I cannot say enough good things about NONO's Lounge. I booked a birthday party there for my wife. Jimmy the owner is a great guy. From when I first met him to the end of the party he was a class act. He did whatever it took to make sure I was happy. I wish more business owners would learn from him. I would recommend NONO's to anyone. I came to Nono tonight with two of my girlfriends. The drinks were cheap 21.00 for a Heineken, Absolut Mango and 7up and a Absolut Mango and orange juice. The mixed drinks were large. It was really bright in here and the place was divided into two clicks. Your not going to come here and meet people, if your single this is not the place for you. It's also an older crowd mostly late thirties to late 40's. No no I won't be back. read more

I love this place! NoNo is a really chill, cool place to hang out. It definitely looks like a lounge that was transplanted from downtown, but they make that look and atmosphere work here! The music is good and the bartenders are friendly. Theres also a great outdoor seating area in the back. The owner's grandmother knit little blankets for everyone sitting out there to wear while they're sitting around the fire pit. Speaking of the owner, I met him. Great guy! This place is terribly disappointing. A friend wanted to celebrate her birthday, but not at the typical sports bars all over Bayside. I chose Nono because it sounded nice and quaint. When we walked in it seemed nice. We got there around 8 and it was empty. My friend and I ordered drinks and waited for a couple friends to meet us. When the rest of our party arrived we took some of the lounge seating in the front. We were there for about 4 hours. When another group walked in we were told we may have to move if a larger group showed up. So rather than spend another dime we left. read more

Great bar, cool look. I moved from Bayside about 16 years ago and haven't been to Bell since. I was reluctant to meet a friend at NoNo because I expecting a kiddie joint. Instead I found myself in a friendly atmosphere where the music was hip and not overly loud. I've been here once with a couple of friends. It was relatively empty for a Friday night- which I'd rather have than a very loud and crowded place. I forgot exactly which cocktail I had but the service was alright. I find the name of this bar to be a bit strange, even if it's short for "North of Northern Blvd." The interior is actually not that bad- it's quite cozy with the warm, earthy colors and decor accents. Too many times have I passed by this bar and heard a drunk person slurring words to a song while trying to do karaoke. read more

recently added a bar menu. the food is great. actually better than great its amazing. i am a foodie. my favorite restaurants are Balthazar and Keens and Blue Ribbon. The burger here is the best burger in NYC. In my opinion better than Brindle Room or Minetta Tavern. Its an Oklahoma classic diner style onion burger. We showed up with atleast 20 people for a bday party...we were there from 8 to 1pm...drinks were watered down all night! Everyone complained they were drinking a lot but not getting buzzed. Also they advertise a nice cozy firepit area on the website, but when you get there, you basically have to beg the owner to light it up, we were there from 8 and asked him to put it on, he didnt put it on until 11pm! And he only lit up one! As soon as we moved from the pit to cut the cake, other customers took our seat. Lounge has nice atmosphere and potential, but drinks were watered down and fire pit area wasnt what is advertised, totally disappointed, will not visit again. read more

Not a big fan of this place. I find the spacing a little awkward. The drinks are alright and I've heard the food is ok. I just personally find it a bit boring and more for an older age group, so this place does not really work for me. But I have not had any problems here, so that's a plus. read more

This bar fills a nice niche in the Bell Blvd night life. It has a local pub feel during the week and a lounge atmosphere on weekends. It seems to be more of a 30 something bar. Its not too loud and doesn't seem to get too packed ever. The beer and liquor selections are decent ,but I can't comment on the more intricate mixed drinks. The bartender and the waitress are both friendly. When you sit in the outdoor area, they offer the women blankets if the weather gets cool. They keep their TVs off at night, so that it doesn't have a sports bar feel. Overall, if you get dinner on Bell Blvd, this is a good place to get a few drinks afterward. Its also good if you are getting together with a group of friends where you want to speak to each other most of the night. read more

