Found a Great place in downtown Hyannis with a lively bar. Well decorated with nice clean woodwork and neat tables. The kitchen was visible and open. Outdoor and indoor seating, great lively atmosphere and parking. The food smelled great and there was a wide variety in the menu. My wife had the sole francese which seemed like the pick of the night. I ordered the linguine with white clam sauce. The pasta was fresh and clams were very good. One hang up for me. Sliced pepperoni in the dish. I was caught off guard and had to pick them out as I prefer my own hand at chili flakes if needed. The server was a pro. Colombo's is a somewhat decent restaurant. The food was in no way bad, but it just didn't blow my mind. I ordered the Shrimp FraDiavolo. It came with Squid Ink linguine, I decided to pass on that and have regular linguine instead. They advertised it as spicy, but it barely had any spice in it. I've had far more spicy sauces at chains such as Olive Garden. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and they definitely didn't skimp on the portions. The Shrimp also was cooked perfectly. The food was steaming hot when it hit the table, which was great to see. Overall, it's a nice clean restaurant with very nice staff. But the 2.5% bill increase for using a debit/credit card is definitely a negative. It's 2026, most people don't use cash anymore. It's a one and done for me. The prices were a bit too high in my opinion. I don't think I'll return, but I think it's worth trying if you're on the Cape for a vacation. read more

We've walked past Colombo's so many times over the years and decided to stop in for dinner last night. The expectations we had upon going there were not met. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot, we would have been better off eating outside with the breeze. The food was subpar at best. The mashed potatoes were so salty, first time we haven't finished a portion. The pizza was soggy, with spongey crust. The baked stuff shrimp was good, but came out cold. I wish the menu stated it wasn't traditional baked stuffed shrimp. It had a sauce on it. One thing they did well was the chicken parm, it was delicious. Our server was friendly as was the hostess. As always Colombo's is a must when we plan our cape summers. We manage to snag seats at the bar each time and whether you just do apps or drinks and apps, it's always a win. The espresso and the pistachio martinis are top tier and it's not a trip here unless we have the bread basket w dip, the meatball, calamari and of course the stuffed pepper. We stopped here before a Melody Tent show. We were greeted and taken right away even though we were about 15 minutes early for our reservation. The menu has a lot of options but definitely a little pricey which I'm guessing this has to do with it trapping the tourists. The food was good Italian and the service was too. No complaints for a decent Italian meal. The atmosphere was nice as well. My only complaint was that a few of the entrees and even the wedge salad had pesto and pistachios and I'm allergic to both. I know I could have asked for those meals without but I'm hesitant due to cross contamination but I did enjoy the gnocchi! read more

Well I have been coming here on a regular basis since August 2025. I've pretty much had everything on the menu including the specials. The pizza is just right, the crust is crunchy. I've had the sole Frances several times with the risotto, great meal and on the light side. They have a short rib special. The meat melts in your mouth. It's all good. They have a dessert counter, I have had everything in that cabinet. I also have put a few pounds on', but soo good. The atmosphere is a great vibe. The outside bar is a cool place to hang out with also tables out front. The inside bar is Chris. What a nice guy. Great bartender and very personable and funny. He's my go to guy. Love the place. The waitresses are very nice and friendly. If you're looking for a relaxing evening this is the place. Prices are reasonable. Dave thank you for taking care of a few issues. I ordered 17 sandwiches the day before a meeting for pick up and called several times to verify the details but no-one picked up, I left a message and no-one called me back, I emailed the address on the website and it bounced back! Eventually I spoke to the host, who said she spoke to the chef and confirmed the pick up time. But still the order was not ready at the requested time and they had to rustle up a different selection of sandwiches in a hurry and the receipt did not match the credit card charge. So overall I don't recommend trying to order catering from out of town, unless you can go in and double check the details. read more

My husband and I came in for dinner one night this past summer while on vacation. We made reservations and were seated right away when we got there. There is a parking lot next to the building along with plenty of street parking in that area. The service was great and the food was even better For an appetizer we got the crab cake special that was really great- plenty of crab and so fresh. The carrot cake was forgettable, the chocolate cake had a sort of citrusy flavor, and also forgettable, mini chocolate chip cannoli was good, tiramisu was a let down for an Italian place, and don't even remember the other dessert. Inside was crowded and loud. People seemed to be enjoying themselves. Counter service was pleasant. Great location, and high rent district driving up the price of very mediocre food. Family consensus was there are too many better places around to accept mediocrity. A supermarket dessert case in my opinion typically exceeds this quality and value. read more

