We stopped by around 7pm on a Friday night. The restaurant was fairly empty but filled up about 30 mins after we were seated. We were each provided with an iPad to access the menu and were given a basket of freshly baked bread with an oil spread to start. We ordered the prosciutto and buratta pizza, the spaghetti with clams, the veal ossobucco, and the spicy brussel sprouts. I really enjoyed the free bread, which was warm and crispy on the outside. The oil spread was spiced very well and reminded me of pesto sauce. The prosciutto and buratta pizza came out first and was topped with tons of arugula. The pizza was light and crispy. Each slice was balanced and very enjoyable. I loved the oil from the free bread that we asked for more to drizzle onto the pizza. The entrees came out next along with our side of spicy brussel sprouts. I was quite disappointed with them since I expected the brussel sprouts to be roasted and crispy, but they were quite soggy and certainly not spicy at all. The spaghetti with clams had a nice presentation. The dish was briney from the clams and had very clean and simple flavors. The veal ossobucco was pretty big and was served with polenta and mushrooms. I enjoyed the flavors but the dish was too heavy for my taste. The veal was tender and had the perfect amount of fatty bits. Overall I enjoyed the pizza and the free bread the most from this meal. I hope to visit again to try another pizza.

Italian restaurant in Bayside Queens. Service was great and the food was super tasty. I ordered the octopus and spicy Brussel sprouts. The firewood pizza was delicious!! I would recommend and absolutely returning for their happy hour :)

Decent sized restaurant close to municipal parking. Simply decorated for the season. Was here for a Galentine's Day brunch and had a mimosa along with waffles, but really enjoyed the penne à la vodka. Would visit again to sample another dish or two to get a more tailored experience.

My family and I came here for Mother's Day! We had reservations for 445pm and we got there early! When I asked if it's possible to be seated early, they told us absolutely! Was very grateful for that! This is our first time here and I appreciated the decor of this establishment! Upon being seated, they had a Mother's Day pre-fixed menu which was great! We were a party of six and all agreed to do the pre-fix menu which each person can order an appetizer, entree, and dessert for one price each person! I ordered the Burrata with heirloom tomatoes as my appetizer! I really appreciated how it all came together! They also brought two bread baskets consisting of an Italian seasoned breadsticks served with olive oil on the side which was delicious! For my entree, I ordered the chicken parmigiana! The sauce and pasta that came with it was fresh and seasoning was well balanced! It was not over the top which I appreciated! The chicken had balanced flavor and not overly salty! And my dessert was the chocolate lava cake! I expected to be overly sweet! However, it was right on in terms of sweetness! It was not overbearing and enjoyed every bite of it! In regards to my family with me, they all enjoyed their meals and would love to come back and try other dishes! This place is perfect for a date night and they also have a rooftop from what I was told! I am planning and returning here and bring my girlfriend for a date night!

Great service and food is always good. We always get a pizza to share and their drinks are also great. Recommend the Pina colada. For food we usually get the truffle pasta, pesto, and truffle burger.

My biggest complaint was the service. Our waiter had been paying more attention to another table and rarely came to check up on us. I noticed he kept disappearing when we needed him. When he did come to our table, his breath smelled like liquor. On top of that, when it was time to get the check, he had mixed up our items with another table and told us the end total was still correct. As a party of 5, we were all so confused, but ended up paying the bill anyways. In terms of the food, the mushroom pizza was really goo d and they did make a good Aperol Spritz.

Mushroom pizza was GREAT, definitely recommend. Will have to return another time to try some of the other menu items.

Food is amazing - ordered from the happy hour and dinner menu. Happy hour ended at 7, offered only in the bar area. I ordered penne alla vodka spicy with shrimp and a Caesar salad . My cousin ordered a Margherita pizza and pomodoro with a few remix . For drinks, I had white wine, he did a red sangria. I want to try the cocktails next time. Definitely a hidden gem. Can't complain about service but you have to ask about specials/happy hour.

The restaurant has a great vibe with a bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and a nicely decorated back room that was perfect for our group. It's clean, spacious, and was surprisingly busy for a Monday early night. We also found out they have great specials, including $1 wings. The spicy margarita was a hit amongst the group. The drinks were good, and my favorites were the Brussels sprouts and calamari. The rest of the group loved the wings, and the salad, and burger was also really good. The real star of the night was Joyce behind the bar. She's the kind of bartender who instantly makes you feel welcome, like you've been a regular for years even if it's your first visit. She knows her drinks, makes amazing recommendations, and somehow keeps the energy fun and relaxed even when the bar gets busy. You can tell she genuinely cares about people having a good experience, and that kind of service is rare. Her gin and tonic was perfectly balanced -- crisp, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I've had. And the green tea shots? Dangerous in the best way possible. Smooth, flavorful, and way too easy to keep ordering because they go down so well. Joyce makes them with consistency and a little extra flair that makes the whole experience feel special. Food-wise, I highly recommend the pork dumplings -- flavorful, perfectly cooked, and the ideal pairing with drinks. Everything just worked together: great food, great drinks, and even better hospitality. Joyce truly elevates the entire atmosphere at Firefly, turning a normal night out into something memorable. If you're going, sit at the bar, trust her recommendations, and thank me later. 10/10 experience -- I'll absolutely be back.

We asked about happy hour since Instagram said they had it, but turns out it's not a thing anymore. They owned the miscommunication and took care of us, offering $8 wine, discounts on a couple appetizers, and even a complimentary extra glass of wine to make it up. We ordered a few things off the tapas menu. The popcorn chicken, the octopus, uni and foie gras, short ribs, and beef tacos. The short ribs leaned a bit dry, but everything else was on point. Standout by far was the uni and foie gras. A little pricey for 4 pieces but very delicious. Big shoutout to the 2 staff on site, very friendly, warm and responsive throughout. I would recommend Tavern 157 if you're in the area looking for something casual with good drinks and food and not in the mood for Korean food.
