I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I was pretty let down by my order from Nonna's. I was really craving pizza and saw they had great reviews on DoorDash--over 500 reviews and a 4.8-star rating--so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I ordered two pizzas and mozzarella sticks. The classic cheese pizza didn't have much flavor and didn't taste very fresh. The chicken francese pizza just didn't work for me--the flavors didn't really go together, the crust was dry, and it had a weird bitter taste. The mozzarella sticks were probably the biggest disappointment. The cheese inside wasn't even melted, so it just felt like breaded cheese straight out of the fridge. Since it was delivery, I can't speak on the actual service or dining experience--maybe it's better in person, but based on this order, especially for the price, I'd probably try somewhere else next time. read more

5 of us dined at Nonna's Grille last night. All 5 of us really enjoyed our food! The Mexican/Italian hybrid menu was cool; and there was also "American" food as well. I had the carne asada torta planchada and it was seriously phenomenal. I'm not a mayo or jalapeño fan so I omitted those but the flavors were amazing. It was also huge - I was totally full after half! Fries were crispy and delicious as well. My daughter ordered pizza and loved it. Some other entrees ordered included a fried chicken quesadilla, a burrito, and the lasagna. Everyone was very happy with their meal. Good food served hot and fresh. I ordered the chicken parm entree and received the Italian wedding soup that tasted like it was just made. Great broth with fresh spinach/escarpment in it. Our friend had the sausage with peppers and onions over pasta. I had a taste and it was also very fresh and delicious. My chicken parm was so good! It seriously tasted like they just made it fresh. Woooooow!!! That's all I can say! I've tried Italian dishes all over--even in the motherland, Italy--and this definitely ranks up there among the best. I had the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti, and it was absolutely delicious. My wife tried the chicken francese and said it was amazing. The price is the best part! I couldn't believe it when they told me the total. For two generously sized meals (we even had leftovers), two fresh salads, Italian bread, and two tiramisu, the total came to just $53! The Best kept secret in Northfield! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is the best bang for the buck. Probably tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Wings are the best with any of the sauces they offer. Our favorite is the chicken Franchise dinner, can't beat the price and the portion. Definitely recommend. read more

Saw that Nonna's Grille opened a while ago and figured we would give them a try. Had a menu that was delivered with our mail. They list themselves as a Mexican & Italian. We grabbed white pizza (topped with fresh ricotta and mozzarella cheese), Birria (which was a braised beef, que so with a side of consome- tortas planchadas) and a side of rice balls. Pizza was vary basic. Nothing special. Store bought would have been better. Rice balls have no idea what was on the inside. There's no description so no clue what was inside. Didn't even look like rice? No flavor. The Birria my son said tasted very good and authentic! He was pleased. Maybe we may try other things. But definitely not the Italian side of the menu. Inside was clean and you can eat there if you want. No food on display in the cabinets. Service was fast since there was no customers. read more

Recently tried their menu for take out. Delivery was prompt and accurate. Driver was friendly and made sure the order was correct before leaving. I cannot comment on ambiance as I was not there. As far as food goes, it was filling. The meatball parm sub was huge and a value for its size. My wife loved the empanadas and something else she ordered which was based on something called aloha sauce. It's not for the faint of stomach- oh wow! Super hot and spiced but very good. They have a good kids menu and my 1-year old granddaughter loved their French fries and cheese ravioli. And the portion was big! If there is one "negative" it is that their meatballs on my sub were not obviously unique or homemade. However, when they fall off the bread with every bite, you got a bargain and that could be overlooked. Overall, not bad! I would most definitely give them a second try. read more
