Service sucked. The language barrier was extremely frustrating. I went there with my sister because she had a particular craving for Vietnamese food. We sat ourselves but the staff was aware we were there. Took 20 minutes to even get glasses of water. The waiter took quite a while to take our order (place was not at all business, just two other tables with customers.) when we were ready to order, both waiters brushed us off to tend to the other two tables. When the waiter finally came to take our order, he gestured that he knew exactly what my sister was trying to order and assured us he understood....food was all wrong when we got it, tried to explain what we wanted, was assured (AGAIN) that he understood....food came out wrong (AGAIN). We have up, ate our (WRONG) order because there was no point to explain what we wanted any further, and paid for our food anyway...how are we suppose to inform the staff that they got the entire order wrong when they keep insisting they understand?? I tried to make a phone order but the person couldn't speak much English so I had to come in to place my order. I didn't know they had a change of ownership.The place looked the same. I understand why this place has gotten bad reviews, but being a regular I have come to love this place! (As mentioned by others) The younger shorter waitress seemed rude to me the first time my man took me there, even the second and maybe the third. However, after the first few times she was excited to see us and already knew what we were going to order and now even jokes with us. I honestly think it's just the language barrier and her mannerism. I realized she talks like that ALL the time. In her defense she does her job and gets everything you ask for. Become a regular and you get small chat. Just like anywhere else. Why I love this place: The food is great! I eat at a lot of pho places and I really love their pho. GREAT tasting Broth. Some people say bland but it's just based on your taste buds. I love adding lots of sriracha to my broth and when the broth is too salty like at other places, its too much. It doesn't end there! If you're not up for pho that day, by far their pork chops with garlic rice is the best! I've tried it at other places and nothing compares! A must try! It's fantastic. Taro Boba, is what I usually get at the end of my meal. Again, preference. I love theirs! I hate when drinks are too sweet so theirs is pretty good to me, cause it's not. I love mom and pops, hole in the wall type restaurants because (in my experience) that's where the hidden treasures are. So I followed my nose (and instincts) to the Noodle House and I have been a regular ever since. My go to is the oxtail pho. Not only is the broth delicious by itself, but the oxtail is sooooo well cooked and seasoned. They have high quality rice noodles that don't become mushy as they sit, and the broth is piping hot... so it cooks the beef to perfection in seconds. More than this, the dumplings are amazing and the service is second to none! In fact, I think I'll stop by for dinner today LOL! 5 stars all the way! read more

Went here on Friday night after the gym. We thought it closed at 10pm but getting there at 9:21pm we find out they close at 9:30pm. The owner was seated having dinner & welcomed us in so we oblige :) That was nice of her. She had her daughter give us our menu, soooo freakin' adorable! A waitress in the making, lol. I ordered a small Pho Ga. It tasted good & hit the spot since I was craving. They had lemon instead of lime to put in your soup. I also tried my cousin's Fried Fish Cakes & it was yummy. Guess another pho place had Crab Cakes & they're "better." The waitress was somewhat rude but I wasn't about to have her ruin my Friday night. She just sat & watched us eat, like a hawk. My wife and I have been loyal to Noodle House since we first moved into the area back in 2007. We find ourselves coming back on a regular basis. I wouldn't consider it the best darn Pho' in town, it's just appealing to both of us. I like the various rice plates and pho selections we've chose in the past. It's portioned fairly. If I had to point one thing I wish it would be a tad less cheaper. Perhaps in the $5-$6 range vs. $7.95 a dish. Otherwise, that isn't stopping us from coming back. I don't usually prefer this restaurant over other pho locations in Fairfield, but I thought I'd give it another try. The service was fine, nothing over the top but nothing to complain about. I ordered the Thai iced tea. First of all, it is definitely not worth $3. They use a powder mix, not genuine Thai iced tea at all. It was a slushy icy kind of drink. Didn't like it so much. I ordered the Grilled pork with garlic fried rice. (Garlic rice is $2 extra) the grilled pork is literally half fat. I was trying to pick pieces that were not mostly fat. I was nervous entering by some of the reviews and half-eaten plates of food left visible on more than 1 table. On the subject of tables, it looks like the owner took care of the one that seemed to bothering multiple patrons--the one that was being used as a utility table. I ordered what I successfully predicted would be a safe pick: Veggie Chow Fun. Can't really mess that dish. Also ordered a Pineapple Boba. Large, flat noodles in the Chow Fun. I didn't think I would like them. However with a few liberal squirts of Hoisin Sauce and splashes of soy, this dish was good to go. The Boba (my first) wasn't bad either. Might get my next Boba straight up, without balls. Decent portions and reasonably priced. I'm interested in returning to try other dishes. read more

This place sucks. I ordered two Pho orders and a few other items. I stood in the restaurant for 5 minutes while the counter lady talked on the phone. When I got home one of the Pho's wasn't there. Additionally, they did not include the Mong bean sprouts or cilantro. We went back to pick up the missing soup and they informed us they were out of mong beans and cilantro. I will start out by mentioning the biggest positive of this restaurant, which is that the broth in their noodle soups is superb. That being said, ordering pick-up was irritating in that we were only given an estimated time with a difference of 15 minutes: this is detrimental to the quality of your product when you're serving soup-based dishes, so the communication of a clear time for pick-up was lacking. On top of that, they made a mistake by giving us two chicken noodles instead of a chicken and beef. The quality of the rice noodles was also lacking: I get the feeling they use typical supermarket pho noodles with a mushy unpleasant texture. The prices here are reasonable, but you really get what you pay for both in terms of service and food quality. read more

