$10 for a glass of Stella in Queens?! Never again. The beer on tap was tasting sour and, though he (bartender/manager) didn't admit it, he changed the keg and it was all good afterwards. Five drinks in we decide to leave only to find that beer prices skyrocketed like we're in Manhattan or a club, but the place has the look and feel like a local pub, which waaaas actually my favorite part. Also, there's a fee for credit cards that's not stated anywhere (this part is supposedly illegal/taboo now). Two stars for good times and great service in the past. I had a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience at this bar that I feel compelled to share, not only to warn others but also to shed light on the unacceptable behavior I encountered. On New Year's Eve, I was out celebrating with friends when, unexpectedly, I was subjected to discrimination and mistreatment by the bartender. The night took a distressing turn when, just 12 minutes before the ball dropped, the bartender forced me to move from my seat so that a married couple could sit together--a decision that felt unfair, especially since there were other available seats, and I was simply trying to sit comfortably next to my best friend. I expressed my feelings to my friends, mentioning that I felt singled out because I stood out differently from others, which was overheard by the bartender. Instead of addressing my concerns with empathy, the bartender responded with aggression, getting into my face and yelling profanities at me. He aggressively told me to "cut my attitude" or he would throw me out of the bar--a threatening and hostile reaction that was completely unwarranted and disproportionate to the situation. This behavior was particularly painful because I have a diagnosis of severe anxiety and autism, conditions that make such confrontations especially distressing. When my friend kindly asked the bartender to lower his voice, knowing my medical conditions, the bartender responded with shocking ignorance and prejudice, claiming he "had never dealt with someone like me" and dismissively stating that people with autism have no place in a bar. (mind you i'm 30 and high functioning living my life not letting a disability define me). This display of discrimination and lack of understanding was unacceptable. It demonstrated a lack of empathy, awareness, and respect for diversity. The bartender's behavior revealed a concerning attitude that stigmatized individuals with neurodivergent conditions. When the night concluded with the ball drop, the bartender offered a weak apology, saying that if he had known I had autism, he wouldn't have acted that way. However, such an apology does little to undo the emotional harm caused by his behavior. This experience has left me feeling disrespected, and I believe it's important to hold this place accountable when they fail to create a safe, inclusive environment. No one should be made to feel out of place or unwelcome because of their challenges. Discrimination in any form--whether based on mental health or neurodiversity--is unacceptable, and businesses have a responsibility to show respect and understanding for all customers. I strongly urge this bar to reflect on its policies, educate its staff about diversity and inclusion, and commit to treating every individual with dignity and compassion. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this establishment for anyone who values acceptance, kindness, and respect for diversity. read more

Walked in while a private party was "wrapping up" with a bunch of friends. We went to the outside area where a bartender told us the party had ended a half an hour before. As we were hanging out at a back table, the DJ/man who said he was the "owner of the bar" stated that we were in a a private party and needed to to leave. We obliged, but obviously were confused after what we were told. As we were leaving, the guy running the private party (it was his birthday) stopped us and accused us of stealing one of his birthday gifts?! Our friends are moving and we bought them a bottle of wine. Needed to show him and the owner the card to prove it wasn't his. Honestly the rudest service I've ever received. Came here with a ticket from the Queens Beer Book. My friend and I wandered down the street from Press 195 and came here. The place was relatively empty, which is understandable being that it was a Sunday night. We took a seat at the bar, and the bartender promptly greeted us and provided recommendations to us based on our liquor of choice. Being that I had a ticket to use up, I first went with a Sam Adams Oktoberfest. It's one of my go-tos for Sam Adams beers, after the Boston Lager. It came in a bottle with a chilled glass. My friend ordered the Tequila Mockingbird. It was light and refreshing, and not too overwhelming with any particular flavor. After I finished my beer, I ordered a NoNo-jito, which is NoNo's take on a Mojito. It was okay, nothing to write home about. It seems like this lounge gets pretty busy on Fridays and Saturdays being that they have large speakers set up at each end of the bar and extensive lounge seating. I also noticed that they have an outdoor patio space. I don't think I would go out of my way to come back here, it was just okay. read more

Do not go to this place don't be fooled by these yelpers. They are all liars! You will be disappointed in many different level. Total ghetto out door space, and believe me it is worse than your imagination. There is a humongous air conditioning unit as soon as you walk outside and it makes crazy loud noises! You can't beat the staff, the chicken sandwich, or the martinis at Nono's. One of the owners is the chef and they serve all of his traditional, original recipes. They have the most romantic first date ambience on Bell. There is an enclosed outdoor space, a bar area, and a separate lounge area. I threw my friend's birthday party here and Mark and Katy made sure everyone had a drink in his/her hand at all times. read more

