I mean this from the bottom of my heart. Chucks pizza has fell off. Pure disgusting. I ordered thin crust beef mushroom extra sauce because I figured it wouldn't have any on the pizza. First I called them immediately because I was eating it on the way home. I want to puke. Sauce no flavor, beef meat no flavor. Bread tasted half done. Oh my then I found a long piece of hair in the pizza. I use to love chucks, I have not been there in 4 months. We ordered online at 4:45pm for a 6pm pick-up. We get there a little after 6pm and were told it wasn't ready. Around 6:15 we were told "about 5 minutes", we finally walked out with our pizza at 7pm. We could hear them arguing about giving a pizza order to wrong customer. We have to assume from the amount of wait time that they had to remake the order. I would have appreciated someone telling us what happened and apologizing for the extended wait time. But that did not happen, nor did they offer us anything for the hour wait time on top of the original hour before we arrived. What once was not good now IS GREAT! We had ordered for delivery several years ago and were really disappointed in both the pizza and service. We decided to give it a try again and pick it up. It was a great choice. We ordered all sausage with half pepperoni and UNCUT. The sizing here is the way it should be-a large is a 16 inch large. Other local places like on 95th and California charge higher prices for a smaller size (14 inches) but call it a large. They have been friendly and prompt. After a rather disappointing experience trying the local Home Run Inn I noticed Chuck's Pizza pop up in the ol' Uber Eats rolodex. I decided to try the standard sausage/pepperoni (if they can't get this basic pizza right then it's a hard fail) as well as a specialty sandwich of theirs called the "Freddy." Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza - Price - Good prices. $16 for a large cheese when that's usually the price of a medium. 4/5 stars Appearance - Thin crust is perfectly cooked. There's a good balance between fresh baked softness & crispiness. Nice spread of ingredients and they didn't skimp out on the meat. Rather large square slices than what is usually served in Chicago restaurants. It's the equivalent of a giant New York slice, but in square form. 4/5 Taste - You immediately notice how salty it is upon your first bite. Very oily as well. The terrible sauce completely overtakes all other ingredients. You can really only taste the meat as the salt levels are just that high. The giant slices fill you up quickly. 2/5 Freddy Sandwich - Price - $6 so its in the ballpark, but missing extras like a drink 4/5 Presentation - Sliced Italian sausage laid flat on Italian bread, topped with peppers & sealed tight with a huge amount of melted mozzarella cheese. Doesn't look to appealing as everything is packed tight & not revealing. The bread is soft & cheese melted so it gets a 3/5 Taste - Spicy after taste that you really feel in your chest. Everything is warm & soft including the meat. Salty sauce once again ruins everything. The meat itself is well seasoned & can stand on it's own merit, but is unfortunately touched by the sauce in most areas. Luckily, the sauce is spread thin so you taste more of the other ingredients. A surprisingly spicy sandwich like this should come with a drink by default to wash it down or a side to waste time between bites while your insides calm down. 3/5 Overall - Chuck's really needs to switch up their sauce. It seems like they're using cheap Hunt's brand tomato sauce which is notoriously salty & hard to mask no matter what ingredients you add to it. It makes you wonder if the chef has ever tasted their own dishes because if they did that sauce would've been switched out a long time ago. The prices are good as well as the other ingredients, but it's unfortunate that they use such a cheap sauce. 3/5 stars read more

we've been picking up pizza from chucks for about 30 years. I think Chuck is retired now and his family is continuing the business but for years he answered the phone with a warm smile in his voice. His family is just as nice and treat their customers like gold. it's a very modest set up, but the pizza is delicious and seems to be getting even tastier lately. Prices are reasonable too. And just like that, the fun ends. I ordered from Chucks again on Halloween. Now, I get it, it was Halloween but it literally took TWO hours for my food to arrive. By the time they dropped it off, I was sleepy and no longer hungry. I felt so bad for the delivery person because they had to wait a the restaurant for almost an hour. So not only did I suffer but that means this person probably lost money (other delivery orders) because Chuck's was so slow! I wish I put more energy in trying to figure out how to cancel my order because I would have done so. We literally went from a super speedy delivery two weeks prior to this. I've been going to Chucks since somewhere in my 20's,you can add 20 more on to that now. The pizza is very good and the sauce has a slight sweetness to it,but not too pungent. I add toppings to my pizza and I don't pay nearly as much as I would in other places. The pizza is always fresh and the entire pizza has toppings on it so definitely not getting cheated (as some places do). Lately they've been having a really good deal on Uber Eats so I've been happy about that. The only things that I would say has changed is the chicken wings. They've been on the salty side so I'll probably stop ordering those,but I'll remain a customer for the pizza. For 30$ I get a medium sausage and pepperoni with 12 wings. read more

I would give zero stars if it was possible. My brother in law, who is disabled and in a wheelchair, ordered a pizza. Two hours later it was not delivered. He called back and said it was coming- after still waiting longer. Finally, the delivery man showed up- my husband went to the door and asked if the pizza was sitting in his car for 2 hours- his response was - you want it? My husband had the 2 liter of pop in his hand- the driver abruptly grabs the liter from his arms- throws all the money all over the front porch and leaves with the pizza. My brother in law calls back and the woman answering the phone says the driver was disrespected- which is unbelievable and completely false. We have the entire interaction on camera. This establishment also knew he was disabled and treated him horribly. I have been in this neighborhood my entire life and never had such a disrespectful interaction by a local business. I've never really been a huge fan of pizza. As a kid my dad would order from his favorite pizza place every Friday, and eventually I got sick of pizza all together. As an adult, I've become lactose intolerant and may have a slight allergy to gluten, and the pizza sauce gives me heartburn. So when I eat pizza, I make sure it's the best. I tried Chuck's last week and it was incredible, I had thin crust with cheese and black olives. I'm starting to think most of the pizza I've had over the years are just bad. Now, here's a place that I frequented since 1978! Back then we got great inexpensive pizza! I would leave work, back during that time I worked at Montgomery Ward at Evergreen Plaza only a few blocks to the south. I would call them, and they'd have my pizza ready in 30 mins. There was a older gentleman there always worked the window. His English was broken, but enough for me to understand. He was one of the nicest guys ever. I really miss those days.
