Nothing but praise for YC and the team at Nonstop. After seeing their reviews on Yelp I checked out their website, where I was instantly wowed by a few different looks in their gallery. I had medium-length color-damaged hair and was looking to get a shorter cut. I saw that YC had created a cut in a similar style and booked with him. When I came into the salon, Kelvin greeted me with warmth and I barely had to wait before YC took me to his chair right away and we discussed a few ideas for different shorter cuts that would be low-maintenance and fresh and cool. Afterwards, Daniel washed my hair and offered me tea. Everyone was kind and helpful, and the overall vibe of this salon was pleasant and efficient. YC showed me his preference for a new style which turned out to be a beautiful and versatile haircut. In trusting his creative process, I can say with confidence that this was one of the best hair cuts I've ever had. He gave me a shaggy cut with bangs above the shoulders that I can wear in many different ways everyday. Want to go lighter for summer and Vincent delivered. I always go to Vincent for all my cuts and color. This time I asked for a short hair cut and color. I have showed him couple of colors that I was interested in and what he and Daniel did was amazing. Vincent and Daniel was very polite and patient. When bleaching my hair he concerned about how I feel. I am not a professional but my blonde was very clean. Like always the store is neat and clean, all the stylist have mask on. There is also an atm available just in case, which for me is a huge convenience every time. Love the color and cut, I have received so many compliments on this color. Book Vincent or Daniel for the best experience and result NO JOKE! I book a week ahead since they are always so busy. There's a lot of olaplex product in the shop, including a treatment oil for $30. I got the treatment oil and it came with a 10min recovery treatment. Totally recommend this if you're getting colors cuz it protect your hair. read more

I've been to many salons during years. None of those gave me a good impression after I let them bleach my hair. I have no trust until I met Hiro! He is very talented and knows what I was saying. The result met my expectations 110%. I am pretty sure Hiro has a decent taste so he can do a seamless job. Here is the only place I will go forever! My hair is still very smooth and nice after almost 6 hours of bleach process. It doesn't feel dry at all. All I can say is they really are using good products on their clients haha. The atmosphere in the salon is good too. All the hairdressers help each other's clients when needed. It's a very positive place. I left happy ! Remember girls!!! You would rather spend more than let someone ruin your hair. Tip them good like 25%+ if you really like the result because they are all very dedicated. Respect! read more

If you guys are going to visit this Salon you guys should definitely make an appointment with Vincent! He is my hairstylist for many years and I am always very satisfied with the results. I love bleaching my hair and changing my hairstyle but am always worried about damaging my hair and hurting my scalp because in other salons I did damage my hair and my scalp once, I was worried that the same thing will happen but he very did do a very good job, he does everything by himself so I could have a perfect hairstyle. He is very patient with listening to what kind of hairstyle you want and if you don't know he will recommend the best hairstyle for you. I came in with reference photos, and Vice really took time to understand my vision and executed it with precision. What I especially appreciate is how patient and detail oriented they are. Kelvin is the absolute best! I came in the salon with a disastrously failed color job done by another salon. I was feeling pretty hopeless because multiple salons had already suggested dyeing my hair back to black as the fix job to achieve what I wanted would be too difficult. When I think about this place all I can say is JUST WOW! i had scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance since I was traveling to NYC from NC and they were very accommodating. Dino was excellent communicator and Vincent was amazing. I am Latina so my hair is a lil different from Asian hair but Vincent handled this challenge like the talented hairstylist that he is. I have wavy/curly hair and he was able to handle, it good thing my hair is manageable, took a while because I had a lot of hair (LOL) but it was all worth it. The environment was really nice and it was my first time there but I felt really welcomed! I got my hair done by Kris and even though the style was a little bit complicated, (in my head it was complicated because I referenced two pictures and asked for essentially a combination of both pictures) he gave me exactly what I wanted and the assistant (I didn't get her name) was also very sweet, not to mention the pricing system is great and for a Manhattan salon I think their prices are really reasonable!
