Tastiest bowl of noodles in Newport. We tried the Jung Bong which is like a huge bowl of spicy Korean cioppino, with mussels, scallops, shrimp and squid. Seafood was fresh and the broth was rich and spicy. The pho is also excellent and we were surprised by both the large portion size and the richness and flavor of the soup. The thin-sliced beef was flavorful and perfectly cooked. We also tried the shoyu ramen with pork. Noodles were the perfect balance of soft and chewy, and the pork was much better than you normally get in a restaurant. Slightly on the pricey side, but the quality ingredients and skillful preparation make this a worthwhile spot for lunch or dinner. read more

This was a great find! The service was quick and friendly, the portions were generously sized, the food tasted wonderful, and the prices were very reasonable. The dining room wasn't large, but was clean and had nice decor. I definitely want to come back the next time we're in Newport. I had the Pho Noodle Soup, and my husband had the Miso Ramen. read more

I like to start with the ramen was pretty good, but it regretfully went down from there, the pot stickers were a melted down mess and stuck togeather and pretty close to burned, the shou mi were chewy and kind of a strange flavor I could not identify so maybe that was me. This was our first trip to this restaurant. We had Jung Bong and wok tossed seafood udon. My husband and I shared. The soup was delicious. It was spicy, warm and full of flavor .. the perfect dish for a cold and rainy evening. The seafood udon was also delicious and wonderfully flavored. First of all, the food was amazing! My husband enjoyed the King Bong, the seafood was fresh and the soup was spicy! I had the ThaI Curry with vegetables and udon noodles. Perfect for a rainy summer day! Also, they were very clean and met us at the door with hand sanitizer even for our takeout! One of the best places to eat in Newport. Certainly the very best Asian food in the area. We've tasted pretty much everything on the menu and it's all wonderful. Most of the noodles are made on site and every dish is prepared with a lot of care. Service is great and the owners are usually there to greet you. SO GOOD!! Five of our family members came here for our dinner one night and loved it. The chicken lo mein was what most of them got and loved it. I had the shrimp tempura soup with soba noodles and it was awesome. Service was great too; the cute lil ladies working here were really on the ball and suuuuper friendly. We've been there twice now, we've eaten there zero times now. The owner lady seems to have a real problem with seating a couple at any table that has more than 2 chairs. We aren't huge people but we're both on the taller bigger end of the scale. The first night we tried to eat there (on a Monday) night, there were several tables open. She first tried to seat us at a 2 seater table. There were 2 of those open, and 3 other tables with more room/seats. Both of the 2 seaters were in an undesirable spot in this around 12 table restaurant. One of them is crammed into a corner with a counter hanging over the table. If you sit against the wall you could bonk your head on it. The other table is snack dab in front of the kitchen door where the waiters go in and out of. When we asked if we could be seated at one of the bigger tables, she refused. Her reason was that she needed to save it JUST IN CASE a bigger party came in. I reminded her, in a nice way, that we are paying customers that are here right now, will she please seat us at one of the bigger tables? She looked at me like she didn't understand what I was saying and said no. So we left. We decided to give it another try today, Thursday at lunchtime. About half of the tables were vacant. Once again, she tried to get us to squeeze into the smallest table in the corner. When I asked if we could sit at the next table (4 seater), she refused. She finally conceded and offered to let us sit there, but said we'd have to share our table if it got crowded. My husband said no and told her we wouldn't be back. She didn't care. We've never been there before so maybe so maybe she has so much business she can afford to turn paying people away. I don't know. What I do know is that this place isn't for us and we won't be back. read more

We tried for months to catch them open, and after 4 months we did! Sadly, we waited 30 minutes for menus, my husband ended up grabbing some off the table. There is enough room for about 20 people in the restaurant, so it was not busy. There was absolutely no service. He ordered, I declined after watching the cook wipe her face and not wash hands, plus it took 30 minutes for water. He ordered ramen, 30 more minutes. It took 10 to eat it. Waste and sad. read more
