6/1/26 Stopped by for a quick bite and to check out the rooftop space. New photos. Had a great Mother's Day dinner at Valdari on 5/10/2026! Manager Beatrice is truly a gem -- very attentive, super sweet, and made my family feel so welcome. The atmosphere was warm, family-oriented, and comfortable. The prix fixe menu was excellent from beginning to end. For appetizers, my mom had the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, and my sister and I had Nonna's meatballs, which were delicious. My sister had the rigatoni, my mom had the salmon, and I had the short rib of beef, which melted in my mouth like butter -- that's how tender the meat was. For dessert, I had the cannoli's while my mom and sister enjoyed the chocolate lava cake. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The bathrooms were also nice and clean, which is always a plus. My family and I will definitely be coming back again -- even if it's just to stop in for a lychee martini and the grilled octopus, one of my favorite meals. It was a very quiet late lunch on a Wednesday, with only one other table occupied. The restaurant is nicely decorated, featuring an open kitchen and a wood-fired oven, which gives the space a warm and inviting feel. Our server was very pleasant and happened to be the only one working at the time, though with so few guests, it seemed to be all that was needed. We ordered the three-course lunch special. One set included the meatballs to start, followed by the chicken Parmesan and bomboloni for dessert. The other included a Caesar salad, tagliatelle Bolognese, and tiramisu. There was a bit of a longer-than-expected gap between the appetizer and the entrée, especially considering we were essentially the only table being served, as the other guests had already finished their meal. That was a little frustrating. Aside from that, most of the food was solid. The only real disappointment was the chicken Parmesan, which was quite overcooked. It was unfortunate given that the kitchen was only cooking for the two of us. That said, the mashed potatoes, an unusual pairing with chicken Parmesan were excellent: perfectly creamy and incredibly smooth. The tiramisu was also quite good, but the real standout was the bomboloni. I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed them, since fried doughnuts wouldn't normally be my first choice for dessert. I would definitely return. read more

We recently came here to celebrate three birthdays at once and Valdari went above and beyond yo accommodate! We were initially going to take the rooftop but it ended up being a colder day than expected so they pushed together all the tables by the booths and had our rather large group sitting together in no time. The service was a bit slow. I'm unsure if this was due to the size of our group or something else but drinks did not come out together and neither did the food. For drinks I had the bloody Mary which was yummy and STRONG. I followed it with a virgin pina colada since I didn't want to drink much and that was tasty, as well. For food I had the branzino. It was definitely not an actual branzino and if you read the iPad menu you will see it's even listed as a sea bass. Regardless it was delicious. The brussel sprouts were a huge hit with a spicy cheese sauce. We couldn't get enough! Some people had brunch and they said everything was yummy. Prices are fair. The wait staff is friendly. Definitely a nice spot to grab brunch. read more

We stopped by around 7pm on a Friday night. The restaurant was fairly empty but filled up about 30 mins after we were seated. We were each provided with an iPad to access the menu and were given a basket of freshly baked bread with an oil spread to start. We ordered the prosciutto and buratta pizza, the spaghetti with clams, the veal ossobucco, and the spicy brussel sprouts. I really enjoyed the free bread, which was warm and crispy on the outside. The oil spread was spiced very well and reminded me of pesto sauce. The prosciutto and buratta pizza came out first and was topped with tons of arugula. The pizza was light and crispy. Each slice was balanced and very enjoyable. I loved the oil from the free bread that we asked for more to drizzle onto the pizza. The entrees came out next along with our side of spicy brussel sprouts. I was quite disappointed with them since I expected the brussel sprouts to be roasted and crispy, but they were quite soggy and certainly not spicy at all. The spaghetti with clams had a nice presentation. The dish was briney from the clams and had very clean and simple flavors. The veal ossobucco was pretty big and was served with polenta and mushrooms. I enjoyed the flavors but the dish was too heavy for my taste. The veal was tender and had the perfect amount of fatty bits. Overall I enjoyed the pizza and the free bread the most from this meal. I hope to visit again to try another pizza. read more