Honestly was pretty solid! The best item our family got was the short rib pappardelle - tender, fall apart meat with handmade, chewy and perfectly al dente noodles SHORT RIB PAPPARDELLE*** They advertise some pastas as homemade and I'm always mildly sketical when a restaurant says this but this definitely tasted homemade - doughy, chewy noodles; irregularly shaped and perfectly al dente in a flavorful way that can only be achieved by making these noodles in-house. The short rib itself was fall-apart tender, and deeply savory. Delicious!! CHICKEN SALTIMBOCCA*** This was another really great dish - two chicken breast filets cooked tenderly with spinach and a white wine sauce that was extremely savory and delectable, we wiped the pieces of our leftover bread to pick up the sauce and eat it. The risotto was additionally creamy, cheesy and the herb garnish gave it some more depth. Very impressed with the risotto in particular. Though a bit on the saltier side, it doesn't stop it from being the second best dish of the meal. STUFFED PORTABELLO MUSHROOMS (APPETIZER) Crispy exterior with a juicy pop of mushrooms with savory components and crunchy/tender components make for a great texture adventure, and a pop of umami. BROILED SCROD Tender pieces of fish that just fall apart when your fork touches it; lightly breaded and thoroughly cooked oven roasted potatoes with a great crisp texture and juicy, tender green beans. MEAT LOVERS PIZZA I was the most skeptical as being from NYC pizza from other states tends to be disappointing but I was very happy with this pie. Despite stuffing it with meat, it did not fall apart when going for a slice and held structurally. Flaky, SMOKY pieces of bacon coat the top of sliced meatball and pepperoni pieces decorating this pie thoroughly. The crust is on the crispier side rather than chewy, and the cheese is more prominent than the tomato sauce sweetness. Salty, savory forward. Floury, gritty exterior to the crust itself which was enjoyable. BEEF BOLOGNESE Doesn't have quite the handmade flavor the pappardelle did but I love the mix of penne and ziti pieces for the bolognese, and my father, a previous chef of an Italian restaurant, felt they did a great job with the sauce, and texture of the cooked noodles (and he's not afraid to say otherwise). However, a beef bolognese is pretty standard so I enjoyed some of the more interesting items on the menu. Additionally, they did a great job with the thousand island salad dressing - sour, mustard forward with a sweetness that runs throughout. It began with engaging Chris, our waiter, and Antonio, an affable man whose generous water refills could quiet a parched camel! Of course, my wife and I were fortunate; we arrived with the place oozing "laid back" lunch: all world sounds, time to gawk at the sun-splashed bar and dining area, and mixologist Kylie dishing her creamy, lush Pistachio Martini. My red vino, a Montepulciano Fantini, also fostered some gentle sippin'. For eats, pizza connoisseurs might give Colombo's renowned Prosciutto Pizza a gander: a wide pan brimming with copious slices of this ham delicacy, sweet fig jam, tangy goat cheese and one of the most tender crusts ever. Ever! We were so impressed with our experience we sought out kindly Manager Rosemary. And like her staff, she too exceeded expectations. Dessert? First of all, my wife and I love going to Columbos. food and service are always great. But we went last weekend for lunch instead of dinner. Although the food was very good, we feel we got ripped off. I ordered my favorite meal which was short rib Ragu and my wife got the Tuscan chicken. On their website LUNCH menu my ragu was $17.95 and my wife's dish is 18.95. When we received our bill they charged us full price for a DINNER entree of 27.95 each. When I spoke to the bartender about it she said the owner is here and I will let him know. I showed her the menu on the website but nothing was said to me and price was never adjusted. It's a shame this restaurant feels they need to pull this SCAM to make a few extra bucks. It's too bad, we really like this restaurant, but I will be letting people know about this SCAM. read more

Really overpriced and underwhelming! Upon arrival to the restaurant there was no parking, once we entered looking to buy some pastries there were no prices in the window or menu listing prices, the food was quite underwhelming the Tiramisu had only one layer of lady fingers and overall for $13 it was not worth the money, and the Eclair pastry was dry and flavorless, the custard was very eggy and over powered the taste of the pastry however the worst part was the chocolate on top of the Eclair it tasted like cheap chocolate pudding that you would receive in a hospital. We were craving seafood every day while at the Cape but so so tired of everything fried. We decided linguini with clam sauce would hit the spot so we found this place right along Main Street in Hyannis. For drinks, I ordered the organic mango chili margarita which was super delicious. I would've gone for a second but got distracted when they brought dinner out. We both ordered linguini with clam sauce...hubby got the white, I got the red. The dish was out of this world good! The handmade pasta was perfectly cooked and came chock full of clams. We got about 6-8 whole clams with a ton chopped up in the sauce. Although my hubby found his dish a bit over salted, he still ate it all up. My red was perfect in every way. We both agreed that the red was the best of the two. Side note, they brought delicious bread to the table with oil for dipping. The bread was nice and warm and crusty. My favorite-old world style bread with a nice crust. I really wanted a cappuccino with dessert but again...no dairy free milk. Honestly this was the worst part. I'm still going to give them 5 stars because my linguini was so very sexy but it would've been nice to have a nice dessert with coffee. read more

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - There is a service charge for using a credit card. (Who pays cash anymore?)...... With that said - This was the first time my wife and I have been here, my daughter has been several times with her friends. We decided to do lunch instead of dinner as the lunch menu is less pricey. The staff were very accommodating as we were an hour early for our reservations. Once seated Helen our server stopped to take our orders and answer any questions we had. I recommend you ask for Helen is possible. We started out with baked stuffed mushrooms, and drinks. My wife had the Mai Tai, daughter got the Blueberry Gin Fizz, and I the Blueberry Peach Cobbler. All drinks averaged around $14.00 and were very good. Daughter had the choice of Gluten free Pepperoni Pizza on Cauliflower Crust or regular GF dough. She chose the cauliflower crust and thought it was just OK. I had the Short Rib Ragu on pappardelle pasta and it was loaded with chunks of delicious short ribs that melted in your mouth, the sauce was also very tasty. My wife had the Caesar salad and the Mussels Bianco. The salad was your typical salad but heavy handed on the dressing, we recommend getting the dressing on the side. The mussels are another story. They were soooooooo good and the Bianco sauce was amazing. They gave us toasted bread to dip in the sauce, and to be honest if no one was looking I would have drank the sauce after the bread disappeared. We ended our meal with some sweets, the Tirimisu, and the Lemoncello cake all very delicious... Needless to say I will give this place a rating of just a 3 due to the fact of the service charge for spending money at their establishment. read more
