Seems like most 10 parties are here for the AYCE lunch. I liked how they space the guests apart aside from the booths. They asked if I wanted bar or table and of course I went with the table. Ordering was done with an erasable menu and marker. I ordered clams, baby clams (honestly no difference between baby and regular), soft shelled crab, corn and crab legs. Steamed was the way to go to taste the true flavor of the snow crab legs and dungeness crab legs! Thank goodness it was per cluster and not pound. I ate a bit of clams first. A few were odd tasting so I'm glad I got it steamed otherwise I wouldn't have been able to tell if it had been doused in sauce. I did want to taste the sauce though so I asked for it on the side. It added quite a nice spice but was so oily. I finished the snow crab legs then dungeness. The snow crab was easy to cut with just my hands and the scissors. Dungeness crab was a bit thicker and I had to use the claw crusher. The meat was meatier though like what you want to get from a small crab but more meat and sweeter tasting. The snow crab honestly felt like sample size but still decent for $5 a cluster. Both were very fresh as the meat didn't stick to the shells. Totally worth it for the add on to the lunch special. The corn was sweet and I got two small cobs. The soft shelled fried crab was 2 small crabs that were fried. It was decently crunchy. Maybe next time I visit I'll give their other dished like crawfish and lobster bisque a try. Paid about $50 total (automatic 15% service charge included). Service was basic. Overall $30 for AYCE is a pretty great deal! read more

Went in on a week day for the promoted AYCE special . I explained to them that I would like the $29 AYCE promoted lunch special I was sat promptly and handed a menu. The food took a little while but came out hot and tasted fresh . I enjoyed a cocktail while I waited . I didn't really order much cause I wasn't that hungry and they charge a whopping 15.99 per lb for wasted food . When I got the check I was super upset to see they charged me the full $69 dollar price when I challenged it they said oh the lunch special doesn't include crab legs but no where on the menu specified that any the waitress didn't explain that to me . ONE crab leg cluster wasn't work 69 dollars plus tax and tip. I felt like they lied about the price and definitely sneak the bill on you with out explaining so be mindful of that . The Monster Crab has been on my list for a while as I seen it on TikTok. Food: the food is great. I was here for the all you can eat $60 and it did not fail. The crab legs, scallops, corn, egg, pasta, fried wings, and the lobster roll my goodness is so taste and great portion. The house blend sauce is IT!!! There were a lot of birthday celebrations going on here especially since the birthday person eats for free if you have 5 people with you. They play this loud obnoxious music everything. There's no time limit so we did get our money's worth. They charge 18% tip no matter the size of your group. Some of their seafood wasn't as fresh as we would've liked it to be. I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time now since they opened. It is actually a very big space with plenty of seating. It has a nautical decor with dim lighting. I, of course, had to order their fried pickles and a lychee martini. The order of fried pickles was quite large and had the perfect crunch. The martini was good, not great but good. As my entree, I ordered 1/4 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of crab legs, 1/4 pound of mussels, and boiled egg in mild house blend. I really liked the house blend since it was slightly spicy, had great seasoning but also had a taste of garlic and butter. All the seafood was fresh and filling; I even had enough to take home and eat the next day. We paid a little over $200 for 3 drinks, 3 entrees and 2 appetizers (tip and tax included) I thought the prices were fair and I will probably be coming back soon since I really enjoyed it. read more

Wow this was beyond disappointing. They don't have king crab anymore, I was stuck having to get snow crab. The lobster bisque was too sweet. The lobster tail I ordered WAS BAD! Tasted like AMMONIA! Recuperating from a recent surgery, my wife wanted to cheer me up so she brought me to this restaurant. The place where they are situated has a huge parking lot, so no problem there. When we went in, the staff gave us a warm welcome, the place was packed with costumers noticeably enjoying their meals. While inside, the aroma of boiled/fried seafood was very enticing and irresistible. The atmosphere is considered good, casual, with clean facilities and a comfortable, friendly space. The staff is friendly and attentive, he was kind enough to explain what they are offering and the menu. Went to The Monster Crab for dinner on Friday. It's located in The Bay Terrace Shopping Center so there's plenty of parking. It's a typical looking seafood boil restaurant, with fishing gear and nets adorning the walls. We went for the all you can eat option for $59.99, which allows you to order anything off the menu basically. Most of the appetizers are fried seafood, they were all pretty good. The lobster rolls were served cold. The best part is the seafood boil bags. The Dungeness and snow crab legs were cooked