The first time I ate here the food was mediocre, so I decided to give it one more shot. Long story short, I should've cut my losses and not returned. There was absolutely no one in there, which isn't a good sign, but I thought that maybe I just happened to arrive between busy feeding times. The service was terrible. The short waitress always had a scowl on her face the whole time we were there. The food was ok but my wife got a stomach ache and didn't even finish a 1/4 of her lunch. I've come here twice in the past few months after passing by a million times to get to work. Everytime I pass by, the place appears to get emptier and emptier and I can see why. The interior is absolutely dreadful. There are tacky unprofessional looking pictures of the food lining all the walls. A lot of them look like 2003 digital camera quality. One thing that baffled me was a table that was surrounded by chairs which is usually reserved for solo diners, however, the table had a bunch of stuff on top of it, making it a waste of space. The service here isnt terrible but it isn't anything special either. The waitress wasnt very personable and was very quiet, never smiling once. The food itself is okay. It comes out quick and the portions are big but the taste can come off as a little bit bland, especially the broth in the seafood pho I ordered. One thing I would never recommend is the boba. It is made extremely sweet to the point where I swear I developed cavities. Would I come back here? Maybe, if only for a quick meal. read more

I love noodles so I was very curious to see how this place would rate. I ordered the Chicken and Beef Wonton Soup. It was not the best I've had. I'm not sure if it was missing flavor or if the noodles weren't done. One of the ladies that worked there convinced me to try the Boba Thai Iced Tea (I had ordered a regular Thai Iced Tea) and told me I would really like it. It had these blueberry looking things in the tea (almost tasted like Mochi) but I was not fond of it and didn't finish the drink. Even though the soup was Ok and I didn't like the Boba I also ordered House Chow Mein for Take Out. I must say this was awesome Chow Mein! I will go back just for the chow mein! read more

I love this place because my order comes really quick! Price is decent and not too loud and packed. Waitress is a very nice girl and I believe has been working there for a while now. Let it be known - boba is scarce in Fairfield. I've only been to this place for the boba, and it's average quality. But it definitely hits the spot if you have a sudden craving. This place is so and so. The pics I've uploaded are a little deceiving. I had the combo vermicelli and had some egg rolls as an appetizer. Although the egg rolls were good, they were over fried. The combo vermicelli was a tad skimpy on the meat and there was a lot of cabbage underneath the vermicelli that made the dish seem a lot more than it really was. An okay place, but I would prefer to go to my usual Vietnamese spots. read more

Probably the worst service in a while. Only one other table occupied as it was past 2:00 for a late lunch. The young lady that served me was nice enough, but after I was finished and sitting around a while, she was on the phone looking my way and still couldn't see me waiving for a check. After her call she goes over to the register and I thought she was writing up a phone order. After a few minutes I walk over only to find her talking to another employee the whole time. Hate to see what the service is like when they are busy...if they are ever busy. Yeh, won't be back any time soon. read more

I have been to this place 5 times within the last 6 months. Its nothing fancy but I'm a huge fan of small business especially mom and pop places like this one. I let her lack of reply to me when saying hello and thank you the last time slide because I thought perhaps there was a language barrier but after I saw her interact with a woman today whom she knew her english was in fact just fine which means, she was just plain being rude and has no self pride in her job or her appearance. She walked by my boyfriend and I twice and never once simply asked if everything was okay. we had 2 entrees and an appetizer for a total of $28. I think that is definitely enough money spent to warrant even maybe, just maybe one simple " your welcome" or " have a nice day guys" I work in the service industry so I know what its like to have a bad day. Yes they do but I would suggest patronizing one of the other Vietnamese restaurants within blocks of this place. There's nothing significant to say about Noodle House one way or the other. The bun with grilled steak was fair. My wife had an ambiguous experience with the unPholike noodles and found them broken apart. The taste she described as "eh." I read another review about the waitress and her rude tendencies. I agree with that. In the Navy we had a descriptor about food like this. When asked how it is we would say, "It will make a turd.". Noodle house will make a turd and not much more. read more
