I met my date for lunch at the Treehouse. Loriel was very attentive and asked if I wanted something to drink. I was tempted to order a cocktail or beer but I decided to wait. I also had signed up for their discount program which offers a discount on golf food and beverage. I had the BBQ burger and onion rings and my companion had the fish tacos. The taco tray was loaded with three fish tacos on a white soft corn tortilla. I was lucky enough to be offered the last taco. The battered fish was great as well as the pico de gallo. Very tasty. My burger and onion rings were fantastic as well. I'd order either of them again. Next time I'll have a cocktail or a craft beer with my food. After my date took off, I came back to hit a large bucket ($14) at the range. With membership, it was 50% off, down to $7. The mats looked fairly new and the range balls were a mix of old and new golf balls. They also pipe in classic rock over their speaker system which was great. The Brea annual membership is $100 but I think I can recoup that in no time. The renewal is $80. So year two of the membership would be well worth it. Don't forget to check in on Yelp, 10% discount was offered on the check in deal.

Great food. Relaxing atmosphere Nice view. Burgers are very good. Fries and sweet potato fries delicious. Alcoholic beverages very reasonably priced. There's always a drink special. Service is very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and wish more people would try this place as it's not crowded. Try it !

Surprise! Another 5-star, Taco Tuesday, evening, at Treehouse! This time we had a server by the name of Jackie! WOW! She is a valuable asset. We had a group of 4 out back by the fire pit. She was often checking on us before taco plates were emptied and beer glasses had gone dry. She remembered all of our orders correctly and who ordered them. Please keep her scheduled on Tuesdays! Lol. We keep falling in love with this place, over and over.

Lots of beers!!!!! For every type of beer fan. Also coors light draft is only $4 for happy hour

Awesome bar! A co worker reccomended this bar to me, as she knows I love live music. We ate here last night and heard the Hills Trio Band for the summer concert series. The bar has a beautiful open feel and the prices are great, given that this is at a golf course. The happy hour prices were top notch, I had one rum and soda water, and one glass of Mondavi cab. After happy hour, the Mondavi is only $5, soooo I had a few more glasses. The place gets packed, so I reccomend arriving at least 30 min before the band starts to get good seating. The crowd is older, id say 50 and up. However, my husband and I are in our 30s and 40s and consider ourselves old souls. We loved the vibe and the music. I ordered the hot dog with fruit. Very delicious and served on a pretzel bun. My husband ordered the cheeseburger with fries, and that meal was also delicious. We also split a cheese quesadilla appetizer, because we are big fans of ortega chilies. The quesadilla is loaded with plenty of yummy chilies. Overall, we can't wait to go back. We have added this place to our rotation of hangouts!!

Baja fish tacos, turkey avocado, and fried green beans!

He made the reservations online with Nine Social but when he got the confirmation, it said for Macallans so he called and spoke to the manager and we got a table here. Wine list was extensive and since he knew a lot about wine.... I told him to just choose for me. We did a pinot noir to start and then went to a cab. The cab was great! I ended the night with a moscato. I ordered the mango tango and he ordered the wedge. Both delish! The mango tango had that sweet and salty blend perfectly. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. It was really good! Service was excellent! They let you try the wine before you order a glass! They checked on us constantly and were really attentive. The place had an older feel to it and it's quaint. I like the coziness of it. They had live music going on and Tom the pianist did a great job! He sang to me when Tom was playing. Super sweet! Tom came over to introduce himself and told us about music nights and there will be singers there. We love this place so much we stayed until closing time. We were the last ones to leave! We were already talking about coming back for when the singers will be there. Our first time here... And definitely won't be our last!

Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card. They have a music trivia night on Thursdays which would be fun to try. We enjoyed our first visit here, and will definitely return again.

Although we may not have initially been heading to Macallans Public House, my husband ended up enjoying the experience, food, and service! We came in on a warm and beautiful day, so we opted to stay outside in their patio area. Macallans Public House is located in Downtown Brea. They offer a wide selection of alcoholic beverages and their food menu offers several options for various palettes. Our order consisted of - Bruschetta - Pear and Prosciutto Flatbread - Bacon and Brie Burger Everything was tasty. The bruschetta had amazing flavor and the Pear and Prosciutto flatbread was unique in all of the best ways. To be honest, the Bacon and Brie burger was also really good. I love Brie, so putting it on a burger was heavenly. The only thing that left a bad impression was my napkin; it smelled of the stench of wet dog. The whole napkin and every inch of it. I noticed immediately wiping my mouth with it! I thought I may be crazy, but my husband gave it a sniff all around and agreed. It smelled awful and made me question the cleanliness of the spot. Macallans Public House would definitely be a revisit for my husband so I would likely revisit with him if he really wanted to stop by in the future.

They also had all-day Happy Hour deals on Wednesdays. Loved the decor of this restaurant, just an incredibly cool vibe with elaborate Japanese-Mexican fusion art, neon, and even a huge rainbow color-changing tree in the middle of the dining room. We had calamari, corn ribs, steak tacos, king roll, dragon roll, pork belly bowl, and everything was well-cooked and tasty. The hot sauce they give is hot, fair warning! The dishes are complex with lots of varied flavors, which is a good thing because it's not just simple and boring, but it does take time to read the menu carefully. That's probably on us, lol. We visited on a weekday evening for dinner and found that the restaurant had largely retained the same look and layout from its days as TAPS. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only a couple of other occupied tables during our visit. While the menu offered a variety of options, it looked limited and, more importantly, significantly overpriced. Signature rolls ranged from $24 to $26, and even a simple pork-and-rice dish was priced at $25. We ordered the Chicken Tequila Cream Pasta, the Dragon Roll, and two fish tacos. Unfortunately, this is where the experience took a disappointing turn. The Dragon Roll, despite its premium price, looked very basic, consisting mostly of rice with very little filling. The quality and presentation reminded me of sushi from a grocery store counter. The Chicken Tequila Cream Pasta was essentially chicken Alfredo with red bell peppers, served with a slice of basic buttered toast. The fish tacos were another letdown. For $16, the plate included only two small tacos with no rice, beans, or side dishes, just the tacos themselves. To make the experience even more unpleasant, there were no complimentary appetizers, such as bread or edamame, to enjoy while waiting for the meal. The food overall was underwhelming and did not justify the prices being charged. The one bright spot was the service, which was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, Geisha failed to deliver the quality or value its prices suggest. Save yourself the time and money and visit virtually any other restaurant in downtown Brea instead. You'll thank me later.

They had an assortment of three different breads and all were tasty. - Jidori Chicken Schnitzel: This is a thinly sliced, breaded, chicken breast topped with capers and served with a charred half lemon and a lemon/butter sauce on the side. It was juicy and the breading added a nice crunch. Amazing flavor and I would order this again. - Center Cut Ribeye (Medium Rare): The steak was served with some roasted garlic and rosemary and was cooked perfectly. - Potatoes Au Gratin: The flavor for the potatoes au gratin was there, but I wish the potatoes were sliced more thinly. They were too chunky and I felt some bits needed to be cooked a little longer. - Brussels Sprouts: This is THEE side to order. The bacon steak is an add on for $10. Pricey, but necessary. They were so good and we couldn't get enough. - Butter Cake: If you know about Maestro's famous butter cake, then this is strong competition if not on par with Maestro's. Absolutely delicious and paired very nicely with their cappuccino. Service was 10/10 as well.