well so they were easy to peel. Food comes out very quickly too. Second rounds of orders seem to be smaller than first rounds. I tried the Cajun sauce as well as their house blend. Both were good but the house blend was significantly tastier. So first thing first . It was only two people me and my brother doing the seafood boil buffet option. Service was fine not the best but good. Food was all right not have the taste. In appetite the only thing good was fried food and the seafood boil was ok. But only with at there lunch time for $30. Ambiance was good. Ok when I got check I see a tip change without even telling us. That in buffet there is a mandatory tip change for 15%. Then I did some digging I found they can't do that in New York. I was recommended this spot by my coworker, and I wasn't disappointed. My friend and I went for AYCE dinner last week, which was $60/person. The seafood is very fresh and I feel like this is a very good value as well. On a Friday night, we were seated immediately and didn't have to wait which was nice. Service was also prompt and our drinks were refilled without asking. I tried the seafood boil with shrimp and crab legs with the garlic butter, which I really enjoyed. We also tried the lobster rolls which were so good especially with the butter from the seafood boil. The only thing I didn't care for was the mac and cheese. It was greasy and weird. This is an AYCE cajun style seafood broil for $60/pp (before tax and tips). The menu is pretty expansive and broad. Lobster tail is an extra charge but lobster rolls are included in the AYCE. Lobster roll is def not to pass out on! As for the seafood broil; my friends opt for a lot of snowcrabs, scallops: dungeness crab, blue crabs, mussels, clams, corn, and calamari in a medium spicy house blend mix. We were blown away the quality and quantity of our meal! We ended up getting a second round of snow crabs and dungeness crabs. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal from start to finish. Our boil included 2 different types of mussels, clams, crawfish, shrimp, sausages, corn, potatoes, boiled eggs. Everything was massive and so fresh. We got a bit more potatoes corn, and eggs than expected so you can always specific how many pieces you would like. The food was incredibly satisfying. Each seafood dish was perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed a little of everything--the lobster roll, crab legs, calamari, and shrimp--and it was all delicious. I've been to Monster Crab in both the Carle Place location and the Bayside location. What they both have in common is fantastic seafood boils! Their AYCE Lunch Specials @ $24.95 can't be beat! Available Mon to Fri Only, until 3:30pm. See my photos for their AYCE Menu. Their menu choices are extensive and plentiful, and includes soft drinks. But don't fill up on those delicious appetizers! Save room for the main event: their seafood boils! Keep in mind that it's All You Can Eat, however, they don't want you to waste food. This means that you MUST finish everything you order, or they'll charge you for the uneaten food...and NO, you cannot take your leftovers home. So order whatever you want but make sure not to over order. Note that the lunch menu doesn't include Snow Crab Legs or Lobster but you can pay a little extra if you really want them; +$5 for a lb of Snow Crab and +$10 for a whole lobster, which actually isn't a bad price! But honestly, unless you're really craving them, I'd skip the add ons. There is soooo much in the regular menu to choose from! There's just so much you can eat, right? Note that there is a 90 minute limit, so eat fast cause those 90 minutes go by fast! They also offer a little cup of ice cream at the end, if you still have room in your stomach. Monster Crab also offers an AYCE dinner menu for $59.95, with even more items on the menu! They also have weekly specials, as well as daily specials. Note that your seafood boils can come in individual bags or shared bags, depending on your preference. We usually get separate bags since everyone likes different types of seafood & sauces, with different spicy levels. However, whatever appetizers you order will come on a shared platter. Came here a Tuesday afternoon and it was perfect. Barely any people = no wait. We were greeted and seated right away. I loved the decorations! It made the place stand out so much. On our first time there, our server said the seafood bag she gave us was for the number of people in our table, which was 5. So today, I thought we had an idea but nope. Ordered for 4 people only and was surprised by what was brought out...a whole tray. We were wowed but also worried if we would finish it (we tried). We thought of getting a 2nd bag (for 1 person only) with a different sauce but glad we didn't. Also realized later that we got 2 clusters of crab legs/order previously, but today got only 1, not large ones too. Got them with cajun seasoning so I just took the sauce to dip the other seafood in. Cajun is more flavorful than garlic butter. I still wish the amount they give is consistent. Don't want to take home leftovers with added cost. The table next to us didn't seem too happy having to pay $10-15 more in addition to the $24.95 pp. We did better at ordering the appetizers and other menu items, just got the right amounts.
