a plate of food with meat and lettuce

Save your money and go the burger bar instead. Pho and chicken fried rice is not it for the price. I paid a total of $59.24 for an order of combination pho, chicken fried rice and spring rolls. The pho was super sweet. I had to drench it in sriracha and hoisin sauce to take some of the sweetness away. There was not enough noodles in the pho. The beef that they provided me was super stringy, the broth was not hot enough therefor it never really cooked all the way. I can never finish a bowl of pho at my regular restaurants but today I left hungry. The chicken fried rice ...some of the chicken pieces were half cooked. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My friend took me here during my work trip to Shreveport in early August as he's been here a few times. He recommended the oxtail pho which I planned to order but sadly they were sold out. No worries, the beef rib pho was our contingency which they did have. The pho comes in a huge bowl with three beef ribs on top. The meat perfectly accompanies the broth, noodles, and fixings inside. Squirt on some of the hoisin sauce and add some chili oil flakes in for a great balance of earthiness, spiciness, sweetness, and fattiness. Absolutely scrumptious! We both ordered it and we couldn't finish the bowls cause of how large they were. We also ordered their chicken wings (spicy) which were quite large with 6 to an order. Great crispiness and spiciness. Also, their drinks such as the passionfruit tea and vietnamese coffee are excellent and will compliment whatever pho or entree you decide to order. I look forward to coming back here again. I don't understand the negative reviews others have posted cause my experience here was a pleasant one.

Shrimp spring eggrolls - those 2 steady complaining that the rice paper looked like c*ndoms and refused to eat it. Enough about them. I arrived at 12:30. Ordered the potstickers and seafood pho. The potstickers were hot and fresh. Crispy and delicious. Delivered 8 minutes after I sat down. The seafood pho came out 3 minutes later. The broth was good. But the seafood was hit and miss. The shrimp and scallops were both delicious but the squid was chewy and the bites cut too large. The crab was off too. I finished my wontons but didn't carry my soup with me.

Pretty full Vietnamese menu and the place is fairly clean, though it's in a casino and so the crowds seem to come in waves. We were there on a Friday night before heading back home to Dallas the next morning. Price is pretty hefty at $23 for a bowl of pho, beef. Though it's a big bowl I just can't imagine the cost of beef and noodles in a soup would be that much. Again, we got a food credit so I didn't have to pay for it and left a $5 tip in their jar to say thanks. You order and pay first and then you can go sit down and wait until they call your name. Definitely had the faint whispers of that soulful soup that some pho places have, but to me a little overdone with scallions and white onions. Portion was pretty good, but the meat was a tad bit rubbery. They did have tripe which I absolutely love as well as the tendons so again it's ok to eat here, especially if it's on a food credit from gambling....where you probably spent more than the cost of the soup just to get the soup free....LOL

We also tried the soft-shell crab--it was beautifully presented and tasted incredibly fresh. One guest ordered the seafood combination dinner and said everything was well-cooked, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The fried rice that came with the seafood dinner was cooked very nicely with egg and great texture. Another had the orange chicken, and although there were several chili peppers in the sauce, it wasn't too spicy--just right. The orange flavor really came through, and everything was fried crisp, not soggy. I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix dinner (General Tso's chicken and shrimp with onion and ginger slices), and it was hands down the best General Tso's I've ever had. The shrimp were beautifully cooked, and I opted for lo mein instead of rice--it was fresh, lightly sauced, and not oily at all. This is not a buffet, and honestly, it felt like stepping back 40 years to when Chinese restaurants were more intimate, authentic, and personal. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the time from ordering to receiving our food was impressively quick. I highly recommend this hidden gem. They also offer sushi and a variety of lunch specials (we visited outside of lunch hours), and everything looked so good that I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

The SHRIMP SPRING ROLLS, however, left much to be desired. We unfortunately had to finally break open the spring roll wrap and eat only the shrimp out of it. Way too many noodles and the wrap was so chewy you could barely eat it let alone enjoy it. The WATER BOTTLE is how they serve their water to their guests. The PHO WITH ROUND EYE STEAK AND SOFT TENDON was good. The broth was excellent. The vegetables very fresh. The eye was quite tough, and having soft tendon before, it wasn't soft and sweet as previous establishments have. There were hard pieces and it was quite chewy. As you can see from the pictures, they do not "fancy the plates" with decoration or garnish. Very plain. Overall, it was a good experience. I will go back, but I will definitely not be having the spring rolls. As for the establishment itself, it was clean, but very basic.

I ordered a regular seafood pho which came out in a smaller bowl compared to my husband's regular size. Didn't seem consistent, my daughter also ordered a regular meatball pho and the bowl was small too. I'm not sure if it's the type of pho you order, but $16 for seafood pho in this size with shrimp and imitation crab meat, is not worth the price. Definitely not what I'm used to. The egg rolls were pretty good. And customer service was good as well. We may return to try their banh mi sandwiches in the future.
