out. When I asked if my pasta would be out soon the waitress got defensive and was rude. By the time my pasta came out (chicken alfredo NOT a time consuming dish) the rest of my family was done eating and we had been at the establishment for WELL over an hour. I asked for a box to take my dinner home in so my family wouldn't have to sit there for a half hour watching me eat and tried to pay the bill. The owner was very rude to my husband when he went up to pay. She acted as though she wished we would just get out because she had a big ticket table that was going to make her more money than us. So we did her a favor and did just that. We have never returned. We went from spending between 200 and 500 dollars there a month to nothing. We have never been so mad at restaurant before the way we were treated simply because we came in a few minutes before a big party was awful!!! I would give 0 stars if I could!!!! read more