THRILLED! LOVED IT! I told the owner, "This just became my favorite restaurant!!". For my wife's B-day i took her and my daughter there and had DELICIOUS, AUTHENTIC, REAL italian food. We had delicious dinner entrees with two glasses of wine and tip it came to just about $90 for 3 people. Everything was D-LISH. The salad greens were super fresh, the dressings were PERFECT (the raspberry vinaigrette was ON THE MONEY as was the creamy italian (not too much vinegar bite, not too little). The starter bread was hot and yummy (had to be careful, i wanted to fill up on that!). The service was great. The owner is a real nice man, had no problem accommodating our seating request and reservation. He was pretty busy, would have liked to talk to him a little more and found out more about the place and it's history. Oh, by the way, everything was VERY clean. Besides being incredibly good looking, i'm also pretty tall. I can see dust on top of pictures and places where most others can't. The pictures on the wall, the glass fixtures, all of it, everything was spotless. Someone obviously takes the time to clean everything... that tells me that this owner has very high standards. The decor was warm and a sublime, comfortable and a little up-scale but family friendly with a low noise level. Folks, THIS IS HOW TO DO IT! I can't wait to go back. I'll skip a few pizzas during the month to have an awesome meal like that. Came here for some drinks on an evening to catch up with my friend. The actual place is pretty small on the inside, with a live DJ playing. It's a bit loud but if you shimmy to their nice outdoor patio, there was a good amount of seating under a half-covered area. You could still hear some music in the background. The bartenders would shuffle in and out at a very appropriate timing. She was especially nice and continued to make us feel welcomed. Drinks seemed affordable for NY. read more

I came here last night for a work gathering. I arrived around 7:30 and the place was dead. I stayed til about 11:30 and the bar was full because of our party. There were about 6 other people there not with our group. I'm pretty sure this was the busiest they've been. The drinks sound good. I tried their pumpkin pie martini. It was just ok. The mixed drinks are definitely watered down. My friend even complained to them about their sangria and the bar tender said it was probably because the ice melted. This place is beyond awesome from the drinks, bartenders and staff. Mark is absolutely amazing and we contacted him a few weeks before our wedding to see if we could do a low key after party. Not only was he inviting but made sure the back, even though it was undergoing maintenance, had a cleaned, working fire pit and large back area so we could all sit around. This was the perfect ending to the night, having a crowd of 30 people bonding, jamming to a live dj and feeling at home was incredible. Probably one of the better bars on bell. Thursday nights are awesome $25 open bar for about 2 hours? Yes please. The have an intimate inside part of the bar which is nice. And an outdoor backyard patio. They have fire pits there in the summer which is really cool. With outdoor tables. Also in the colder times they have heaters and an enclosed area. It is super cool. Definitely stop by for a cool experience and not with the psychos on bell. It is not crowded which is a plus. read more

Wow this place is a whole new level of rude and obnoxious. About a year ago I dropped it to get a happy hour drink, there was no one else in the bar. The bar owner ... or who he presented himself to be .... treated me like I was distinctly not welcome. He dismissed my presence , turned his back to me and basically invited me to leave his empty establishment . Believe me I left. Never went back. Willfully I admit I was a jerk recently and told other patrons the place sucked as I walked by... only to have staff, again I am pretty certain it was that same "owner"... practically chase me down the street mouthing off at me. No one else , including fellow business owners know how this place is still in business. It is always empty when I walk by and does not serve food. Save your effort, money and time. read more

Nono's is a little loungey bar that you can find on Bell. They play some music in the background but the place is quiet and empty enough that you can chat away with your friends. We grabbed some drinks at Nono's after dinner this week. I think 7 NYC girls in Nono's might be a little much for the place as we started our own dance party. The crowd is pretty random; you have some 40 somethings mixed in with the 20 somethings i.e. mock turtlenecks vs. corset gear We had an attentive waitresses that never let us go dry. The drinks were at bargain discount prices. This is a quiet little Queens spot that makes for a fun night with no crowds to push through. read more

Came here to meet a friend for a drink & we reminisced about days gone by & how nono's hasn't changed a bit, which is a good thing, because I have very fond memories of this place. There's something to be said about consistency. Nonos has been around for 13 years & I hope it will be there for many years to come. As for the specifics: they don't have a mind blowing array of beers on tap but they do offer nice variety with their selections. They don't serve food, however nonos is walking distance to many restaurants (White Castle across the street!). They have a patio in the back if you prefer fresh air on a warm night. However, if you choose to drink outside claim your space early since the patio space is pretty small. Never has been a place that gets overly crowded which is another good thing because it's the perfect place to meet up for a drink with friends & have a good time. Love their outdoor backyard area for warmer nights, I felt like I was in a friend's backyard at a house party. Indoor lounge is a little tight when it gets late on a fri/sat night. Sadly this used to be the place I go to when I need to get out of the house,nice decor,older crowd no kids really good music,good place till last weekend. I stopped in to meet a few friends & see a couple of locals who frequent the joint,good evening till my second drink. I literally ask the bartender who was obviously in love with the owner if there was any alcohol in the drinks!? After my 3rd screwdriver I had to switch to beer ,drinks way to watered down. The serving bar tender was on the owner a little to much & way to touchy feely for her to even hear me talk to her & in no way at all professional wtf! Yet I wasn't the only one complaining about weak drinks. This isn't the only lounge in queens! Maybe I'll try it again in a couple of weeks if no change I don't mind hitting up different places.