Cleanliness : Once in a while you run into a restaurant that is not the cleanest, but the food is delicious. This is not the case. This restaurant was disgusting. The walls, the chairs, the tables, literally everything in that establishment was dirty. Carpet does not look like it has been cleaned in ages. The legs of the chairs are black from the dirt. We look out the window and what do we see? Someone had evacuated their bowels on the side of one of the pillars outside (i know it's not the restaurants fault but it was still disturbing). Service: The service was terrible. The waitress that took our order was not at all personable. There were only three tables (including ours) there at the time so I know it's not because she was overwhelmed. We walked in and she was busy so we seated ourselves, not a big deal, but it took her forever to bring us menus. Throughout the entire meal she never once checked on us or refilled our waters. There was an older lady running around bringing out food for people but she didn't know what goes where. For every item brought out she had to yell back to the girl behind the counter to ask where it goes. When we finished our meal we had to ask for the check twice before we got it. Food: the food here is mediocre at best. The spring rolls were no where close to being good. The wrapper was very tough and chewy. They used cheap iceberg lettuce and no other herbs or veggies. We also ordered the vermicelli bowls which was almost comical. Again there was the cheap iceberg lettuce. The eggroll that came in the bowl was more wrapper than anything else. The pork tasted alright , but there were giant hunks of fat throughout. I made the mistake of ordering a Thai tea with boba.....it was terrible. The Thai tea tasted like the stuff you get out of a can. As far as the boba.....it was like they put pebbles in my cup instead. The boba was not at all chewy, it was hard and I literally left the entire cup as is. She asked if I wanted a to go cup and I had to laugh. So overall it was a terrible experience. There are better options as far as Vietnamese food here in Fairfield. My suggestion is go anywhere else. read more

Hubs ordered their stew, which was more like soup... it was so watered down, like muddy water =/ (7.95) and it had the frozen carrots and peas in it ... omg... so use to the stew being more flavorful and vibrant and aromatic w/ lemon grass, star anise, basil... And the stew meat itself was chewy cartilage w/ bits of meat on it... *SMH * I ordered spicy noodle soup, was also disappointing, had mostly flank and tendon... wasn't as authentic as it was missing the pigs blood and feet. (8.95). They carry only one size portions and are smaller then other pho places we've frequented in ff/ville/vtwn. So we ordered boba drinks to-go (3.50 each) Our damage almost 60 bucks w/ tax and tip. There are much better places in town/solano for pho... this is not one of them. read more

I've come here twice in the last couple of months and received the same results (possibly thinking the first negative experience was a fluke). Overall the restaurant is dirty. There are a tables used for employees personal use and are covered with bags or food. The tables that are used for customers and menus are sticky There is gunk on the walls that probably have been there for years. The carpet is atrocious and disgusting! If you can look past all the dirtiness and disgustingness, the food is actually decent. I normally get the vermicelli noodles, but today I had a BIG HAIR in my food. GROSS! I did ask they return it to the kitchen and get me a new one, but my replacement meal arrived suspiciously quickly. Judging from the yuckiness of the restaurant makes me question the health standards of the kitchen. If you're looking for a cheap meal where you can get in and out quickly, this place would be a good option. I'll probably stick to the pho place on N. Texas from now on! read more

I am surprised at myself for not trying this place sooner, because it is right by where I work and the mall which I frequent (I mean what else is there to do in Fairfield?). So I think I've eaten here 4 or 5 times in the past year to get my noodle fix without having to drive too far. The noodle soups are okay. Not the best. Far from the best actually, but decent enough for when I need a fix. The rice plates are not so good. I've ordered a rice plate twice and I just don't like the way they flavor their meat. One time the dipping sauce that I got tasted funny, like it had soap in it from the bowl being washed and silly me I just kept using it and did not complain. The staff is friendly enough. One time I forgot my wallet at home and I had to go all the way home and come back and they were very understanding of that. If you are looking for some good noodle soup there is a place in Vacaville next to County Square Asian Market, that also has excellent rice plates. p.s. I like this dive. Muzak with melodies that was popular during the Vietnam war. I guess they know their audience and patrons. Decor is auction style 1980's, but the pho is more than yummy. I had the meatball pho, my companion vegi chow fun and we split spring rolls, which are some of the best you will find. More food than I could eat and the tab was more than reasonable. read more

My lovey and I are so addicted to this place. Every time we visit her parents, we are like crackheads needing our fix =) We usually order 2 different items so we can share but as of late, Love hasn't been very willing to part with her beloved PORKCHOPS. Terrible!!!!! 1. Our waitress was eating the ENTIRE time we were there. And she was chewing as she took our order. 2. Floors were dirty! At least a night or two of not cleaning. 3. I spilled my drink and she was too busy pigging out and being on her phone to notice and when she finally came around I had already cleaned 95% of it. She didn't offer to help or ask if I was okay, all she did was hold out the plate I had my mess gathered on and wait for me to clean it. 4. She disappeared in the kitchen for 8 minutes. 5. She never asked if we wanted refills. We tried to ask for them but she ignored us. 6. The food was sub par not worth the $28 for a soup and fried rice.
