The crew loves coming here on a Friday night and enjoying a few cold ones before heading home. The guys usually invite the wives and we all hang out and drink. The beauty of drinking in a grocery store is that there are plenty of options to choose from. The bar specials are always delicious such as a healthy portion of fish and chips with a beer, $1 oysters that they shuck fresh, pizza right out of the oven or the endless options of Whole Foods. The beers are always cold and the staff is always friendly. Plenty of space for the kids to run around outside when they get the wiggles and it's always a beautiful scene around the fountain. We don't do it too often but when we do, the text simply says WFF for Whole Foods Friday Great conversations to be had and future plans to be made. Catch a game and a cold one here for sure.

Love this gem at Whole Foods! Can't beat cheap drinks for happy hour from 4-6. And the girls behind the bar are all wonderful! Shout out to Julia, Erika and Crystal!

My local Whole Foods is not as hip as this place and I was glad I popped in for a drink and stayed for the music. The DJ added to the good vibes and the bartenders were so helpful and friendly. You can watch the games and enjoy good food too. I had a blackberry BreweryX and it was punchy and refreshing for the heat.

Great Pub Style burger grassfed, charbroil, lettuce, tomato, pickled red onions, garlic aioli, bacon jam. I got kid size/pass on fries

I have made a lot of visits to this Whole Foods but today was the first time I ordered from the restaurant inside the store. Order and pay at the bar, seat yourself, and food is brought out to your table. Seating options are in the bar, at the tables near the registers, upstairs, or outside, just let your order taker know where you will be. Other than bringing out your order, there is no real "table service". 5 stars for the "Pub Style" Burger w fries $12 The burger itself was better than expected. Note: I ordered a smaller kid size version $5 because I did not want to eat a huge burger, but next visit I would order the regular size. The reasons I liked the burger: the meat is grassfed and fresly ground every day, it has a great charbroiled flavor and all the toppings work together such as butter lettuce, tomato, pickled red onion, garlic aioli, bacon jam, and a locally made bun delivered daily. 2 stars for the fries: I was expecting fresh (one gal told me they were) but they were frozen and salty on the inside even though I ordered them unsalted they were still inedible for me due to the saltiness. Personally, I can't understand why they dont serve fresh but I have noticed this is common with most Whole Foods restaurants I have visited-this should be changed. They were nice enough to let me try a side salad or vegetable instead of the fries which came with my kids burger, I opted for: 4 stars brussel sprouts: which were deliciously crispy and fresh tasting but on the oily side due to them being deep fried...but they were good! I would definitely come back for the full size "Pub Burger add avocado, with some brussel sprouts or a side salad instead of the fries, the burger was THAT good!

Food was great, unfortunately service was not up to par. But what do you expect from a bar inside whole foods where only 1-2 employees are manning the station. So, expect crap service and you won't be disappointed!! Now, if they had staff around that actually gave a crap, then i would rate them 5 stars. And yes, i know, this is a very generous 4 stars, but the food is actually really good! Try the cauliflower nachos, perfectly crisp batter on the cauliflower with amazing sauce. Beyond burger was pretty good too! Vegan patty burger with vegan cheese. Happy hour menu was TBD as they were "updating their menu" at the time...(as of 6.20.2018) I'd definitely be back, but only if I'm in a patient mood.

It was late and wanted a quick bite and decided to try the bar/restaurant inside of the Whole Foods Market in Brea. Ordered fried calamari, Caesar salad, and some beef nachos. The calamari was a little cold but it was surprisingly still crispy. I was caught off guard with the pepperoncinis. Still Ate them. A little on the salty side but offset with the marinara sauce. The nachos were ok. The amount of meat was a tad meager for my liking. The Caesar salad was my favorite dish. The croutons were not good but my favorite part was the poached egg on top of the salad. Different. The guy working the register was nice but to get billed he has to walk to a grocery register. Sucks that he has to walk more. It was a light day so not much people around. It's a lively atmosphere with open seating. Oh yea, you can watch the game and have a beer. Nice.