My family and I came here for Mother's Day! We had reservations for 445pm and we got there early! When I asked if it's possible to be seated early, they told us absolutely! Was very grateful for that! This is our first time here and I appreciated the decor of this establishment! Upon being seated, they had a Mother's Day pre-fixed menu which was great! We were a party of six and all agreed to do the pre-fix menu which each person can order an appetizer, entree, and dessert for one price each person! I ordered the Burrata with heirloom tomatoes as my appetizer! I really appreciated how it all came together! They also brought two bread baskets consisting of an Italian seasoned breadsticks served with olive oil on the side which was delicious! For my entree, I ordered the chicken parmigiana! The sauce and pasta that came with it was fresh and seasoning was well balanced! It was not over the top which I appreciated! The chicken had balanced flavor and not overly salty! And my dessert was the chocolate lava cake! I expected to be overly sweet! However, it was right on in terms of sweetness! It was not overbearing and enjoyed every bite of it! In regards to my family with me, they all enjoyed their meals and would love to come back and try other dishes! I don't usually write reviews, but this experience stood out in a negative way. From the start, the service felt off. We were greeted by a blonde latino who came across as noticeably unfriendly and unwelcoming, which already set a bad tone for the meal. We ordered a meat lovers pizza and fettuccine Alfredo. both dishes were extremely salty. The chicken and toppings were especially over-seasoned to the point where it was hard to enjoy more than a slice of pizza. The chicken was also difficult to finish because of the salt level. When we asked for the check, we paid in cash. For a party of two, our bill came out to $61. The server repeatedly pointed out that the total did not include a service charge or tip and remained standing there even after I gave her 62 in cash, which felt uncomfortable. I mean i always leave cash behind separate from the bill, but why was she demanding her tip. Overall, the combination of the food quality and the service made the experience disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes feedback like this into account and improves consistency in both the kitchen and front of house. read more

My biggest complaint was the service. Our waiter had been paying more attention to another table and rarely came to check up on us. I noticed he kept disappearing when we needed him. When he did come to our table, his breath smelled like liquor. On top of that, when it was time to get the check, he had mixed up our items with another table and told us the end total was still correct. As a party of 5, we were all so confused, but ended up paying the bill anyways. In terms of the food, the mushroom pizza was really goo d and they did make a good Aperol Spritz. read more

Place has gone so downhill in recent years. They used to make quality pizza that had fresh mozzarella, good dough, and fresh sauce. Now, they use cheap shredded cheese and dry dough. Used to have more wines by the glass and cut back on that too. It feels like they've just reduced the quality drastically of everything across the board. Such a shame. read more

My cousin ordered a Margherita pizza and pomodoro with a few remix . For drinks, I had white wine, he did a red sangria. I want to try the cocktails next time. Definitely a hidden gem. My husband and I came here for Valentine's Day and it was a huge mistake. What went well 1. We both enjoyed the taste and presentation of our appetizer and entree What went wrong 1. When we arrived, they had trouble finding our reservation. My husband had to point it out to them on their iPad. 2. Our server took our order prix fixe order - app, entree and desert. She came back a few minutes later to confirm my husband's app selection. Then later in the meal had to reconfirm our dessert selections too. 3. Our apps came out timely and tasted good. Then, issues sprung up! We had to wait 40 minutes for our entrees. We asked 3x about where they were watching other tables get served their full three courses in that time. The server was quasi-apologetic but didn't do much to fix the issue. It looks like she forgot to place the original order and then didn't have the kitchen execute it in advance of the other orders once she saw the issue. NOT GOOD SERVICE. 4. My husband ordered 2 diet cokes. The first was in a large mug the second was in a slender glass- literally half the size. 5. The busboy dropped cutlery on my husband and spilled tomato sauce (from his app) on my husband's dress shirt. Then proceeded to leave the dirty cutlery there and never replace it. Busboy was apologetic but again, not adding to the Valentine's Day experience you want to have. 6. My husbands desert looked like a mess. The ice cream on the meh tasting cheesecake had fallen off. We ordered the same dessert - his had a mishap. The server should have sent it back to the kitchen to be fixed before serving it especially given the number of issues we had. 7. They gave us complimentary champagne but it was terrible. It tasted like vinegar. After all that, they automatically added their gratuity and gave us a haphazard "Hope you enjoyed your meal." We tried to but this place made it near impossible. Maybe they were overwhelmed? Overall, unimpressed. read more

Absolute disaster. My boyfriend and I came for Valentine's Day, and like several others already, we had a terrible experience. We were sat quickly, but everything went downhill from there. It took about 15 minutes for someone to take our order, and then another 20 for our drinks to come. Both of our drinks tasted extremely watered down. Then, another 20 minutes for our so-so appetizers. After that, an HOUR for our entrees. My boyfriend's "ribeye" came mushy, fatty, and chewy (unsure if it was even a ribeye cut; seemed a lot more like a cafeteria skirt steak). My bolognese was grainy and bland. At that point, we asked for the check and our dessert to go. That was another 20 minute wait. There were literally two options for dessert, and they managed to get those wrong, too. Our server added an automatic 20% gratuity to our bill -- I don't think we were even going to tip 10%. We asked for a manager, but our server said they weren't present (hard to believe since it's a huge night for an Italian restaurant). We were offered no solutions other than the automatic gratuity getting taken off. Paying $200+ for this experience (fixed menu) was an absolute joke. We don't plan on coming back. read more
