Rosangela's Pizza in Evergreen Park is easily one of my favorite spots for pizza on the South Side. It is one of those places you can always count on whether you are stopping in for a quick bite or grabbing food to go. The food is consistently so good and everything I have tried has been fresh and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they are serving and it really shows. What makes it even better is the staff. Everyone is always so incredibly friendly and helpful which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. It feels welcoming every time you walk in and that goes a long way. The ambiance is great too. It has a warm, comfortable vibe that makes it perfect for families and just an easy place to sit and enjoy your meal. Definitely one of my go to places that I will keep coming back to and would recommend to anyone looking for great pizza in the area. read more

Solid spot to snag a legit delish pizza with fab crust. So, everyone thinks deep dish is the Chicago classic but let's be honest, thin crust is the actual real deal, at least growing up in the Southside. Rosie's has been a staple in my family my whole life; family get together or just a Friday night, we've had it around the various tables. I finally got to share it with my daughter and let me say, taking that first bite after a VERY long time without real Chicago pizza, HEAVENLY. The crust is exactly as it should be, the toppings perfectly arranged; I wish there was a wee bit more sausage but you know, still not too shabby. My son and I stopped by this place before a medical appointment in the area and was pleasantly surprised to find Monday bingo happening! Unfortunately, we missed the chance to join in since the game had already started, but it was fun to watch. The venue was very clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. We ordered the thin crust pizza along with zucchini rounds. The pizza had a wonderful crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and excellent toppings. When we moved to south side Chicago we tried a bunch of different local pizza places and Rosangela's is our collective favorite. The kids will literally argue over anything but they agree on Rosangela's which makes my life peaceful which is an added bonus. read more

I think I have to update. Not really anything changes apart from the fact that I still love this pizza. I will say that this is the best pizza on the south side of Chicago. Anyways, earlier this month my dad and I went to the restaurant again. And got a new favorite green pepper, onion, garlic and mushrooms. And that week I got the same thing when I called for delivery. Today I called for delivery just now and I ordered a variation on my favorite everything plus black olives. And I ordered a sausage for my mom. And somehow that phone call lasted one minute five seconds. And that was after I agreed to tip the driver and read out the credit card numbers. Very efficient place. If you want Pizza on a Friday in a timely manner call sometime before five. I was a little late and I thought they wouldn't pick up. I called at 4:50. They picked up right away. read more

This is a really good pizza spot and quickly became our favorite. The flavor of the sauce and cheese is absolutely perfect, and as someone who loves thin crust, this place never disappoints. Every pizza we've had has been consistently delicious. We just moved into the area, and it didn't take long for this to become our family's go-to pizza place. Went on a day off. Restaurant was empty - one table of a few families playing UNO. One table of two men, another table of two men, and one single person. We waited forever to get water. Waiting even longer to order drinks. Waitress was running around, but not really doing anything (she is a regular established waitress). We finally flagged her down and ordered drinks and an appetizer. Waited and waited. Appetizer combo was delicious, at least. We see the waitress buzzing around but not waiting on anyone and definitely not glancing at us. Tried to wave her down several times - not even looking in our direction. Finally another woman comes over that I flagged down, who happened to be the bartender "helping out," since the waitress was "slammed." Huh? She took our food order and we waited some more. Finished our drinks and tried to order another round - couldn't get anyone's attention. We finally got our food and ordered another round - WHICH WE NEVER DID RECEIVE. Hubby's lasagna was blah and charred/burned. My pepper sandwich was dipped with delicious red sauce on the side - a huge sandwich which made for two additional meals, so that was a highlight at least. But the overall experience was not acceptable and we didn't really see a reason for the lack of attention. We will try one more time and after that . . . . p.s. as we were leaving, one woman sitting behind us had been waiting a long time and didn't even have water; behind her were two women who has also been there a while with no water. Came to this spot on business lunches back in the day with a Sales Manager who wanted for me to remain and potentially become a sales manager in their other division. We would meet her at least 8 times and it was always at RoseAngela's! Felt very comfortable at this venue. The food was always delicious, even though I later left the organization. Sure add salt why don't you. This is not the pizza place I remember. I have been in the community for 28 years, always ready to order a pizza from here. I hadn't had it in a while and coming out of the hospital across the street, starving! Sure, why not. Waited for it, got home and started eating and noticed it was nothing but salt. I thought I would try a piece from the opposite side, nope, the same. I tried one piece from every side and it was all the same. I was waiting for the grit to start mashing between my teeth. Left the pizza and headed for the fries, even saltier. Three days later it's all in my fridge but it will go into the trash, it's not worth the argument. So I tried their pizza since I was in the neighborhood picking up three different pizzas to go a while back. Really liked the pizza. Tonight I went to GrubHub DoorDash UberEats and finally YELP to order two pizzas. Finally I called. The ONLY way to order a pizza is on the phone which means at least two things: 1) You have no way to actually confirm or prove what you ordered; and, 2) They need to come into the modern era! They forced me to reassess my review of their establishment. If in the neighborhood I'll stop at this antiquated establishment but otherwise they are not realistically an option. read more

I cannot believe that I have never reviewed this place. Honestly it is quite possibly my favorite pizza place, or at a minimum top 5 pizza places! Excellent pizza and nice crispy crust. Sausage for the pizza is delicious also. I always have wanted to try some of the other things on the menu, but cannot b/c the pizza is too good to pass up!!! I have been going to Rosangela's as far back as 1970. That is 55 years. Surprisingly in all those years I have never had anything other than their Italian Sausage Pizza. I can only think of three business be it a restaurant or anything that I have been a customer of for that many or more years. Only Rosangela's, White Castles and McDonald's hold that spot. Crispy bottom and cheesy goodness. This large pizza was at a cost of around $45!! We also ordered a regular spaghetti with marinara sauce and mushrooms. Around $11. This was basic with no frills. customer service TERRIBLE FUCKING TERRIBLE. Called & placed an order at 7:12pm. Lady on the phone said 25 mins & was going to deliver the pizza to me across the street because I'm at the hospital at Little Company of Mary. Called to check in to see the time because it got to be 7:50pm. That same lady said it will be a hr for me to get my pizza. I stated you told me a shorter time.