We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening and we were bummed that it was packed full inside. We decided to go have a drink upstairs, and then come back down later to see if it was any less busy. There must have been one big group who left because 30 minutes later, it was completely empty inside. There are a few wood tables outside of the entrance and several two seat tables along the outside of the side of the train, but for a first visit we definitely wanted to be inside. When you come inside at BXCR, there are two long green couches along each side that wrap around to the entrance to maximize available space. There are two steamer trunks on each side that serve as tables. We were surprised that all of the tables had a Yahtzee game on them, and we had a blast playing that while we enjoyed our drinks. If you happen to roll a Yahtzee, they give you a candle as a prize. There is good background music playing that fits the environment. There is some good décor with overhead baggage racks and international clocks on one wall, and gauges on the wall next to the bar. There are some small rectangular windows along the top of both sides, and some curtained windows on the right side which do let a little light in. When the main entrance door is opened before its dark outside, it does let quite a bit of light in and kills the ambience temporarily. I would recommend coming closer to or after sunset to not let any outside sunlight interfere with your experience. The drinks are made at the bar in the rear where there are several seats and a little standing room. It wasn't on the current menu, but I saw on a previous menu they had an Amaretto Sour so I started with that, and it did not disappoint. It was nice and frothy from an egg white and had Angostura bitters on top. My girlfriend started with the Calm Cruise which was great. It's basically a Pina Colada, but with an additional honeydew flavor in the background. For number two, I tried the C-League cocktail. The smokiness of Mezcal has grown on me lately if it is not the primary flavor, and in this drink it is at a nice level somewhere in the middle. The cucumber and cilantro are definitely present, along with a little heat from the ancho verde and a little sweetness from the Luxardo maraschino. This is a excellent easy-drinking tequila cocktail. Her number two was the Aviation which she enjoyed. Vince was our main bartender along with Sarah. They were very friendly and fun to chit-chat with while they were mixing up our drinks. This is definitely a cool place to check out, and we will definitely return.

To our surprise, we were so thrilled to see Colony Wine Merchant had a good sized menu with various options to choose from: small bites, appetizers, entrees and dessert. We weren't too hungry so we opted for the daily sandwich of the day and their seasonal soup offering. Every bite from both items was enjoyed so much. The soup had the perfect consistency of creaminess followed by savory tomato flavor. It had some delicious (and I think) roasted potatoes, and the side of roasted sourdough with roasted tomatoes was perfection and really brought the dish together beautifully. The daily sandwich of the day was also fantastic! We remember biting into the sandwich and it melting in our mouth. The bread was beautifully crunchy and the meat with all its toppings inside couldn't have been any better. For our drinks, we opted to do a tasting of whites and reds. The wines were selected by our host (if I recall) and remember enjoying them all. It was fun to taste not only different varietals, but wines from different parts of the world. I was especially excited to see they had a really great selection of wine bottles to purchase in their wine shop. I happened to see one of my favorite ones there. We ended up purchasing a sparkling wine bottle at the end of our experience to have with our thanksgiving meal the following day. The service was A+. Every interaction from when we first walked in the door, being seated, being provided food recommendations, was a great experience. The ambiance is perfectly casual with a slight elevatedness to it. You don't have to wear a cocktail dress or tux to come here but it's definitely a perfect date night place or to come with friends and loved ones and enjoy a delicious meal followed by great wine. My first visit was a few months ago, and I felt like I was bothering our server for water refills, napkins and other things. It was a Saturday night and while it was not packed, it took about an hour to get 2 panini's. Went today for my birthday, and my adult son told the server that the three of us were sitting on patio. Server shows up with 2 menus and 2 glasses for water. Sees me and scolds my son for not telling her that there was a third person. She brings a 3rd glass but never a 3rd menu. I specifically mention that we are here for happy hour specials. There is only 1 other table occupied, otherwise it's empty. We wait over 20 minutes to place our order. 1 personal board supposed to be $10. Plus (2) panini's. Wait another 30+ minutes... get our food and that's it. No check in - no water refills. My son goes and gets the server for a box and to order another personal board. We wait another long period to get it. I go inside to taste some cheese. We add on something to our bill. It was $104... I do some quick math and assume the price is because of the cheese I added to the bill. I add a tip on the lowish side, because we didn't really get any "service" to be worth the $18 I added onto it. I get home to review the receipt... and was charged $20 for the personal boards + the add ons... I am so let down. I spent $130 and didn't get awesome service or the happy hour discount. I was expecting to pay $50-$60 ish, and this caught me off guard. I have learned my lesson and won't be going back.
