    Shrimp Pad Thai

EXCELLENT food, beautiful design, authentic decor, cozy ambiance... did I mention absolutely DELICIOUS food?? We stopped in on a Thursday night for a spontaneous dinner. What a shock to walk in to such an upscale feel. Our party of 4 ordered appetizers, dinner, and dessert, and every single thing was spectacular. The Pad Thai was as good or better than any we have ever had in Dallas, and the Mango Sticky Rice is a MUST!! There was a decent sized crowd for a Thursday night at 8pm, but our server was very kind and accommodating, and quick to anticipate our needs. Being from big metro cities where delicious ethnic foods abound, we have been disappointed in most Asian restaurants in the Shreveport Bossier area. But this is an ABSOLUTE WIN. We will absolutely be back and will tell anyone who will listen that they have to try Chiangmai Thai!! Do yourself a favor and GO!!

    Pad See Eu with shrimp

A friend and I tried out this place and unfortunately were both quite disappointed in our food. I ordered the Pad See Eu and although it was good, it definitely could've had more sauciness and flavor to it. This is a personal preference but it would've been really nice to not had the tails on my shrimp as well. I love yellow curry and tried some of my friends and the flavoring was actually really good, but very overpowering, so much to where it took away from the dish. (She had leftovers and didn't even take them to go) We did try out the Thai Dumplings as our appetizer and that was a HUGE no---it had way too strong of a "fishy" taste.. we didn't even finish the first bite. I ordered the sweet sticky rice and that was absolutely delicious, thankfully! Our server was very friendly and accommodating. He checked on us to ensure we were all set but gave us enough privacy so we could chat and enjoy our dinner, which was appreciated! It seemed like he was the only server and did an amazing job tending to everyone! The inside was aesthetically pleasing. The seating was a little odd but there was plenty of space and we were able to choose where we wanted to sit. Overall, I don't see myself returning for the main foods, but would 100% go back for that sweet sticky rice.

It's honestly one of the best Thai places I've ever been too, I've never craved food from any place so when I say I will be returning to try more dishes I mean it. The staff is super nice and friendly, I truly felt like I was transported into Thailand with all of the decor. 10/10 would highly recommend.

    Larb with sticky rice

Met at the door by very friendly staff. Inside of restaurant threw me for a little bit of a loop as it is a mix of sit down but walk up take out. Very kitschy Thai decorations but very clean. Ordered pot of wonton soup and it was perfect to share between the three of us, only downside it came out after our meals, would have liked it to come out before. Taste was probably the best I've had in a while! I ordered chicken larb with sticky rice, which was served on shredded cabbage instead of lettuce or cabbage leaves but it didn't detract from the flavor, it turned out adding to the flavor profile. Husband and kiddo ordered pineapple rice and ginger beef, both raving about flavor.

It's ok. Busy during the lunch rush. Took a while to get food. Dishes were good size, just not the bold flavors I appreciate at other Thai places. Felt like food court Thai with a Chinese flavor.

Best customer service, super friendly staff. Adam & Lauren were amazing. Everything was delicious. If I lived here I'd be back on a weekly basis! You definitely need to try this place.

My food came quickly and was really amazing! I've have Thai food in Lexington Ky and Seattle and this is just as good if not better! I've been to many places in Bossier and Shreveport and this is awesome!!!

Great food with rich taste. I think they have the best curry in the local area. So delicious. They also make an excellent Thai tea.

Food is average to good. Server was abrupt and semi rude. A little disappointed because they are open on Tuesdays.

No problem! They were super welcoming. The place was almost totally empty. Our waiter was extremely friendly. The food came out fast and hot. It was very fresh tasting and absolutely delicious. We ordered the pad Thai with tofu and the massaman curry with tofu as well as a seaweed salad. The salad was gigantic. I've seriously never been served such a huge portion of seaweed salad. The entrees were bountiful as well. I was asked what "spice" level we wanted. Not being sure how it worked I just said medium. The waiter said that would probably be a "2" on their scale. It was spicy! Amazingly delicious, but I'd probably order mild next time. Definitely will stop here next time we're driving through Shreveport.

When I picked up the food, the cashier was nice. Bought home the food. Food temperature was still hot. All the dishes were pretty tasty. Crawfish fried rice had a good amount of crawfish in it (surprisingly). Papaya salad had a good kick but not overwhelming spicy. Beef salad was limey but not too sour. Overall would recommend. We also tried the soft-shell crab--it was beautifully presented and tasted incredibly fresh. One guest ordered the seafood combination dinner and said everything was well-cooked, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The fried rice that came with the seafood dinner was cooked very nicely with egg and great texture. Another had the orange chicken, and although there were several chili peppers in the sauce, it wasn't too spicy--just right. The orange flavor really came through, and everything was fried crisp, not soggy. I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix dinner (General Tso's chicken and shrimp with onion and ginger slices), and it was hands down the best General Tso's I've ever had. The shrimp were beautifully cooked, and I opted for lo mein instead of rice--it was fresh, lightly sauced, and not oily at all. This is not a buffet, and honestly, it felt like stepping back 40 years to when Chinese restaurants were more intimate, authentic, and personal. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the time from ordering to receiving our food was impressively quick. I highly recommend this hidden gem. They also offer sushi and a variety of lunch specials (we visited outside of lunch hours), and everything looked so good that I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

The SHRIMP SPRING ROLLS, however, left much to be desired. We unfortunately had to finally break open the spring roll wrap and eat only the shrimp out of it. Way too many noodles and the wrap was so chewy you could barely eat it let alone enjoy it. The WATER BOTTLE is how they serve their water to their guests. The PHO WITH ROUND EYE STEAK AND SOFT TENDON was good. The broth was excellent. The vegetables very fresh. The eye was quite tough, and having soft tendon before, it wasn't soft and sweet as previous establishments have. There were hard pieces and it was quite chewy. As you can see from the pictures, they do not "fancy the plates" with decoration or garnish. Very plain. Overall, it was a good experience. I will go back, but I will definitely not be having the spring rolls. As for the establishment itself, it was clean, but very basic.

I ordered a regular seafood pho which came out in a smaller bowl compared to my husband's regular size. Didn't seem consistent, my daughter also ordered a regular meatball pho and the bowl was small too. I'm not sure if it's the type of pho you order, but $16 for seafood pho in this size with shrimp and imitation crab meat, is not worth the price. Definitely not what I'm used to. The egg rolls were pretty good. And customer service was good as well. We may return to try their banh mi sandwiches in the future.