I was in NoNo last weekend before the evening crowd picked up. Having been operating for years the establishment is a bit off the beaten path. Much of the Bell Blvd night life exists north of the Bayside LIRR, and is somewhat uniform. NoNo, on the other hand, is about two blocks south of the station, and provides a nice alternative.This place seems to be one of the better kept secrets of Bell Blvd, and is definitely worth making a visit to. Laid out as a tavern with a great patio area NoNo has infused elements so it takes on the ambiance of a cocktail lounge indoors, and an inviting beer garden-ish terrace outside . Ages seemed to range from early twenties to the mid forties. Glam rock jumpers, the finest selections from AX, and the more demure jeans and sweater were all mixed. It was a welcome relief to enjoy the evening's libation in such diverse company. The entire staff was pretty wonderful too. Our waitress was on point and friendly, and while she was helping others a bar tender even came over to ask if we needed anything. We got a chance to speak with the owner behind the bar. Very friendly and welcoming. He even sent us a round of the specialty shot of the night. After collecting random tree branches downed by Sandy the other owner got the fire pit going, and for good measure picked up all the makings for smores! Can't ask for too much more. read more

Recently had my fiancées 30th birthday party at Nono. Could not have asked for anything more. Mark the owner and Dominique the bartender did wonderful job. We had a three hour open bar. They were extremely accommodating and communicated everything perfectly before, and during the party. The dj was also fantastic, and really upbeat. You didn't have to wait at all for a drink, and the outside back patio was clutch. Nono gives you the private feeling and class that you want with the convenience of being close to home. so... nono for north of northern boulevard, but really, it just means the way the name sounds. i stayed here longer than 5 minutes only because a friend, whom i haven't seen in a long time was in here, and they have $8 bottles of delirium tremens (as opposed to the $10-12 norm). i don't have a problem with people ages 50 and up being in a bar, but what i do mind is when i'm surrounded by these people who are in denial about their age, trying to relive their glory days by hitting on a younger crowd. the middle age men are all juiced up on steroids with their tight shirts and gelled hair, while the women all look like they came from 1 planet that contained high levels of botonin. their music wasn't so bad, but do you really want to dance with mutants and be stuck in the twilight zone? read more

Came here on a Weds night. The layout and decor was great. There was one guy working which was fine. The place was dead and there were boxes all over...which was also fine. There was no chilled Pinot Grigio which I thought was strange because it's a pretty popular wine. It's ok to be dead, but you should still be ready. I have come here many times in the past last time I was here was with a large group we spent a lot of money and got shortchanged on the drinks every person said their drinks were watered down I had 12 drinks and was fine walking out of there that tells you that the drinks were most definitley watered down they are ripping people off they have no problem charging you and not delivering I don't recommend this place unless you want to spend a lot of money and get Robbed The drinks are expensive at nine dollars a piece the atmosphere was great the DJ was great I'm just very angry about getting cheated out of drinks and everyone else in our party as well we left early which ended up costing them more business because the drinks were so heavily watered down so while enjoying the restaurant I don't enjoy being cheated I'm not too sure if I recommend this place if you're going to hang out and not spend money then I suggest you go there if you're looking to get what you paid for then don't go there read more

Stopped into NoNo last night with a few friends while we were having a little impromptu bachelorette party. We made a beeline for the patio which was a great space to sit out and enjoy some cocktails with friends. The bar itself is more like a lounge with a cozy, sexy, cool vibe. This is simply the best cocktail lounge outside of Manhattan. The decor is spot on. The bathrooms are always clean. I like that it is a very classy place without everyone acting pretentious and snobby. It's casual but also a great place to take a date. My recommendation would be dinner at Erawan next door then several cocktails in the garden of No-no's. If it's cold out check out the fire pit in the back. read more

Best bar on Bell Blvd., hands down. The outdoor patio is perfect, especially in the Spring & Summer. There's normally a nice mixture of people in there, except for the baggy pants and sideways-hat crowd that seems to have staked claim to other places on the Blvd....you won't find them here, thank goodness! Has a great Manahttan-lounge feel. Never had a problem getting a drink. And I'm pretty sure the candles and all that wax at the front corner of the bar have been there since the doors opened. Had an engagement party here. Horrible, horrible experience. We reserved and paid the restaurant for 4 hours when the owner decided to open the doors to the public at 10:15 where people were pushing through our party to get drinks and seats. We had little time to collect the gifts, souvenirs, and individual belongings which some things were left behind! We were literally being pushed out by the owner. He was rude and when trying to reason with him as to why he did what he did...he walked out of the bar on us and never returned. Never, never would I recommend this place for anything.
