    Nonno's Pizza
    Aruna K.

This Pizzeria is located at Terminal C, Brewster Road inside the airport. Being a Pizza fan myself- the food ordered consisted of Margarita Pizza, the mixed vegetable fritters and a chocolate cake to end it with. Food came out pretty quick. The simple pizza was warm and just the right amount of crispy. The fritters were just soo good. Must try. Dessert was from the chocolate lovers dream kitchen- which I personally am not, but was devoured by my partner. Ambiance is neat and a little noisy considering it is inside the airport. The waiter did not take long to understand our vegetarian needs and suggested the fritters - happy we took the suggestion. I do want to try their Vegetable balls with seasoned greens which is from a speciality part of menu called Nonno's way. Open from 5 am , a good place to stop for breakfast too.

Pepperoni Pizza (served dine-in in a pizza box)

For a long time, I've been pretty let down by the dining at Newark airport. Tonight I went to Nonna's and was pretty impressed. Highlights: a host took me to a table, my server was attentive and helpful, app ordering - while less personal - was easy, food was decent and I was allowed to linger as long as I wanted. Even the prices seemed less wild than in years past. I got a pepperoni pizza and a tiramisu. Pizza might have been a 'little' underdone, but the size was enormous for the price ($23). Tiramisu was pretty good and a fair value too at $9. Love that the iPads are gone from all of these restaurants. I think OTG also got the message that customers are expecting some service at this price point. From what I saw, they're now delivering -- and it's greatly appreciated. I would definitely come back.

Avocado Toast with bacon, and potatoes

Great breakfast spot right before our flight. I ordered the Avocado Toast with a sunny side up egg, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. Everything came out perfectly cooked and delicious. It was a nice breakfast before our long flight. Contactless ordering, quick service, overall a good experience. Nice diner type setting.

    The rare burger order

Do not stop here, I am not one to put a place on blast but this has to be done. I ordered a rare cheese burger and the margarita pizza. The burger was well done, the bacon was burnt and the pizza was cold and not room temperature it was cold. And since you have to pay ahead of time there really is no recourse, tip was already processed with the QR payment. I am a tipper, the service has to be horrible for me not to tip. I did talk with one of the servers and she was very apologetic but the only thing they could offer was to get the manager but we needed to catch a flight. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. For a price of $65 for this meal I was beyond disappointed.

Only one woman on the wait staff truly prioritizes customer service. Unfortunately, the others appear indifferent; they don't smile, fail to greet you upon arrival, and give the impression that your patronage is more of a burden than a benefit. That said, if you can overlook the lackluster service, the food itself is quite good. During the time we sat at the table, the wait staff only came out front behind the counter when they needed to drop off food. They did not check up on customers. You're required to pay by a QR code when you order and the link automatically adds a 18% tip. You can adjust the tip, but I would suggest that you not tip until after.

Perfectly cooked pasta. "Everything is homemade," Angelo explained later. Smart and fairly well-priced wine list. We asked why the 2020 Carparzo Brunello di Montalcino was so low priced, and learned the wine has been priced the same since their father closed their Upper East Side location and the kids opened in Newark. "New York food at NJ prices," Angelo explained. "I've never had tiramisu I've liked better", husband told me. "I've never had flan Ive liked better" I told him. (It is coconut flan.) Great service. Wonderful spot. And Bon Jovi has been in twice, most recently he brought his wife. Enough said.

The food is probably the closest you can get to actual Spanish tapas but what i love most about this place is that everythings got flavorrrrr For our table of 4 we got CROQUETAS with their house cured chorizo- very good POLLO FIORENTINA- chicken was so tender and packeddd with flavor! BARRIGUITA- plentiful serving for a tapa, we loved the potatoes it came with too CHICHARRON DE POLLO- flavorful chicken and easier to eat than you think TARTAR- delish but small Chipirones- sooo delicately breaded you can barely tell, was great COSTILLA A LA PLANCHA- plentiful for a tapa, we recommend cooking for longer since its traditionally a tough cut of beef SAUTED VEGETABLES- tastey and not mushy thankfully! MILLIONAIRE CAIPIRINHA for my drink. was soooo good, not too sweet and not quite as sour as a margarita, was perfect for me!

The food was absolutely amazing really flavorful and well done. Just be a little prepared that most dishes come in smaller portions. But the quality definitely makes up for it. I ordered the paella, and it's easily enough for two or even three people and it was well worth it. Really delicious. The drinks were also definitely worth trying while you're there. The only thing I wasn't big on was the desserts they didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal. But overall, great atmosphere, excellent food, and a fun experience. I'd definitely come back.

So, I decided to give it a try for dinner. They don't accept reservations. I arrived around 6:30 pm on a Friday to avoid crazy wait times, but still had to wait ~40 minutes. It didn't feel very long since the waiting area has a mobile wine/beer bar outside & you're able to order drinks from the restaurant as well while you wait. I didn't come with kids, but I saw a lot of families waiting. It was a kid friendly space. The inside was quite dim & it kept getting dimmer as the night progressed. I didn't love this, but it didn't bother me as much either. Pizza was delicious, and the bread tasted very fresh. The pictures show an individual pizza size, which we were told might not be big enough to share, but we made it work amongst 3 girls. Service was fast - I assume since they're trying to free up tables quickly. I'd recommend going at a non-peak time if you don't like to wait, but definitely worth a try even if for takeout!
